While FS23 is a step forward from FS20… it’s also a HUGE step backwards. We haven’t had in-app purchases aside from coins since FS14. That’s not exactly a wise option for Giants to go down
Thanks for the video! Answers most of my questions! Here's an answer for your's. I purchased a Sony Tab 7 to play FS 20. ( I now have a huge PC for FS 22). I hooked the Tab 7 to my Vizio 50" flat screen via HDMI and an adapter. Add a Bluetooth controller and rock & roll, dude! With a wireless charger you can play for hours. 😎
I bought the game on amdroid and immediately bought every DLC piece of equipment and vehicle. Cost me right around 34 dollars worh taxes. Bought the switch version for my son at 44.99. I didnt mind spending 34 knowing that 90 percent of my gaming is mobile.
And if you buy the extra content it's free and delivered to the store for you after you buy it. Thanks for the info DJ and yes I'll be unlocking all the content at some point just not all at once.

Playing on M1 iPad Pro 12 inch and compared to FS20 it is a huge step forward. Everything is like night and day - maps, visuals, production, workers, the list is long. For me now the game is at the point where I can easily just take my IPad with me instead of a gaming rig or laptop if I leave for work for several days. DLC items are a bit on the expensive side but overall as DJ is saying it is still cheaper than the Nintendo version. I am 40 years old and I do not mind paying a little for the huge work done by developers especially compared to FS20. Of course things can be different for someone who has to spend his allowance to buy tractors for 2 EUR a piece. As DJ pointed out in another video, most of those DLC items are not mandatory at all- in fact even though I purchased all items on day one just to have them, I do not use cultivators or Versatile tractor, Citan seeder, etc. The in-game stuff is completely ok to play the game, especially for only 9 EUR. I would actually like to see more DLC-s, more equipment for players to decide If they want it or not. Things I wish to see with updates: 1. Some kind of way to lock course/ straight line on the fields - by some reason I always tend to go off course and have to go back and fix some areas when the field is done. 2. Textures could be more different to distinguish different surfaces. For me it is hard to see where it is fertilised or not or even where it is seeded or not after cultivator or subsoiler. 3. Could use an option to stop start machines without completely folding or unfolding every single time. Would make lining up for next pass way easier. 4. More maps with bigger fields- on PC I am a sucker for huge fields where I have several pieces of equipment working on the same time for long time. On the same time I do understand that there are limits on mobile devices but a man can hope, right?!
I playd 2h last night on android and the graphics on "very high" are much better than Switch edition. In difference to fs20 my Smartphone was not hot. 🎉
Great video as always DJ, can't say that I am impressed with the mico transactions. Can earn coins in game so you do have to spend real money? Same thing as Giants putting mods on the modhub, why aren't they just added to the base game?. Doesn't make sense!
DJ if you are after a recommendation for a Android Tablet i would recommend the Samsung Galaxy S8 + with the 5g and 256gb hdd space and if thats not enough that Tablet has a micro sd card slot that recognises micro sd cards upto 1TB. As i'm currently using a Samsung S7 FE 5g and a sandisk 400 GB micro sd extreme pro memory card and haven't had and problems with either one. 🤘😃🤘. And got Farming Simulator 23 on Nintendo Switch and Android Tablet

There is no dlc content on the switch, you've actually got everything already unlocked, so you're good! =) There are no microtransactions in FS23 on Nintendo
Mobile gamers being punished by giants trying to make Nintendo tax fair. I feel its very unfair not only to hide all biggest equipment behind a pay wall, but then charge in game currency once you actually buy them as well 😮
This looks really awesome on your iPad :-) For me it is rather the opposite. On my new Android tablet I trained with FS20 and the quality when playing was ok, but not good. However the recording quality was very bad with only 22 fps. Maybe that's because I have to record with the tablet and can't use a capture card due to missing MHL feature of the tablet or something like that. Therefore I bought a Switch to get a much better quality in my videos. I really wonder how the FS23 will look on your Android device. Maybe better than on mine because of a stronger hardware.
Could be. I know the switch version is "ok" but not amazing. I am using an iPad Pro with M1 Chip, and running video out to a capture card. That works for me, and I'm not seeing any issues. BUT I haven't tried on android yet. Bluestacks doesn't work because of the api, so I'm waiting to get a nice Samsung tablet to play on full time =)

If you don’t use a mobile device it’s definitely fine but I like being able to take farm sim everywhere
