i like how they used a really old photo for the band at 4:10 even though they'd had a different bassist for years at that point. really shows the effort that the team put in.
Rivers improved so much in interviews over the years, he actually looked like he wanted to talk in this one. I don't understand why they wouldn't at least have adapted slightly to him and how he discussed things, because he is honestly one of the more interesting people to have on your show. Their amateurity is probably the reason they are still on this second-rate talk show in the first place.

Albeit he seems to have a bit of social anxiety but he handles it better than I ever could. I freak out when I have to speak in front of 15 people.
Exactly how out of touch, on a scale from one to ten, are these hosts with reality?? We had a guy born in the late 1800's momentarily air guitaring (awesome!!) and two soccer moms with probably no interest in modern music. Shit interview is putting it lightly.

A lot of Weezer fans are used to Rivers trying to become Mr. Popular and all that. Ironically, Make Believe (Which had Weezer's biggest hit song, titled "Beverly Hills") Has some of the most heartfelt songs Rivers has written. Varz has somehow kept his emotions in his music while being a complete sell out at the same time. That takes talent.

i agree with all that, and just so you know i've been going thru all the weezer cd's since then one by one slowly, and i know that there are a few good heartfelt songs later on that i havent gotten to yet cuz i've heard some of them, just not the entire albums, and i wrote the original comment here right after being bored to death by maladroit...... and while i'm at it i was bored to death by the green album too
