Hey I'm currently doing your farming strategy and I'm enjoying it, but while farming I decided to try it with a dark dagger instead of a chaos one and I'm able to two shot them. The damage for one hit is 1986. I thought I should let you all know.
Currently Using the Dark Dagger because they are weak to it, and with high stats it's simply better than Deep. I was thinking Yoel would be a cool short cut if you could pump out the end bosses with ease since at level 300 you need like 1 million just to level up once.
Omg this is what I've always done!! Its quite literally an unmatched method. Also I ended up doing this by myself. I wouldn't say i am the creator but I used this method without searching it up.
Hi! I'm trying to do this as well and i recommend if you have nothing to do or have spare time, I'm at around SL147 as of right now, with the mendicants staff i recommend 'Hidden Body' sorcery just before going on to the roof if your paranoid like me and don't want to lose all your souls. Stick to the Grind.
A few critical notes for those attempting this... You MUST be ACTIVELY holding the Mendicant's Staff and Shield of Want during the final blow to have their effects apply and maximize the souls gained per kill. This means that, with the staff, you have to at least have the staff equipped and able to do enough damage to get the final blow after doing damage using the method mentioned in this video with the dagger (or really any weapon you choose) to get the health down low enough (while Rapport is applied, as I prefer this to the ring that hides their awareness while they are behind you) to have one blow from the staff finish the job. This requires at least 18 INT. The differences in Souls gained are as follows on a FIRST RUN, NOT NG+1, NG+2, etc. (assuming you have the Symbol of Avarice and Covetous Silver Serpent Ring +3 equipped): - Shield and Staff Equipped: 37,908 Souls Per Kill - Only Shield Equipped: 31,590 - Neither Equipped: 26,325 Starting off, as my INT was below 18, I netted 101,088 souls per run (37,908 + 31,590*2, as my INT was initially too low to even deal a final blow with the staff on the latter two dudes). Equating to 50,544 per minute on average. In an hour, that's 3.0M+ souls. Once you get the INT up to 18 and find a good enough attack with the staff to deal a good enough final blow, you'll be closer to an average of 3.4M+ souls per hour. A few other notes to speed up each run to right under 2 minutes: - When going up the lift, before getting off at the top, run over the trigger mechanism again so it begins going down right when you get off. This will save you a lever pull and waiting for the elevator to come back down each time going back up. - Cast Rapport on ONE as soon as the enemies fly down, WHILE you are just barely under the small archway, and immediately switch to the Staff equipped while they duke it out. - Once one of them gets killed, cast rapport on the remaining dude if he still sees you as an enemy and take him out, ideally with the final blow coming from the staff. - Cast Rapport on the last guy on the other side and do your thing, again, with the staff doing the final blow. Best thing to do is play it safe, but "optimized," as you don't want to lose 1M+ souls and then fetch them again (stressful).
Only seen this video now, and thank you, finally someone who actually knows the best farming method, this was the same strategy that I used with my max level character. Only thing is, the winged knights are weak to dark damage, so the dark dagger is the better option Good video, nice and short and the details are in the description, that's how a guide should be.
I switched to dark infusion and dark clutch ring and I did 700 more damage on backstab, I did some research and foud out they are weak against dark and resistance against fire.
Okay so I've always been confused on this, does two shields or two staves stack? If they do, why not use the better bewteen the two twice, if they don't then I can understand why one of each is best
Also....use Rapport pyromancy on the axe dude first. He will take out one for you. Proceed with rest of said method. Maked this run so easy. If you are a paranoid player. Or have low hp. Use hidden body scorcery also 👊 Very late to the party, but there we are lol
I think it's faster to farm the knight at archdragon peak. On playthrough #1, you can kill about 3 of them a minute for around 33k souls, 11k each, if you have the shield of want, mendicants staff, silver serpent ring+3, and symbol of avarice.
Found the spot through.. I think this video's thumbnail. But didn't watch it. Then naturally stunbled across the greatness of rapport myself. I think my character is around.. level 170 ish now, and I can around 4 shot each of these with a black fire orb. I usually run in, sit back in the archway, rapport the front guy, then spam the fire orbs which collatorals the other usually (though sometimes they escape and kill me.) Then just rapport and gib the last guy. Stay in the bottom layer as much possible, because as long as you don't pass the second stone slab innthe upper area, they don't drop down and your souls are basically saved. I also save elevator time by going behind it and running over the button. Small stuff like that makes grinding this a breeeeeze..
Edit: ok this is faster. Would be even faster if you can one shot each of them. At 40/40/40/40 str, dex, int, faith, with dark clutch ring. However, if you one shot them, you wont be able to get the staff souls. Dagger does 2278 and bonk them twice with +10 staff. I would argue you can farm souls faster at anor londo silver knight who sometimes falls off the cliff. Seepent ring+3 Mimic head Shield of want Will net 9720 + 194 off screen death of unknown mob, for 9914. Alrernatively you can also have the staff and either when he falls or immediately after you shoot your last arrow at him, equip it for 11664 +194. Black bow +10 Hawk ring Dex ring Princess ring Serpent ring+3 Standard arrows should head shot him in 5 arrows. 40str/40dex + ring. No running. Immediate turn around next to bon fire. Thats 9900 - 11600 souls per 30 seconds, slightly faster if he falls. I can kill him from bon fire reset to death in 28 seconds. So roughly 1.2mil - 1.4mil souls per hour. This is NG. So I would assume its even more in NG+6. Considering the winged knights give 31000 (37000 w/staff) per kill in NG. Yet you have to factor in the time it takes to get to them, fight them efficiently and reset. It takes me 1 minute 15 seconds to run to them, get them to drop down and without fighting them, run back to bonfire. So you would have to kill them in 2 minutes to be 40,000 souls faster, 3 minutes to be 20,000 faster. So if it takes 4 minutes to kill them and run/reset, its the same as silver knight. Except they drop large titanite shards. So pretty much a backstab and heavy strike per knight. I'll have to test this. Im not sure it can be done that fast in NG. Im at 154 atm. You can't get the souls benefit of staff and shield equiped at the same time with another weapon equip. Staff has to be in hand and shield on back. So theres some fumbling around to be done prior to death strike. Even without testing, I still think its easier to do silver knight.
You know, I said that I was gonna get to max level and then beat the game again. All i have left in this playthrough to kill is midir, it's ng +3 and I'm level 242..... yeah no, imma just beat the game over and over farming yoel.
Hey, just so you guys got an idea! The Boss who drops the most amount of souls (Midir) at NG+7 gives you a total amount of 1.000.000 souls. So you've have to kill Midir more than 2.000 times to reach level 802 xddd
for some reason all the "fat golden knights" (idk what that thing is called in the game) when i get near one of them, they all gang up on me and i end up dying (im level 73 and im trying to level up)
For me.. i invade and equip covetous ring +3 and 2 shield of wants...The host, phantoms and darkmoon and blue sentinels drop massive amount it also reach above 1 million souls as invaders do their job
Hi, I have a quick question for the grind. What souls level do you recommend stopping the Grand Archives farming before speed running the New Game pluses
i would just do the grand archives to max level, they both take the same amount of time, its just speed runners say they get to max level using max soul gain after each boss kill and yoel levels to get to max, but they are both time consuming so pick your poison. Level 600 i would say you can get an extra 40 ng+ levels dosnt sound too out of the realm of doability
Im doing this strategy and I got a little upgrade, use the rapier(the one with 130 for critical) with the dark infusion,I have 40/40 str and dex and 30/30 faith and intelligence I deal 1640 damage with a backstab, with the chaos dagger I “only” deal around 1320,the rapier also as more range so it’s easier to end their lives. Ps:I was wrong dagger supremacy read the comment to this comment
I tried this. 40/40 dex str, 30/30int faith. Dark dagger does 1602, dark rapier does 1281. Try your dagger with dark, not chaos. To confirm theres a damage variable included on the dagger for backstab. Otherwise, the physical damage on the rapier vs dagger, doesnt add up.

dagger is what you want, chaos is the element you infuse the dagger with! (fire with scaling, fire enchantment on its own just does raw damage and no scaling with int and faith wheras chaos gives you the base fire and the +"damage" on the side of that. thats for higher lvl character, for lower level without int and faith id go with just fire
Hey man, ive played the game through a fee times and just cant find the body armor you are using(not the avarice, but the rest of your armor) it would bring me great rest if you could tell me what im missing or what to look up. @@Mcsteveberry I appreciate it and yeah I went through the armor sets with a wiki, and i did not find the torso piece you were wearing in this video. The dlc too. Glad you got back to me I didn't think I would get the name of the item until i would end up finding it.
Is there a reason that its a dagger you use and not - for example - a Claymore? Is there something special about the dagger specifically? Im starting NG+3 now and just finished Usurpation Of Fire ending. 😁
i’m on xbox series x and rapport still works for me. maybe you’re out of range? i’m not entirely sure how much range rapport has but i wait for them to drop down from the tower and use it while standing right behind the one with the axe since he’ll attack the halberd one right away.
@@Mcsteveberry Archdragon peak, a few steps forward and use crystal soul spear on the two snakes to the right to pierce and kill them both with one cast, another crystal soul spear to kill the one to the left, back to the bonfire and repeat. Takes less than 10 seconds and 3 kills every time.

I tried this farm, not exactly the same way, but this farm and it takes a long time, I think I’m on ng +7 and I’m only level 280, ds2 leveling is so much better
all 3 dude accumulatively each run, 10million souls every hour i timed for me follow the method i do in the beginning of the video, run up to the one on the left, turn around and rapport the axe knight, then go in for the 2 back stabs (with dark dagger they weak to dark) and then finish off the last one then coil out. they dont agro if you are behind them with dragon-crest ring. and i show you at 1:19 from lvl 1 -802 it will take 263 hours of gameplay of doing this
and i show you at 1:19 that it will take 263 hours of consistant gameplay to level from lvl 1 - 802 doing this method (including load times, warping travelling ect.)
If you have found all the mimics and still didn't get the symbol then try checking the mimic spot near the dragon slayer armour bonfire(from the bonfire run towards the sunlight altar and turn right, drop down from the broken part in the wall) The room over there should have the item. Even if you killed the mimic, the symbol of avarice should be there. Worked for me. Hope this helps👍🏻

I am using the ring, the simble of avarice and the weapons, but I only get 37,590 souls per knight Am I doing something wrong? Edit: Maybe it's because I'm not in the new game

(fire with scaling, fire enchantment on its own just does raw damage and no scaling with int and faith wheras chaos gives you the base fire and the +"damage" on the side of that. thats for higher lvl character, for lower level without int and faith id go with just fire
@@Mcsteveberry Oh i see, im quite new to dark souls, im more of an bloodborne player. Thank you for this info.
I am only getting 110,000 souls per run on your setup. What am I missing?
What Ng+ difficulty are you on?
"you have be'en dark souls 3"
Like is there a raaon to level up any stat beyond 80
Hey man, ive played the game through a fee times and just cant find the body armor you are using(not the avarice, but the rest of your armor) it would bring me great rest if you could tell me what im missing or what to look up. I have looked at all the ds3 armor according to the internet , and i still cant find it.
smough legs, ring dlc humanity fat dudesfarm, winged knight gaumtlets just search the wiki for these
@@Mcsteveberry I appreciate it and yeah I went through the armor sets with a wiki, and i did not find the torso piece you were wearing in this video.
dagger has a high critical damage multiplier , so backstabs are op with it
did this get patched? i did this a few months ago, but now rapport isn't doing anything
i’m on xbox series x and rapport still works for me. maybe you’re out of range? i’m not entirely sure how much range rapport has but i wait for them to drop down from the tower and use it while standing right behind the one with the axe since he’ll attack the halberd one right away.
I've always farmed in another spot and get over a million souls in less than 10 minutes for alot less effort, in NG+.
where? this offers almost 2 million every 10 minutes
Tf
Well I'm shit at the game and just barely started so ima save this for later, if anyone wants to help me through the main game pls let me know bc this shit is hard
How do you get to that roof
cann u maybe find macro souls method ?
where can i find the dagger?
Can you do it for bloodborne to?
look up the cumm dungeon chalice
Heir rune glitch
Can break this without all the extra.. free of charge, just patience and trust..🥵
I tried this farm, not exactly the same way, but this farm and it takes a long time, I think I’m on ng +7 and I’m only level 280, ds2 leveling is so much better
Use dark dagger instead of chaos dagger
Sorry I’ve been crazy confused do I get 284k every time I kill all three or one ?
all 3 dude accumulatively each run, 10million souls every hour i timed for me follow the method i do in the beginning of the video, run up to the one on the left, turn around and rapport the axe knight, then go in for the 2 back stabs (with dark dagger they weak to dark) and then finish off the last one then coil out. they dont agro if you are behind them with dragon-crest ring. and i show you at 1:19 from lvl 1 -802 it will take 263 hours of gameplay of doing this
and i show you at 1:19 that it will take 263 hours of consistant gameplay to level from lvl 1 - 802 doing this method (including load times, warping travelling ect.)
@@Mcsteveberry bro Ty for taking time out of your day to explain all that I appreciate you fr stay up brodie 🙏
@@Loathinq if you have any questions lemme know id hate for people who need help not get it id hate that to happen to me!
aye ur back
What bonfire is the closest?
Grand archive, trigger the elevator when you are exiting it so you don't have to pull the lever next time
From level 1 you’d have to kill 9,408 of them som’biches.
thanks for that info!
What ng were you in this?
i was at 7 i think but just get to 8 and its all g

Bro said speed run the main story a few times like it’s no big deal
I mean at lvl 500 and only doing the absolute necessities, not that unrealistic
why am i getting 17k runes with the mimic head shield and ring no staff tho
are you on ng+7?
@@garrettcarmichael1119 no if i was ng i wouldnt be looking to farm runes yk already beat the game on hardest
@@Stealth1228 I got no clue then

Does anyone on Xbox have an extra symbol of avarice? I've killed all 14 mimics and tried reloading...absolutely nothing.
Hidden body pestilence mist same
Bro literally said: finish 2 games to finish the game..
Only souls game where I ever reached the max level was in Bloodborne and only because of the cum chalice.
That one would give you about 400k blood echoes per minute for practically no effort, plus there were only six stats to max.
Nts 1:14
Max level is only worth it on PVE 99% of people don’t have the patience for all that farming that’s why meta SL is 150. I got to level 250 and just couldn’t get a summon
can you max out ng+ 3 2024
I am using the ring, the simble of avarice and the weapons, but I only get 37,590 souls per knight
Am I doing something wrong?
Edit: Maybe it's because I'm not in the new game
No thats just on journey1 on ng+ you'll get 60k each fatty
NG+7

Don’t know how to get silver serpent ring +3?
