Have to agree, plenty of hot rodders live their lives by throwing money at all their problems. It's fun to find the cheap car they swear is no longer out there, put on a setup we know works with used parts they toss away to hop on the latest fad wagon (or just the LS) and they're just surprised that what they were told is obsolete keeps right up with 'em.
Good video, I’m building two foxes a 87 Saleen clone and a 89 351w two tone cobra clone. This was helpful for my 87 since I’m not doing MAF, want to go old school with all the add ons and a small shot of Nos.

I don’t think the hp will be as high as others, I’m guessing 370ish~ but the TQ is what’s making it hustle so good. I think the TQ will be close to 4 fiddy.

@@Neomustangs It’s a 87 t top speed converted to mass airflow with A9L, trick flow intake, stock heads upgraded springs with a B303 and 1.6rockers. Should I buy everything in the on3 kit including there injectors and calibrated MAF. I have a 350lph fuel pump not installed. Can I just get my computer tuned at a shop or buy the terminator x. On3 offers #60 and #80 injectors should I get those or buy some 42lbs

Want your advice, in my 88gt convertible I have a 308 stock block, stock cam, 190cc aluminum heads, Typhoon intake, 70mm throttle body, 80lb injectors, On3 turbo kit with their 76mm .96ar, tuned with a Microsquirt with 12lbs of boost. Car runs great but I think it has the stock gears and 17" tires and very laggy as it doesn't get into boost until about 3500 rpms. What gears do you think I should install in it? Do you think the turbo is too big and should get the 70mm? I have a. 68ar housing for this turbo but havent tried that yet. Also what's the difference from the. 96ar vs the .68 on the 70mm. Thanks for any advice keep up the awesome videos
Bro I had to watch that video again to take a guess with not being in the car with you at least 400 horses I know you got a bigger turbo on your than I got on mine. And if you're impressed and saying it's better than the supercharger or more power that is 400 is killer horsepower

Go boost first. Then buy the other parts as you go. Fmu only set you back 150/200.

i went the opposite, blow thru carb with my turbo kit only because i was worried about the tuning aspect of the efi. much easier for me to do a carb

We tried last year didnt seem to make a difference and it just made the car run rough and fouled the plugs.

Depends on the engine. If it’s stock run an fmu and 19s until you can afford a terminator X and injectors and pumps. No squirt systems

It’s not the gears. Less your running lower than 327. It’s the exhaust housing
