im 29 in canada , point is very very cool to see a young man with a hot rod like that thats awsome ! just have to work towards it and make goals ! nice car
not specifically into your car make/model, or even drag racing... but still hooked to watch all the way through by your aptitude, attn to detail, knowledge, and technical abilities. and seem like a genuine chill dude with a humble modesty. GL man!
This is one of your best videos. You are genuinely learning while interviewing and we get to see the shock and awe of it on your face. I think you should incorporate more motorsports into your channel like auto x and drifting as well.
Awesome build. Killer Notch Tyler! Saw this thing in person at LS Fest. Its truly on of the nicest cars in the sport right now. Might be the cleanest coupe on the strip anywhere.
Wow! I cant believe the detail engineering and technology that is built into that car. I have drag raced and I had a very neat and safe setup built from scratch as well but this is a piece of art and technology. That car is a piece of art and such a beautiful build. Hats off to the owner, such a gentleman explaining in detail his beautiful piece of work......wow!
This young man is awesome, safety never takes a day off. I like how he explained how everything worked, like his steering wheel buttons. If he has a yt channel I would watch.
Dude was super cool, we stopped and drank and beer and chatted with them Friday night. Whole crew was nice and answered any questions we had. Keep up the good work Tyler. Keep up with the great content @AutotopiaLA.
@@gordocarbo he for does more than a lot yeah if you are going to add a bunch of power you need to do the brake and chassis upgrade. i don't like to see it when they put a bunch of power in it but don't upgrade the brakes. seen a video on youtube with this knida power and they wrecked it because the brakes where not upgraded and throttle got stuck and the guy kept driving instead of shutting down the car and figuring out why it was stuck
Wow! His commitment to being safe on the track and the tech he's put into this car. I'd call him a kid too cause he was born around the same time I graduated high school, but good lord.. The thought and ingenuity he's put into this car is amazing. Plus it looks sick as f**k. Love the older fox Mustangs.
Good show Shaun! One day we may see Tyler in Pro/Stock or Pro/Mod. Say, if there are engine tech junkies who love their motor builds etc., they should check out Steve Morris Race Engines. Steve talks engine building tips and also sells his own redesigned engines such as the LSX and SMX which make huge horsepower for the street or strip.
Holy shit! This guy thinks the same as me! Wow, this is my favorite TH-cam car video of 2023. He's thought of everything. He's overbuilt his car in the coolest of ways. Thought of all the clever stuff and cool gadgets. This exactly how I intend to build my car (granted my 1.8T20v is only gonna make half the power). This is such a great episode to me. Amazing stuff.
I was thinking the same thing when you first referred to Tyler as "kid" only because of our age difference and the fact that he still looks young. That's one helluva rip =snortin' monster he built!
What an impressive young man Tyler is. His drive, and commitment to be at the top in his field will certainly make him a force to be reckoned with. His pops must be very proud of his accomplishments at such a young age. Best of luck to you Tyler.
Mild manner Tyler on the street. Turns to Superman on the strip. What a kid 'i too can call him a kid i"m 68. T/F and FC"s doesn't have all the redundant back safety features that Tyler does. Kudo's to him. He sounds like he has a degree in Engineering. Sweet Fox-Body
The company director at my work has just bought a new Mustang ,a 4 cylinder mustang and hes in love with it ,hes already has plans to upgrade it ,as long as hes happy thats all that matters i guess

Shawn, this is so cool to see! I grew up and still live in San Diego County! Graduated HS in 1991 so you and I are pretty close in age. I remember all the "COOL" kids either had a Mustang 5.0, a water pumper VW, or various old hot rods. This is so cool to see! Brings back memories of me skateboarding at the local movie theater/strip mall wishing I could afford something fast! Love the videos, love your attitude! Please keep doing what you are doing! I enjoy every video and share them with friends!
Gonna Go with the Notch .. Less Body Flex !! Had a Hatch and had to do more cage work !! Hard to find an old Fox Body Stang or even a 79 up Merc Capri that I turned into a Wide Body 92 Stang !! Thanks Again Sean !!
Been looking at 88-92 Notches throwing a 525HP LS and Tremec 6spd for $11K into one would be a fun, reliable high 10 street car. Run that on e85 and pay $3.25 a gallon. WOuld need another $10K to brake and "handle" at SS 1LE money at that point......
@@AutotopiaLA oh sweet Sounds like 500-575 get you into the high 10s so that is reasonable and still streetable. If you can drive which for me not so much but had a 12-second 65 Malbu decades ago.
His knowledge of everything about that car, the mechanical, the sensors, and the safety system really impressed me. Maybe people building high HP cars should put more thought into safety systems like he has, seat belts, kill switches and hand brakes at a minimum.....
I ordered a MAF adapter from 269 Motorsports and the wiring was loose. The connectors were squished wrong and the wires came out of the connectors. Not the plugs, but the actual crimped connectors inside the plugs. For $30 I just let it go. Kinda funny to see the owner though. I know chinesium parts are meh. I wired the MAF up myself. Didn't end up needing the adapter anyway. Cool mustang.
a single turbo setup can be limited by its size--do you go big for big boost and lose low rpm response? you could get that back with a 50 shot of N2O. Twin turbos also keep the exhaust setup an equal length, and you can go with a compound setup--the first turbo is small to get a bigger second turbo to spool up sooner.
A big single turbo is more efficient. It saves a ton of weight out on the nose of the car which is not a desirable thing on drag cars. The only downside is a big turbo on a small(ish) engine like this can make spooling the turbo up on the line a bit more challenging. This is due to the small engine not putting out as much exhaust pressure as a larger engine to spin the turbine. As for the prior comment above, many (most) classes do not allow dual power adders. And compound turbos are for diesel engines. They don’t work well in a gas drag race car.
@@danmyers9372 I will agree on the weight issue, but if that's a concern, run nitrous which weighs even less and is easier to tune a fuel map for since you know when in the RPM range it will kick in. The racing class issues are valid, and if you're just running in a straight line, then the boost issue can be worked around with two-steps and trans brakes and other factors. Compound turbos/superchargers are found on Diesels which can see almost twice the level of compression ratio, and will work with testing and tuning. Look up "compound turbo" just on TH-cam, and you'll find a few videos of setups on Toyota 2JZ engines, which are 181 cid inline 6's.
@@PhillyDee215 blowers make nice noise, but they use up torque produced by the engine. I suspect on a Windsor, there's an additional issue--if you use a camshaft with the non HO/non 351W firing order, it fires the front two cylinders off at the same time. Combine that with the change in crankshaft weight on the Fox mustangs and if you crank down on the crank pulley to keep the supercharger belt tight at high boost...that could be part of the reason why these blocks take out their main webs on some blocks and not others. it could also be that some blocks will go over .060 overbore but most won't want to go past .040 over. and David Vizard has his own theory on his channel.

Great race car platform. Wish it was Ford powered, but overall his effort paid off. Stellar car!
This guy is serious about safety and is very knowledgeable about his car.
The foxbody by far is in the top 10 best drag cars ever made.
Popular but best..not on a subframe car. Cheap fun though
And by far the ugliest car ever made
Seems like a really nice guy. very well spoken and his knowledge
Smart young man and fully committed to his business and hobby
As a "non darg racing car guy", I find it mind blowing how much skill and guts and engineering it takes to run that 1\4 mile. Keep going!
Totally agree! Tyler is impressive in many ways

Ntchbacks in the drag world have always been more popular. They weigh less and are stiffer is the resson
