You can use the virtual tours on the UCR website and guide through those but definitely understand they are showing REALLY nice pictures of the dorms and apartments! Some buildings are half remodeled so its by chance if you get a nice dorm/complex or not! Hope that helped (:
Hello! Yes. I can totally do that in another vid if you'd like. Although everyone's financial circumstances will determine how you can pay for tuition.
Hi congrats to her! I’d have her do extensive research on both schools regarding what she might want to do. Ie: major, a back up for the major in case she ends up not liking it, clubs, the kind of community she wants for her college career! These are somethings I didn’t consider and wished someone would tell me to look into. Best of luck!
Hi! Im considering living in the Plaza, just to clarify when friends come over, are they not allowed to come with their vehicle inside? Also, how long was the application process, like in terms of getting accepted for a 1 bedroom? Also, if we receive fafsa will they cover living in an apartment like a 1 bedroom one or would we have to live with someone? Also, how come you decided not to live in the plaza anymore? I do apologize for these questions , I know they are a lot!
Hello! Yes, you have to get a key/pass to get through the plaza gates. Next, you need a permit to actually park. So friends would have to find street parking (usually super full) or walk over! (The plaza parking is trash and so is the laundry situation, 5 washers and dryers for all 4 buildings. It’s a nightmare)
Hello! So I highly recommend you do research between the two schools in terms of what you want out of your college experience and what you are looking for! So I know Riv has a lot of research opportunities and if that's something you're interested in, then I highly recommend but if you are looking for something else then look up what each school has to offer you in what you want. I am not super familiar with CSULB besides that they have a kines program so I don't think I can help with more than that
Hello! I had one, but I didn't use it as much as I wish I did. I also hated locking up my bike lol but I do recommend something with wheels because the campus is quite large!
currently deciding between UCR and UCSC for film. i hear UCSC is better for film major and i also like the beautiful environment at UCSC but i hear partying is better at UCR. i already SIRed to UCR (b4 i got off the UCSC waitlist) and am looking for a reason to go to UCR! what should i do??
Hello! Unfortunately, I do not have a lot of knowledge or experience with film majors on campus. Riverside is a nice campus overall, but it is the desert nonetheless compared to SC which is very forest-y. I think both are great options, but the main reason why I chose UCR over UCSC is because it was away from home (I'm from the Bay) also SC is very secluded, not mush to do besides the beach (which is super cold outside of July and August) and less places to go to if you don't have a car. So if you worry about the social aspect, its harder to get around in SC. Hope that helped!
UCR offers film department courses in theatre, film, and digital production, as well as media and cultural studies. My sister’s hoping to go into film and is planning on coming to UCR.
LanAnh Huynh hello! So if you’re going to be living on campus, as a freshmen they don’t allow you to bring cars anymore because lack of parking, but if you’re off campus as a freshman I do recommend!
It's really going to depend on your major that you are applying with, something in STEM would need at least a 3.5 unweighted imo but it really depends on your application I think its not a great way to look at how you can apply to schools because that's just one factor of many, hope this helps!! Feel free to dm me with any other Q's I'm happy to help((:
Nightrain hello! I’d say Glen Mor and Stone Haven are most worth it, and then Plaza, but everything after that is not worth it because it’s so rundown and overpriced!
Hi Ethan! If I were in your shoes, I'd compare the two programs and see which each has to offer and figure out what is important to me ie: the types of business programs they have and the different support groups they can have that can help you transition from college to finding a job. Unfortunately, I don't know either business programs that well so I cannot offer much advice as to which is better. I hope that helped somehow! (:
wow adelene!! thanks for this really useful video!!!! i was an incoming freshman year 2016 but this was really helpful!!!!! also gooo CNAS!!!!!!!!!!1
hey! I got into this school, and I was wondering about how all the dorms look?
You can use the virtual tours on the UCR website and guide through those but definitely understand they are showing REALLY nice pictures of the dorms and apartments! Some buildings are half remodeled so its by chance if you get a nice dorm/complex or not! Hope that helped (:
A brand new dorm (Dundee) is opening this fall, choose that one if you go lol
Hey! Can you explain when do you have to pay tuition? Is it before the quarter? Can you make payments?
Hello! Yes. I can totally do that in another vid if you'd like. Although everyone's financial circumstances will determine how you can pay for tuition.
Adelene Huynh thank you I would totally like to have a video on that. Especially housing:)

Hi! I’m debating between UCR and CSULB for a bio major. Which do you recommend I go to?

Would you recommend bringing a bike to UCR?
Hello! I had one, but I didn't use it as much as I wish I did. I also hated locking up my bike lol but I do recommend something with wheels because the campus is quite large!

hi! i was wondering if having a car at UCR freshmen year is helpful..i’m debating whether or not to bring mine lol
LanAnh Huynh hello! So if you’re going to be living on campus, as a freshmen they don’t allow you to bring cars anymore because lack of parking, but if you’re off campus as a freshman I do recommend!
I still recommend bringing a car and park on the street or u will be basically stranded on campus all year
Sancheneering they do have free shuttles and Uber and stuff is still a thing!
LanAnh Huynh if u wanna bring a car freshman year you have to fill out one of those forms online explaining why you need a car
LIKED! COMMENTED! SUBSCRIBED!!!!!! GR8 VID. btw can u send me the ochem notes lmfaO
Does ucr go by 10 week quarters?
Lauren Mendez hello! And yes!
What, are you doing now? Graduated right?
Hi! Yes I have graduated, and I'm currently working in the medical field (:
what gpa do you need to get into ucr ?

I’m a transfer student looking for an apartment. Which on campus apartment do you recommend?
Nightrain hello! I’d say Glen Mor and Stone Haven are most worth it, and then Plaza, but everything after that is not worth it because it’s so rundown and overpriced!
Adelene Huynh thank you so much I really appreciate it 💕
Hey! How do you schedule your classes for a freshman students
At orientation, they’ll help/make your schedule for you!
What school would you suggest? I currently am deciding between CSULB and UCR for business.

Parking is $115 per quarter lol
