Judging from the overall look of the place, this was not some kind of Taco Bell rippoff, but more like a Chi Chi's, or Mexican Food Factory. Now, when it comes to good tacos, a bunch of the brethren in my church's Spanish ministry make the best tacos you will ever have. They make them for our annual 4th of July picnic, as well as for our yearly Summit (where we invite pastor's and churches from around the country for a great time of fellowship).
Yea, this place was definitely a nice “Asheville” type taco place. Not saying that to be mean, but it wasn’t the typical Mexican taco restaurant. It seemed to go at the realm of tacos with a different look and branding. I think it’s something that will work well in some markets, but not all. With the white duck being a big part of the image, I think it’s a bit confusing. The duck doesn’t even wear a sombrero. 😂 I would have like to eaten here, but maybe I will try it in Charlotte.
I remember everyone wearing onyx hooded sweaters back in the day. The SF commercial was unfortunately so bad that a marketing team probably got fired after that one. It made zero sense… kinda like a Charleston pinball arcade video! 🤣🤣🤣
So about the sticky fingers restaurant, I am not sure what is worse. The suspect name or terrible commercial. The restaurant business is a tough one. Here is another unfortunate closing to what looks like a nice concept.
@@jeee1074 yes, white duck is cool… but the connection between a duck and a taco place isn’t going to click for most people. I think it’s meant for a smaller place maybe on oceanfront beach boardwalk towns. Mount pleasant has isle of palms very close, but I just didn’t see cars in the lot when passing by often. That Sticky Fingers commercial was horrible. The ad agency did a bad job. It’s almost like when I try to make the connections in my videos and I miss… and this is just a hobby for me! 🤣. Sticky at both locations that closed in the Charleston area looked like dump dive bars from the outside…. And that’s NOT the Mount pleasant crowd. If it’s “designed and curated” with corporate fake decor to be a “boutique” dive bar… then it would have done well!🤣🤣🤣
It's a smokin baby!
Oh! Is it? 😂
