I've seen this guy's works he's a car enthusiast genius. He does his job with perfection and precision. I've been watching the videos for quite some time and I tell you I love everything he does. I wish he can polish my car but I know distance is way out of range
Once again I learned a lot. It is such a joy to follow your work. And the rate this videos comes out i almoust rediculous. As I live in Europe there seems to be a new one up every morning. I love it!
THat first section you did on the hood as soon as you wiped it off I could see the difference before you bought the camera in WOW that was amazing. Brian these series are wonderful What I am learning is great. Thank you for doing these series.
Like the way You work the Edge of the Panel... The Low pile /lint wool pad sure finished great, no hazing~!! good idea to boost the polish with a bit of compound also. This is right up my alley!! loll!
Great information, I blow out and use a brush on my pads after every pass. Another detailer had solvent pop on his fairly new BMW. You may have told him what it was. Great info on contours!
I am old school too. Still use a double sided wool pad, the ones you never run flat on a panel for faded enamel paint or very fast clear coat correction. Those could burn though a edge in a heart beat, speed over the panel really gives you a work out. I thought it was the cat's meow when the "egg crate" foam pads came out. When I worked at a paint shop the last thing we would tell the customer before taking the car was to never ever wax or seal the car for 90 days but it was the OCD customers that would come back with solvent pop claiming we didn't paint their car right.
This one covered a heap of questions that i had. Wondering why you chose wool over foam but i'll watch this one again in case i missed it. Thanks. (Edited - the 4:00 mark covered it)
Nice work, fiberglass can be tricky I have done over 75 corvettes most of them classics, I got to work at classic car dealership and a restoration shop for a few years... I graduated from being a dealership detailer..lol!
Acid rain was definitely visible when tape was being applied earlier in the video. The product used for the first section on the hood- worked well; very noticeable on the video.
brian I appreciate your conservative approach. not going too far with polishing and being up front. for my personal car that has light minor swirls here and there. is there a glaze that you would recommend. one that fills in the valleys and is not aggressive.
I bought a new 2019 Audi car for my wife. Should I wait 90 days before applying a sealant so I don’t get solvent pop? Thanks for this great series. I have a C5 Vette so this is really useful information.
Hello fellow Brian, I'll be correcting my c5 next week. I'll be using foam pads, I have cutting and finishing. I'm worried about my DA stalling out on all the angles and pitches on the hood... I'll be using megs ultimate compound for the 1st step, and perfect finish for the second step. I bought the car from an older guy and it is swirled to all hell. Any tips for doing the edge and angles on the c5 with a DA? I also have some 3Done, would that be worth mixing with the compound? Thank you
This is gold.. Thanks Brian. Was wondering something, in lots of your videos, u always advocate the use of pad conditioner especially with wool and microfiber pad. What are your thoughts on using ONR as pad conditioner? Does they serve well as pad conditioner?
How many more times would you be able to correct that paint like that say that paint gets to that trashed point again? Also could you have accomplished these same results with a DA?
Do you moisten all the fibers on a wool pad as you would on a microfiber pad? Great information!! Thanks for showing us how it's done. U should be getting paid extra for all this good advice u giving out👍
Please may be review SPTA pads? They cost 24 usd on ebay from china for 5 pcs, size 5 inches. Really interested in their quality in comparison to more expensive pads. Thanks!
Man you finished down with the lambwool without holograms unlike the maxshine!!! That's freaking insane. Have you ever tried meguiars M85? I got it recently it was for 7.50 at my local pepboys so was like why not.. 32 Oz lasts a long time. Even if it sucks I'll have it just in case for those cheap problomatic customers that never want to pay full price.
Hi Brian....I saw you mix your two 3D products....i m thinking to mix Sonax cutmax with my Griot garage perfect cream (ratio 1:1) to make just one step on my daughter car's (Lakecountry orange pad) Do you thing it will work? Thank for your greats videos and your rigorous method .
OK I see you do not use a paint depth gauge. I was wondering why you don’t block send it and then buff. Or is that too old school? Enjoy your videos thanks appreciate it
What polish would you recommend for a once a year paint enhancement, for my own car. I did full paint correction about a year ago. It still looks great. But don't want to lose any clear coat . and is once a year paint enhancement to much? Thanks Brian,
1 If you all haven't seen a documentary called... It's worse then you think... By revelations of Jesus Christ ministry... I suggest you do... All praise and glory to the most high Jesus Christ
Part 3 will focus on MICROFIBER cut pads and how they react to stubborn clear. Hope this series is helping a bit. :)
Apex Detail Never seen anyone tape the crease area. Very clever.

Love that you have Liar Liar playing in the background
When Jim was funny.
Thanks Brain, for explaining solvent pop. I just had my hood repainted and was told to wait 60 days to wax or seal.
I half way expected to see some color sanding just to speed up the process but your explanation at the end cleared that up.
The “Professor of Shine” is blowing my mind!
Nice work, fiberglass can be tricky I have done over 75 corvettes most of them classics, I got to work at classic car dealership and a restoration shop for a few years... I graduated from being a dealership detailer..lol!
WOW, Brian keep it coming.
Love the series B! Tons of useful nuggets!
As always great video Brian. Tons off information.😎😎😎👍👍👍
Watching and learning!!! Thank you Sir from across the ocean (Athens Greece)
Acid rain was definitely visible when tape was being applied earlier in the video.
The product used for the first section on the hood- worked well; very noticeable on the video.
Thank you for answering my question keep up the fantastic videos.

Great content, you explain it so well 🇬🇧
Great stuff - can't wait on the soft paint/clear lesson. Thx
you never disappoint good friend. 🍻🍻🍻🍻

Love your Channel, I hope you get 100k subscribers soon !!!
You can get solvent pop when spraying also . Brian show us how to paint a car that would be a cool video.
I don't know what you charged for this but Whatever it was, it would be worth it ! Cars goona be amazing.

hello Bryan love to see ur education video. have little question. is it ok to run 5" backing plate on m550? thank a lot :)
Love the low lint wool but the purple foamed wool on the rotary is becoming my favorite! Have you tried the new 3m poly tape? It's amazing!
True professional @ work my car would love to be worked on buy you
Love you content. Very informative. Thank you.
Your Masterery is sick you finesse. & play that tool as a vertuoso
This is gold.. Thanks Brian. Was wondering something, in lots of your videos, u always advocate the use of pad conditioner especially with wool and microfiber pad. What are your thoughts on using ONR as pad conditioner? Does they serve well as pad conditioner?
Thanks for the quality video!!
How many more times would you be able to correct that paint like that say that paint gets to that trashed point again? Also could you have accomplished these same results with a DA?
What are the recommended RPMs on a rotary while compounding( step 1 ) and while polishing ( step 2 ) ?
Wauuuuuu wise experienced expert ...
Had this issue with my vette, did the same process that you did.
A common problem.
Use a laser to center the pad? Lol. Great demo!
Which types of pad is protect clear coat...?
And which types of wheels damage clear coat..?
Do you moisten all the fibers on a wool pad as you would on a microfiber pad? Great information!! Thanks for showing us how it's done. U should be getting paid extra for all this good advice u giving out👍
I certainly do. Some say priming the pads means nothing. I want less friction until the compound is spread out a bit more when turning on the machine.
Thanks alot
Please may be review SPTA pads? They cost 24 usd on ebay from china for 5 pcs, size 5 inches. Really interested in their quality in comparison to more expensive pads. Thanks!
Hi Apex :) What is your go-to strategy to finish down after initially hitting it with the wool+rotary combo :)
What polish and pad did you choose to finish after that??thanks!
You got a sub, good video

Fantastic
hey brian what do you mean? when you say your back side :)
Why do you need an incubator for blowing off pads?
Brian, Do you also tape edges when using a DA with foam pads and a mild polish?
When I am not familiar with the car...absolutely.
How would Megs D300 perform with a wool or foam pad? Exellent Videos!
I've used it before. It does well, but dries quicky. Probably a squirt or 2 of a supplemental wetting agent would do you well
@@nathanrsf8371 I hear D300 never dries up and just keeps going!
@@clevo351 from my experience, that's simply not true. It works well, and is my 2nd favorite compound, but it dries in my environment (mobile)
@@nathanrsf8371 Do you live in Arizona?

OK I see you do not use a paint depth gauge. I was wondering why you don’t block send it and then buff. Or is that too old school? Enjoy your videos thanks appreciate it
Michael Costeline I guarantee he used a paint depth, probably off camera.
Fiberglass guys...Corvette. Unless he has an expensive Guage...which he probably does.
I will get to all of that...patience my friend.🙂
So how do you know if your dealing with soft, hard,or just normal clear coat?is there some kind of reference for all the makes that I can find online
I will explain that in series like these....stay tuned.
Liar Liar in the background??? Classic 😂 "Weight?105. Yeahhhh in your bra" 😂😂
lol....I love his older movies.
What polish would you recommend for a once a year paint enhancement, for my own car. I did full paint correction about a year ago. It still looks great. But don't want to lose any clear coat . and is once a year paint enhancement to much? Thanks Brian,
3D one
da+wool+fine polish ??good??
Slightly off topic but what is your experience with Presta rubbing creme vs 3D 501 on heavily damaged clear?
501 is ok...but I prefer ACA
Apex Detail Better than Presta as well?
That clear is rough!😮
What rpms?
That's why they say to never wax or polish a brand new vehicles. Now we know
👍👍👍
I would have opted to wet sand 1st
all that so that in two weeks it becomes contaminated and looks the same as it was before lol
You call that trashed? 🤣
