- Elements CAL Week 2 - Crochet Blocking and more, My thoughts and Tips
This has been a fun week! Very satisfying!
Here are a few blocking tips for the size we have so far. An ironing board is useful for now but for the next blocking we need a bigger area. I'm going to order interlocking mats and hope to show them on the next video.
Also, be sure to review your rows to make certain you've done all the front post stitches before you end a row.

I block on a yoga mat. I got it pretty cheap at Walmart by the way. I was desperate and it worked out. I use a spray bottle also, pins and the very low setting on my hairdryer and then the cool air on the hairdryer. Make sure of course you keep hairdryer far away from the piece. That square is beautiful BTW.

To wet things well without soaking them, spray both sides and roll it in a towel. Don’t soak it when spraying. After an hour or longer, the item will be damp throughout. Spray again and roll it up again if necessary. I block things for a living.

Looks great but what size hook? It doesn't say in the tutorial
The pattern calls for a 4mm hook. I'm pretty sure that is what I used. If you are using the yarn in a kit you should check your gage to make sure you will have enough yarn. :)

Kathi Westbrook Yes it does come in a kit or you can pick your own yarn. It calls for Scheepjes stonewashed. I order from wool warehouse or Deramores. Do a search and it will take you to different options and pattern.
