This is a beautiful square. Please ignore the negative Nancys complaining about your instructions. I think it’s fantastic that you are describing so well that even newbies can do this pattern. I have 48 years experience and have no problems with you describing so completely.
Hi Glenda, just so you know. When you tell your viewers that you are repeating what you have just said. That does not bother me. AT ALL. I need that step by step. So thank you for that. 👍🏻🪡🪡🪡👍🏻
Thank you so much for not talking a hundred miles a hour and to keep repeat things great for beginners I like this so much, I am slow at this I am left handedly
I am so glad I am a subscriber of yours. I have seen other tutorials for this granny square that has the indention on the sides where there fptc are. Following your instruction on the fptc, I do not have that issue because mine are strait squares. I am so proud how mine have turned out thanks to your instructions!
Without a doubt you are one of the clearest and most thorough instructors I've had the pleasure to watch. In addition, all those free written patterns...wow. That is fantastic and super convenient. Thank you so much. I am excited to get started on this mosaic granny square pattern.
Hi Glenda 💙 Im gping to Make this as My Winter Snowflake themed blanket for my couch this year! I think Everyone will Love it! Thank you for this tutorial and for the way you explain everything. I watched others tutorials and they are all over the place, Not very easy to understand. I really enjoy your way of teaching! 💙💙💙
I recently dug out some granny squares that was meant to be a blanket that started while being pregnant with my son who will be 41 tomorrow! Of course, there was no pattern to be found!! I was very pleased to find yours and see that it was an older pattern. I was laying out my squares to find that I am still mising 2 to complete the blanket. Hubby walked by and commented that his favorite was this one and another one which was one of the original patterns. Of course I no longer had to choose which two to make! Thanks for the pattern and your great explanations as always. I don't think it will be ready to be given to him tomorrow for his birthday but Father's day is coming up and it is now my date I am aiming for. What makes this blanket even more special is that my mom made a few squares to help me but then life got in the way and I sort of put it out of mind and 40 years have passed . Now he will be able to share the blanket with his two new sons aged 1 and 2!!!
I did the last row as the other rows so that I can make blocks to stitch together. I used 3 shade of purple, ending with pure white. My grandson Jacob loves purple and it came out beautiful. Thank you very much
I just love this granny pattern!! Your camera angle is just perfect for us to see each stitch perfectly. Your are such an excellent teacher and I have learned so much!! Thank you thank you. Keep up the good work!!
Hi I just thought I would let everyone know that I enter the contest for crochet Afghan a new pattern. For Herrschners Afghan contest and I was one picked to be on their calendar for next year
Creative Grandma is my absolute favorite. I just learned to crochet. Her voice is so calming. Her videos are so clear and she works with you so you don't get rushed and get discouraged. I feel like I'm sitting right next to her getting a lesson. Wonderful!!!
Thank you so much for this tutorial. I love your voice as it is calming. I also love the fact that you are not talking a lot of nonsense or giggle. This is a beautiful pattern and just landed on my "to do list"
Thank you so much for sharing this amazing patern! A friend of mine has a pillow case made like this and we have been trying to figure out... without any success... on how it was done... now at last I know, thanks to you! My friend is 83 years old and still crocheting up a storm! ❤
Thanks for the very clear tutorial ! I saw these designs in some fantastic colors on PINTREST and wanted to know/learn the pattern ! those who, already know crochet may find a little lengthy BUT they can skip ..fast forward if wanted ! Hats off for your patience in repeating the stitches ! My favorite color shades !!you have a very sweet way of speaking and a voice to match !!
Glenda, you are such an awesome teacher. Your tutorials are so well done. You make it simple for a beginner to conquer this and all you teach. This is beautiful!
I echo other comments in saying that you are a great teacher. So clear, precise, and repeating instructions for learners to follow along. I followed your tutorial and am having fun making these. Thank you!
Just finished a baby blanket with this stitch! Thanks for the clear video, I enjoyed it! :) I made a continuous granny and it turned out great thanks to you!
I made one of these ... big squares ... 15" in diameter. SO pretty! Now I'm working on another afghan ... lots of different colors, one square that keeps getting bigger and bigger. LOVE this stitch!
Just picking crochet back up for the 1st time in about 30 years! I love this pattern. And you are such a patient, paced teacher! Thank you for sharing your skill.
My mother in law thought me to crochet many years ago starting with granny squares, so I have a special place in my heart for them. You are a great teacher. I love the blue square. I’m definitely going to make this square thank you for sharing 😊
This stitch is stunning. It's neat how you can incorporate 3 different colors or even 4 colors. With this stitch, I sky's the limit, this would be an awesome scrappy yarn afghan. Or, just use the same colors for each square.
This is the best news I love this pattern and was very upset when you had to take it off but I understood your reason I'm very happy you we're able to put in back on
Number one thank you for making this video for those who are just beginning it is fantastic and yes your instructions are very clear and concise. I do want to expand on foundations stitching that can be done with this pattern to make it so it does not bow as well. The foundations stitches that I do are on the first treble crochets instead of going around the first front post I do the Stitch Above and do a treble crochet to Anchor the rest of the stitches throughout the blanket and then the next row I do the same and then continue it does not allow for the bow to happen just in case people are getting frustrated with trying to get that correct height on the treble crochet so the square doesn't get sbrunk.
Glenda I have to say this to you....your stitch work is flawless. I'm watching every stitch you are doing and it's perfect! I love your tutorials and have learned so much from you. Thank you.
I just want you to know what a FANTASTIC teacher you are......you keep showing over and over again....I will be checking all your videos.......THANK YOU SO VERY VERY MUCH ♥️♥️♥️
I've been crocheting for 58 years and I this is a very nice video. You explain everything in detail which makes it easy for someone who is learning. Thanks for sharing this.
This is the best vocal description I've ever seen, I couldn't get anything from the ones with music, no telling of how many ⛓️ chains to start. I'd like to see more of these. The Mosaic is very beautiful.
ty so much Glenda I was always struggling with my granny squares but since I just started following you with the mosaic Afghan you made making squares so easy now I’m not struggling you are a god sent thank you so much sincerely naomi scott
Oh my goodness! This is so beautiful! This seened to bee very hard at first until you got started. I feel like a pro! Thank you. I plan to use this stitch! You are awesome!
Your easy to follow along with. You make every stitch you do so clear and your not to slow and not too fast. You explain things perfectly. I’d like to know if you have a tutorial on how to join the squares. If so I’d like to see it. Thank you for your time and help with the mosaic granny square.
I was having such a difficult time finding a pattern that would make my colors pop. I absolutely love this pattern. I will definitely share once I finish my blanket. Thank you Glenda.
Glenda, this is a wonderful pattern! I am using Red Heart super saver Ombre, beautiful results. I have also adapted this to a Hexagon, for a little girl's sweater. It is absolutely amazing. Thank you for your time and efforts with this pattern. You are truly gifted!!

Glenda, I'm doing the same pattern and the only difference is on the third row instead of doing a treble, I'm doing a double treble. It works out the same. I'm following a gentlemen by the name, Fiber Spider. He calls his Glorious Granny Stitch.

Glenda thank you for this awesome tutorial of this pattern! I had seen this done & knew you would probably have done it already..Im so excited- Ive only been crocheting 2 yrs..Im 65 and not a beginner. I like to be challenged..but was always intiidated with any Granny sq ..I just sat down today and Not only completed a Mosaic Granny Sq- I conquered the Sunburst granny as well- and I couldn't believe how much fun they were!
I just cpmpleted a tassel DCBL blanket- 48X58inblanket..and want something more colorful to do for Easter season..Thank You!!
Such a beautiful granny square. Love the blue! Thank you! 😻🙏
you are the best teacher in all of you tube as i have watched many even better than Mikey from crochet crowd. he is good but you outdo them all. Thank you for being the best.
Glenda, ive been wanting to try this pattern. Its beautiful.. i love all your samples. Thanks. Love your videos. So instructive.
I don't speak English, but I like very much! Thanks
Glenda, love your teaching I just am so thankful for this pattern, ty…
I really like the black, gray and white... Really pretty...
Hi Glenda I'm making this right now in a rectangle (I found a rectangle pattern on another TH-cam camel similar to your Stitch but I like the way you showed how to do it so I used your stitches) with red heart ombre spearmint Glenda it is coming out so beautiful I am so surprised of myself.all on count of you, you have inspired me so much Glenda you always say try new things and I did wow how wonderful. thank you thank you thank you!!!!!!!
what a gorgeous pattern and wonderful tutorial! I plan on making a blanket from this for my son due in 3 weeks. My question is, if i were to carry on the pattern rather than stop at round 8, would I repeat the previous rows and use round 8 as the finishing round? So keep doing the one double, one long front post, one double, chain one, etc, and use the way you did row 8 as the final round once it was to the size i require? I hope this makes sense!
Just keep the pattern rows and then finish the whole blanket like she did the finishing row.
I'm making one using RedHeart Violet Ombre 10 ounce skeins. I have 7 of them and I may just use a solid color for the last round and also add some kind of edging to it, depending on how big it ends up. So far, I have almost 3 skeins in it but mine is crocheted looser than she does.
I agree that she does an amazingly awesome job showing how to crochet.
You are one of the best teachers ! Ty
This is such a beautiful square! You've inspired me to try some colorwork!
