I just ordered my Ultra VP two weeks ago and have yet to take delivery. It's nice to see a review of the machine from just a few days ago. Roland also told me about the software upgrade. I hope what you say is true and I can get the upgraded 2TB drive with more games and more music. Like other commenters here, I have been researching the Ultra VP and comparing it to cabinets offered by other manufacturers, and have yet to hear anyone say a critical thing about it. Everyone raves about it and says it is worth the steep price. Sometimes you get what you pay for. The Ultra VP appears to be one of those instances when it's better to spend up to get the best right off the bat. Thanks for the great review.
Way to go with the T2 artwork! One of my fave pins and movie! I watch various Ultra VP machine owners and ALL have so far gave it rave reviews and are happy with purchase. The price is steep to get one but everyone says its been worth getting. Thanks for sharing what/where to watch for lag problems, one of my concerns. The more i see how well this machine works, the more I wanna save to get one, thanks for posting this video! 👍
Thanks a lot! Yeah I’m super impressed with this machine. As far as lag goes I haven’t really experienced any that I noticed. Except for future pinball tables. I’ve been generally staying away from those.
Thanks for sharing the review on your machine. I wanna get a Ultra Vp after seeing your review. I myself had a custom built VP machine. the software and setting up the tables and all the updates was a pain in the A$$ and frustrating. I got tired and frustrated getting tables to work and gave up on Vp and sold my machine. I havent messed with Vp for 3 years but keep up with the new tables coming out. this is Great that the software is all installed and tables ready to play. yes I understand the people complaining that the authors that have spent hrs creating the tables and sharing to the community. I see nothing wrong with the software and tables being installed to play. there's alot of people like me that don't understand the software and get frustrated and just wanna play pinball. as long as you are not selling games and only using them for your amusement only that's fine. people complaining you don't realize that all these commercial tables such has Bally,Williams,Gottlieb, Stern are all licensed and copyrighted. the creators that put these tables out have done so "illegaly" then if you wanna complain. about it. all curious how you were able to get the T2 artwork on your cab? do they have differnt ones to choose? thanks
@@greghornbacher8079 hey thanks for your comment! Yes they have a custom selection with a lot of different artwork choices. I actually just got my custom plunger not too long ago as well. Yeah I’m not really sweating the “illegal or not illegal” argument. The truth is, many creators use the official Roms and making changes themselves to them. Some changes are big while others are small. Some creators make way higher quality tables and some make tables that are unplayable. It would be difficult for me and very time consuming to research and make a video thanking the different creators specifically for over 1500 tables. None of which I specifically asked for, they were just on the HDD when I turned it on. Anyways thanks again and I’d def recommend getting one.
Hi Chase, great video! Did you ever end up getting the updated 2tb harddrive? If so, how is it? Also, does this have the 3d option built in? If so, could you make a video on your thoughts and maybe talk about the blower fan below (for tables like twister). I've have been saving up for one of these cabs and think I'm about ready to pull the trigger.
@@RalphLauren-b2w haven’t gotten the upgraded hard drive yet. I spoke to someone a couple weeks ago who works there and they said it should be coming soon. I definitely will make a new video when it comes!
I bought this last November and absolutely love it. I've probably played around 300 tables so far. I have favorites I go back to everyday but try to play a random game every time. I just need to learn how to update with new tables.
The hardest part for me was getting it up the stairs. We actually had to hire movers to do it for us as my wife’s arm is hurt and she couldn’t lift it. Once it was up there and legs were installed it was just a matter of plugging in the power to the wall. Very easy to set up!
Oh God yes. I haven’t even turned on my 1-ups since I got this. The difference is literally like comparing a pinto to a Ferrari. I’m planning to sell my 1-ups soon actually.
Yes those are on there, in fact multiple versions of those too. It has basically every real table ever created with the exception of some of the ones that have come out over the last couple of years.
I was playing a Stern Spider-Man the other day at a brewery. While it felt great, lights weren’t working, sensors weren’t responding, and the staff didn’t seem to care. Then I came home and played it on my machine and while the experience was slightly different it was just as enjoyable. And I don’t have to worry about that kind of maintenance.
Nice machine, but to say it’s the best. Not true. If you check out the xgc machines you see . Xtreme gaming cabinets. Made from scratch. With super nice specs. This is still a good machine. Just not the best.
Well what are you using to make the claim that xgc is better? Made from scratch? I don’t see how that matters really. Super nice specs? Are you referring to the new Titan package they offer with the 4070? That is technically more powerful but the biggest difference is the size. Xgc uses a 42” playfield while this is a 49”, giving a more accurate simulation. “Best” is subjective. Is there any reason you think xgc is better besides the upgraded graphics card?
@@chase5546 there was a few things why I chose xgc, I like the that they build them from scratch, not made in china. And they put in the best stuff you can put in a machine. Like 10 solenoids, 144hz screen. 43 inch,Yea I took the Titan package, ryzen 9. 32 ram.and chose it to be build in plywood. And a 4070 Ti graphics card. Plus I also took the 2in1 joysticks so I can play all there 17.000 arcade games on it. Plus the light gun drive, with lightguns. Over 300 lightgun games. And also I took the vr drive. Great to play vr pinball on it. When I first started to search the web and TH-cam for the best vp machine in the world I find a few companies building them. And after a lot of reaserch, like reading what people has to say, and watch a lot of videos.I decided that xgc had the best money could buy. I have talked to people that have owned both. So they really know. And they all told me to go for the xgc. For me it’s just that I want people to make up their own mind when they have checked up both companies. Checked there videos on TH-cam and read a lot of comments from different people. I can’t say with 100% that xgc makes the best machines in the world. But I always tell people to prove me wrong and show me who makes them better then xgc, so far no one have done that. Xgc only bad thing I can find is the long waiting time. That’s real. But so worth it. Only thing I miss on the xgc machine is the Jukebox. That’s a cool thing to have, maybe I get it myself on the drive. Xgc have 2 drives. One frozen and one I can play around with. Liked your video. And you have a nice machine there.
Wow...Awesome Review. I'm definitely considering purchasing one myself for the man cave. It really SUCKS an annoying Mouth Breather (get a life @user-fw1sf2qr2s) has to post so many worthless comments in the thread. Well Done Chase, and Thank You!

@19:27 it's just telling you your rom file is bad, or more likely, not there at all.
Oh...one last ? How hard was it to set up everything? I usually have to go the "pay a guy" route. 🙂

How does this compare to your arcade1up pinballs? Is the difference significant overall?

@@chase5546 awesome thanks! I’ve been thinking about ordering this and that was an important factor
I sold my real pinball machine for $7000. This is a bargain if you want just 2 good tables. :)

@@chase5546 I would like to give this a thousand thumbs up. There's a time to break from the old.
So you paid for software that is free that doesn’t make sense
it is also not allowed
Yeah, they’re still only peoples work and then making a profit. Not good.
Sorry, stealing peoples work
Actually you aren’t paying for the software. You’re paying for the 310lb machine and high end tech that’s in it.
But really good creators made these tables work and I’m sure they didn’t get permission so they are stealing
