I cannot wait for mine to arrive! I opted to wait for the OLED and am hoping V3.0 is loaded to the drive. I am lucky enough to live near the warehouse. After about 5x minutes of demoing the unit, I was sold. Roland & Tony are both so amazing to work with! so HYPED!
I’m considering getting one now that they offer OLED and are updating the software in v3.0. Thanks for the review of the other changes in the 8.0 model!
Some of that was already like that when I got the house years ago...I did cut off another few inches due to leg levers I didn't count for to make it all fit properly...but trust me it's fine lol no danger. A few other spots in the basment have a missing portion as well that was like that when i bought the house years ago and i never touched and was inspected with no issue. Theres concreate wall right behind this for support, and a wall right next to it as well. I can't however mess with this side of the basement anymore, otherwise it could become a problem, so def won't be touching any more if it lol. So no issues to worry about, but I appreciate you watching and your concern.
I may do it in the future but I'm not the handiest person when it comes to wood work lol and u def need to build a bracket and such. If there was a drop in solution, I'd for sure do it lol
Cool video! I ordered an XGC mini pin (TOTAN theme) a few years back and it’s in the current build batch. I started with owning a full size virtual machine and opted for a 32” on this build instead. How are you enjoying the machine after a few months of settling in? 😄
@ that’s so cool! Virtual pinball is simply the best. Eventually I plan to upgrade mine to a 4k 240 Hz OLED display and a 5090. Enjoy the machine and Happy Holidays! 😊
Nothing on the system is locked down but I wouldn't say it's straight forward, u need knowledge of how it all works. There is a third party drive that updates monthly made by a member of the cumminity if u don't like once a year updates directly from rec room
Its a cool machine, I looked into getting it direct from china for a better price but I get the support thing. I'm not sure that cutting of the joist was to code though lol and I would turn off those back lights too distracting
They wont sell you this machine direct anyway, they have exclusive rights with the them and building this machine for them etc. Lights dont bother me but thats why options are good, you can turn it off if you want.
What are your thoughts on the topper monitor? It seems a bit superfluous. Most games don't seem to have anything important up there, and it seems to be impossible to look at while playing. It also seems a bit bulky. Maybe ordering it without and ordering a custom acrylic topper monitor from somewhere might be a better option?
I like the topper monitor, it was never meant to show anything "needed" just cool artwork or movie trailers, clips, etc. Not to mention it has the strobe underneath, if you can fit it with the height, I def get it, the extra cost is worth it to me
Cottect, fx still isn't great for cabinet mode even if it has gotten better. But more importantly, like I mentioned in the video, the software is 2.5 which hasn't been updated almost 2 years now. When 3.0 comes out soon, will see what is on that update
@47:45 But if a ball is rattling around in the poppers for a while, isn't that way more stressful on the solenoids than flippers would be? I'd be concerned that if there's an overheating potential issue by having solenoids on the flippers, it'd be an even bigger problem for the ones assigned to the poppers.
No....flippers get way more use in a game and more frequently then poppers. That said plenty of people still use solenoids on there flippers regardless cause they like them
The amplifier is supposed to be upgraded but it appears this machine has the older Lepy one. Also, do you know what brand and model number of the backbox speakers, backbox monitor, dmd screen, and subwoofer?
The amp was upgraded the front main amp was i showed in the video, the back ones weren't. Fromt is the fosi I mentioned in the video. Video showed the speaker model don't remember what it was but I showed it. Not sure of the sub right now
Looks like a regular coin doors to me and def doesn't look like a toy but to each there own. Even functions and takes quarters to play for player 1 and 2
@@UrGamingTechie look at the coin door on any Stern or JJP pinball machine, it’s twice the size of that. I fact I’ve never seen a real pinball machine with a tiny coin door like that. Great review! Looks fantastic, and fits in right next to the real pins. I keep hoping some of the European pre-made vpin sellers will catch up to this level, but they're still a way behind.
Thanks for the indepth walkthrough. It looks great. Looking forward to more gameplay videos and seeing the 3.0 Drive. Do you plan to try out the SuperVPin drive at some point? I hear good things. Did you happen to consider Xtreme Gaming Cabinets' offerings when you were shopping around? They have really nice machines as well. Curious what made you choose the UltraVP over the competition.
Thanks for watxhing, first part of the video discusses why I choose rec room over the competition, and yea will be trying supervpin in the future and comparing the offerings.
@multipass1170 not true Rec Room World Ultra is the same machine as . XGC much cheaper. oled version is cheaper on rec room world . oled version of xgc is same price a stern machine really too expensive. xgc have a lot of bad comments. Rec Room World their machine is beautiful with good price

Question about the LEDs on the back wall. I only see 5 lighting up... the ones on each end don't seem to ever come on. What's going on there?
Those are strobes only happens on certain tables, not always used
