Thanks for your awesome and honest review. I'm only about halfway through and I'm already drooling for my machine. Your previous videos and Arcade Matt's review are the one's that turned me onto RecRoomWorld a year ago and convinced me that they're the machine to get. My wife and I have decided to build another house, again, so it's put my purchase off and Roland may have v9.0 out before I pull the plunger, but I am drooling over this new OLED machine. Thanks again Scantron and keep up the great work with your awesome videos!
Hey man, thanks for the comment. And best of luck with your new home. You won't be disappointed, this thing is absolutely killer and the OLED display is simply stunning. In my opinion, this is the creme de la creme when it comes to Virtual pinball machines. Glad I could help you make an informed decision👊
Thanks for the comprehensive video. I'm considering getting one, and what was really helpful was showing how you unpacked and set it up. This has helped me make a decision, as there are some practical/space issues that I needed to consider. So thanks! Now I'm really looking forward to your review of the 3.0 software update.
Great video. I bought the 8.0 LED display and have been playing it since October. I love it. The OLED looks great. I was offered that option, but it would have delayed my machine and bumped the price up by $1000. I am not disappointed with my decision. Thank you for such a thorough video.
Sweet looking v-pin, bro. I love the Terminator artwork as well. After the software update in January, this should hold you over until the end of time.😂 The real winner in this video was your pops. He's such a legend. Great vid tho bro. And congrats on your new toy.
Been waiting for this video, and it didn't disappoint. What a beautiful machine! While I agree that chrome t-moulding isn't my favourite, if ever there was an art theme that should have chrome t-moulding...T2 is it, man. Looking forward to your video on the 3.0 system. After that, you should showcase Super VPin's drive. Maybe even do a side-by-side comparison video with the 3.0. I know the UltraVP community would be big into that.
@@UofTguy shit, I may have missed the boat on the chrome t-molding. Good point. But I gotta stay true to the black accents. I love em. Thanks for droppin in bro👊
This is what I was wondering as well. My wife plays a lot of Vpin on my EHA Pedestal and the images is burned into my OLED (but, it is on older version).
That is and always has been a concern for OLED monitors. I think it's one of the reasons they hadn't gone OLED in the past, but the reality is the demand for OLED is so high these days that it just needed to be done. It's far too new to know, but worst case scenario, if that happens you could always replace the monitor. Even with screen burn I've had in classic arcade cabs of my own, it has never bothered me while playing the game. I'm honestly not too worried about it.
Newer OLED panels have come a long way in terms of burn in. You still want to be mindful but since the LG C1 they’ve had software that runs on the TV OS that also does pixel shifting in the background to help with elements that are stationary. Shouldn’t be a huge worry but also probably a good idea to not leave something sitting for too long.
@Scantron5k Coming from the 7.0 with the IPS monitor, to the 8.0 with OLED, how is the light washing effect on some elements? I know the blacks are going to much richer on the OLED, but guessing light washout should be much better as well? I have a 7.5 & most of the time washout isn’t an issue, but on some tables & some elements it’s noticeable & just thinking it’s a byproduct of back lighting on a traditional LED lit panel? Are they taking full advantage of 144hz refresh rate vs 120 prior? I need to chat with Roland & Tony but hoping I can buy a LG C4 & upgrade it myself to go along with the 3.0 software update. I do know there’s some extra bracketing with the C4 that would have to be addressed. Your machine is looking great, thanks for the video!
@@Dee_Moneyyy hey man, thanks for the comment. Honestly, I'm not noticing any light washout. The OLED is leaps and bounds ahead of the IPS monitor, no question. That's not to say that maybe you might find it on a table or two that I haven't seen or played with the washout you are referring to, but I wouldn't worry about any washout being worse than what you see on the 7.5. If anything, everything has been drastically improved.
@ I will definitely say once I switched to an OLED tv it was definitely a huge upgrade prior…same with the latest iPad. It’s much richer, so just for the richer, higher contrast I figured it would be worth it. Cheers.
@@LinkCherryTree I assume you are referring to the furniture dollies under each of the legs? You can buy them for like $7 each at Northern Tool. Or you can buy them on Amazon.

not saying this is bad virtual pinball machine but one thing good about this pinball machine is you don't have to wait 2 years. but if you can wait 2 years like from Xtreme Gaming Cabinets. but I feel like Xtreme Gaming Cabinets is better pinball machine and Xtreme Gaming Cabinets use better high-end parts. I think Xtreme Gaming Cabinets use a gaming monitor over 4k TV screen. I'm not sure if this company ever update their games and software hard drive like Xtreme Gaming Cabinets does. but this is best virtual pinball machine you can buy in US. and pretty much same price from this company and from Xtreme Gaming Cabinets about $10k-$12k
This company has made new arrangements with their software development to get a fully updated hard drive ready and available by end of January 2025. And it will continuously be updated from here on out. The OLED monitor in this machine is definitely a gaming monitor at 144hz.
Everything is too flat. Ramps and wire forms look like they are lying on the playfield. That's what did stops me from getting an expensive virtual pin.
Is what it is. That's how the tables were created, regardless of the cab builder. However, if you stand over it, I think you'd be surprised at how the depth ACTAULLY looks when you play the machine.
Quick question, I'm curious how much of the sound can be turned down for people who live in apartments and want to keep noise to a minimum? Same goes for all the solenoids and contacts, are those clicking sounds on all the time? Thanks.
Hey, if you watch where I show the under side of the cab, you'll see switches that can deactivate all of the solenoids, etc. And then the volume can be turned completely off if you choose. 100% quiet if that's what you want.

Question: What is the specs/supplier for the black T-molding replacement for the backbox?
You can get a 5% discount for the trim at t-molding.com if you use my promo code "SCANTRON5K." I can't remember the width… but you'll need 12ft.
Dang Scan! Looks awesome bro..

did all of the extras come with the table or were they upcharges? Amazing stuff!!
