- Welcome back to another Stardew Valley Challenge Run! This time I'm doing a challenge where I'll have to play Stardew Valley without my farm. Linus is the best NPC in Stardew so we'll have to be more like him :)

This was a fun challenge, though i think you should have allowed fishing because we know Linus definitely does fish. You could just say like only one meal a day can be fish or something
Also would have been interesting to do a mine run! At least then you know you wouldn't run into any NPCs
One problem with that is I'm pretty sure you have to read Willy's letter to spawn the cutscene to get the fishing rod. This means going on the farm AND talking to Willy, at least in a normal playthrough. I wouldn't be against using a mod to spawn it in, though!

It made me so sad when Linus declined living on my farm. He thought I meant in a house.

@@sophiathefurbst I'd imagine that the farm could get quite a lot louder and more busy. Then again, Linus does live on the path to the only train station
@@BierBart12 yeah, exactly the last thing you said: he’s right by the train, Joja does jackhammering by the cave for the first couple days you’re there, robin’s always working on woodworking, SOMEONE THROWS STONES AT HIS TENT, I don’t see why my farm would necessarily be louder? maybe unless I have one of those note block farmed, but…
Linus is my best friend, just because it’s so easy to give him a random foraged item taking up space. Also because he’s a cool dude

To be honest I feel like 11 is such a student time to eat breakfast though?? Like if you meant school student then yeah, but I know as a uni student I often don't wake up until almost midday because I only had afternoon classes and stay up late the night before haha

Linus was the first villager I got 10 Hearts with because I passed him every day on the way to the mines.

I've played Stardew Valley in Don't Starve Together; but i've never thought that playing as Linus would be playing Don't Starve Together in Stardew Valley

@@emilystar5643 i reduced hound attacks on the configs, I focused on farming, on delivering Pearl's quests, on the more exploring/collecting items aspects to it and it was pretty fun!

I think I’m gonna try that, I love both games but suck at the combat aspects of Don’t Starve.
Friendship with linus makes it very clear he does a lot of fishing to survive, I think this challenge would've been better if you could fish instead of using money/shopping, but apply the same rule to fish - so you can only eat one type every so often.
I would have never imagined that I'd be so invested in the life of the homeless man who steals from me when I die in the mines

he’s not using a mod! the npcs notice you when you look through the trash and it lowers friendship

PLEASE KEEP MAKING THESE LINUS VIDEOS I LOVE THEM LMAO maybe add in that you can eat one fish a day but if you eat a tuna, you cant eat that until 4 days later? and also maybe add in that you can use drinks as a meal, aka like coffee for breakfast, a beer for dinner etc. id love to see you get through spring like this, and then eventually through every season!! legit would pay you money to keep doing this LOL so if you do decide to keep going, add some more rules so its a tinnnny bit more realistic for you to be able to complete the challenge! or maybe you cant sell any fish? that way you can fish for food but not for money, and only beach foragables are allowed to be sold etc :D
perhaps to make it more realistic he has to cap the amount of fish he can get in a day or what kinds of fish. Also seaweed is edible, and Linus is def the type to fish the trash out of the water. Like the average person can't get 3 sturgeon and 15 other fish in a day like the farmer LOL
You should try living like the dwarf sleep in the mines the dwarf shop is automatically open but you cannot be seen except the dwarf and shopkeepers and finally you can only be out of the mines until 2:30/3pm before passing out

You should do this again with the harvest anywhere mod and the furniture anywhere mod and place the miniature shipping bin and use that as the the challenge maybe even live closer to Linus or in his tent even haha

I've been having the worst leek luck when it comes to doing Evelyn's Gifts for George quest. My first year I found leeks every day. Year three, for the whole month I only found 9 leaks and had to trust that I get some from spring seeds.

I think it’d be interesting to see “Stardew Valley but I’m Marnie.” I would do that myself, but I’m not sure how many in-game days would make for a challenging but plausible limit. (And I can’t record or mod my game because I use a Switch.)

Hey Seanie, do you have any tips for someone trying to start a Stardew channel?
I might have a few, though I’m no expert,
1. Try to have a consistent upload schedale, doesn’t need to be often, just consistent
2. Use mods/cheats to get stuff for videos, no point working forever for one video
3. Make sure your audio quality is alright, doesn’t need to be perfect, but not any super noticeable faults
4. Find some nice non copywrited music if you need to speed something up
These are just recording tips and general and I’m not a expert in these things

You should put a minimum of one vegetable / fruit and one fish / bug meat steak a day to deal with the malnutrition, and no junk food dishes more than 3 times a week or something like that lol
