- Last time I did a Stardew Valley Speedrun of Concerned Ape's first two secret statues. Now I'm here to finish it off and get Freugman! Stardew Valley Challenges go CRAZY! It's not as impressive as How I Married Haley Before the First Flower Dance, but I think I still did a great job!

he sends you both the recipe and the buns i got 3 of them at 4 hearts its not a heart events so it says nothing about it on his wiki
@@thecowk.k7927 - Yeah. I've gotten strange buns from him in the mail too. I opened it expecting pepper poppers or pizza, and I felt instant confusion.
I found a strange bun in evelyn’s trash once on the 3rd of spring in my first year! That would have been a very quick speedrun for this challenge
i got it from the saloons trash early game too!

@@MaybeRue saloon trash on the third of spring is where i got one as well! but youd still have to sleep till summer to get a grape and then all the way until spring again so it'd still be a bit lengthy (not nearly as long though)
@@frog_goblin Vincent likes dandelions as well and it can get you to 2 hearts, i'm guessing because i gave him that for his birthday and got 2 hearts even though i barley talked to him before that.
@@RexThanatosthats almost exactly how i quickly befriend caroline in spring to get tea saplings+leaves, just quick-gather forage and give whatever the highest quality of their respective foraged item is to them twice a week, talk to them any time theyre nearby, and you can unlock either of them really pretty quick, end of spring at the latest for me usually. i wonder what the fastest you could possibly befriend them would be with silver/gold quality liked gifts and chatting? but that would involve math and im doing enough of that at school, lol

It's like a 1 in 41 chance to get the strange bun from the dish of the day. So it's like a 2.5% chance of getting it on day one making this run way faster and easier. It also only cost 450 gold.
The issue would be waiting for saloon to open everyday
@@bushpiggy7079 that’s not that big of a problem you can talk to Vincent and give gifts to him while waiting. And if it’s not there then just restart until it is allowing you to probably get a sub twenty.

The shadow brutes also spawn on the monster farm, at least on summer, wso instead of mines you could always just hope for a lot of them to spawn on that farm! I got one after killing them for awhile, on summer 8th
Wouldn’t waiting until nighttime for monsters to spawn be a time loss?
I think it depends on your combat level
@@ZehraShafqat Well I think you go through the night in the mines on most days, except for the day you get the strange bun sometimes. So for world record, the mines might be better, but for a beginner speedrunner the summer farm would be a good strat!

I've played so much stardew and literally never seen the damn crop fairy. How can it tell when someone's doing a speedrun?
I got one once, it was in spring and it grew my cauliflour
Crop fairies are rare? I get one every three-year playthrough or so
@@MadameTeqi they're not that rare, like a 1% chance as long as you have crops, it's not raining, and it's not winter. But for some reason I never get it. I've have the strange capsule more often than that damn fairy.

I kinda want to try speed running this same thing, but instead of going through the mines, I try and get it from the saloon or traveling cart. I want to see the time difference. Maybe I’ll do that today.

Like, why grab grapes in Summer, missing Vincent's birthday early on, sleeping the rest of the year, only to give him a Grape? Just... Daffodile on Spring 10th. Done. =)

I think you’re supposed to pronounce the statue like you’re saying out “Frog-man” with Japanese phonetics (more commonly known as “Engrish”). Like “F(uh)rog(oo)mon”
