Thanks for the review. I am Waiting for the second batch to be released. If I had a Joey it would put my base weight under 6 lbs. In your opinion would a zpacks plexamid fit in the bottom horizontally. Also, I hope the new edition has shock cord on front for my 8 section thermarest z-lite to strap vertically. I am done with inflatibles.
Not sure about the plexamid, it might squeeze in. If the Joey doesn’t come pre shock corded for a sleeping pad, I’m sure you could just get some shock cord yourself and use the ice axe loops to lace it through. Happy Trails!
Just got one. I share your sentiment in the description. It's just too small for backpacking for me. I enjoy having plenty food and I enjoy my chair zero. That being said, it will make for a fantastic day pack.
So true! Daypack all the way. Maybe a summer overnight or cold soak weekend, but not for enjoying the outdoors with a few luxury items. Good pack for the right occasion. A bit disappointed in material for water resistance.
@@JonathanLovelace After reviewing your video again, one thing to note is that the new batch of Joey's does not have side and back stretchy mesh pockets. It's a slightly stretchy material, but not enough. It actually would encroach on the interior space because of the lack of stretch.
@@druhol6753 that’s a horrible design then. I didn’t mind the design for a long running pack, but the stretch pockets were the selling point. Not sure why anyone would buy an over expensive ozark trail Walmart bag then.
Thank you for the review! I've got one on order for a go bag.
Great for that. Hope you enjoy!
