Many employees believe that once they go to the CCMA, they will obtain maximum compensation from their employer. Employees need to remember that compensation is a remedy for your unfair dismissal - and the CCMA Commissioner links a variety of factors to this.
Factors the Commissioner will consider:

Would the maximum still be 2 months even though you have been out of employment for longer e.g. 4 years? And if reinstated is there also a maximum to back pay?
