This is my first time watching your video and it's a great one, it talked about the most challenging topic of actually proving discrimination - you certainly scored all the points. Thank you

Hello, I was very impressive with all your videos. I go injured at work, filed workers compensation, unfortunately my injury required surgery, recovery time was for 5 months. I returned to work, in less than 3 weeks I got fired, based on bad reviews, false accusations, just like you mentioned sham investigation, I have a mental disability, my former office manager knew since the first interview. I rett fired from my job based on false accusations, mental disability, etc... I live in Dallas Texas, I was working for a very large company, called Texas Health Resources, but in the department called Texas health physicians group. I got fired 2 weeks ago, I'm so upset how the office manager did not do the proper investigation of what I was accused by coworkers , or the HR department. Since I started working in the medical clinic, too many times I had gone to the manager regarding the bullying, staff making fun of my mental disability, the way I spoke, laughing at me, making fun of my accent , etc... She would just respond " I'm so sorry, is that you are a different cookie cutter and that's why they don't like you", I had requested to many times if she could move me to another area in the office, but she refused . I would like to know if you can help me out, I now you are not in Texas, I have an attorney virtual appointment this coming Monday. Please let me know if I can call you, at least for advice. I'm so hurt, specialy of all the false accusations. HR. DIDN'T WANT TO HEAR MY SIDE. I'M DESPERATE!!!

Hi Mr. Ortiz, thank you for this video. I have been experiencing discrimination for several years, specifically disparity in salary. I won jury trial and Appeal, against California state university system. My former attorney was paid approximately $1.6 million dollars and he quit. He informed me that judgement is pending.
I am a Professor of Social work at San Francisco state University. I am looking for an employment attorney as I have been subjected to a hostile workplace.

How can I prove discrimination in the hiring process? I’m qualified for every job that I’ve applied for, the employers love my resume and my voice(I have a white passing name and white passing speech patterns/voice). The moment I meet employers in person or on camera, their demeanor takes a 360 turn. I’m going to start recording my interviews but how can I prove I’ve been discriminated?

You can’t bring qualified and having a good resume doesn’t guarantee a job. Ask anyone of any race in the tech industry.

Same thing happens for me I live in Miami Florida, and I am overqualified for every position that I apply for, and I have been denied every single position if it’s via video interview or recording, but the moment that I made one change to my résumé in which I stated that I spoke Spanish, I suddenly started getting interviews. These jobs don’t notate that there is a preference for bilingual or Spanish-speaking but the moment that I put that I spoke Spanish, I started getting the interview. Of course I did not go because that is what they are obviously looking for. It’s crazy to be discriminated against America for speaking only English

It would be helpful to make a video regarding being unlawful when h.r. dept blocks, by gaslighting as being one example, a staff member from officially filing protective discrimination complaint

If HR is refusing to let you file a complaint if discrimination, I suggest documenting that in an email in a polite and professional manner. You may want to consider filing a complaint with the EEOC or (if you’re in California) the DFEH. Good luck to you.

@@OrtizLawOffice I'm from Canada. What is your advice? Same here being bullied, mobbed, gaslighting, harassed at the hospital for over 12 years. I've happened to be the top worker for 38 years and have never been suspended. These bullies are jealous and miserable people. Union, manager, HR and the police are all totally useless. Bullies are lazy bums and stupid managers are scared of the bullies. They say about me I'm crazy, I drink, I'm a stalker all bs defamation of character. The biggest mistake since they removed disciplinary measures. They should arrest the bullies and fire the manager. Action speaks louder than nasty words. It destroyed my reputation. I will never quit to make these lazy bums ever win. If I decide to transfer to another hospital and may start mobbing me once again, I don't know all the new managers etc. like in every department like now. So best to not change hospitals. I will never let bullies try to control me from quitting. Never let these low life lazy bums ever win.[

They do this to everyone! I had a workplace injury and my employer demanded I return to work to do my full duties- even though they had my medical restrictions. When I told them I could not, as I was on light duty restrictions, and told them they were not following my medical work restrictions, they threatened my job (now countless time) and accused me of insubordination- their fav term. This is a HUGE game done in the attempt to get you so emotionally damaged from the toxic workplace and harassment/targeting- that they hope you will just quit. I injured my ulnar nerve in my R hand, which is my dominant hand- anything I do with my R hand is very difficult. Typing, using the mouse all day is near impossible and extremely painful- my R hand just can't cordite my fingers to move like my L hand does now. My employer will accommodate my injury temporarily, then harass me non-stop, accusing me of poor performance, then they try to double my workload . This has been going on for 3 years now and my case is still not settled.

Do you know any NV lawyers I have many jobs that all end the same I'm excelling and somehow my multiple mental illness disorders diagnosed by over 7 certified Psychiatrists over 14 years and taken over l 39 different medications to treat but never fix my BP 2 Depression PTSDnl Anxiety and epilepsy. Then I start getting things blamed on me are always things that would be normal warnings etc or not even doing bad but now my disability or meds are why I yawned or seem tired or I'm asking for switching shifts to make my appointments or switch to take a day off If a new medication taken that day so I use my pto and it's seen as a write up because now I'm now.seen as a liability or they force information about my medical history I'm forced to share and always just taken off schedulenfornweeksnuntil they finally separate. But hoping I quit first but don't. And never give clear reason
