Nice review man! I'm super jealous as mine was supposed to be here today but Amazon shipped it late... Just an FYI the MM710 uses 20M Omrons and the MM720 uses 70M LK optical switches. Keep up the good work!
Thanks for this video. I had a Xornet back in the day and it was way too short for me. Never realized just how much longer the MM720 is. I'll probably have to pick up one when it goes on sale now.
Nice review, and channel in general 👍 It would have been nice if you also talked about changing the lighting profiles. That's actually why I wound up here lol subbed.
Thank you! When I originally edited this video, I had like 8 minutes of being in the Master Plus software, changing the lighting and other settings. Sorry I removed it because the software was just really simple and easy to use, I didn't think I needed to include it. With that being said, it is very easy to change colors and DPI settings in the software :)
I love the Xornet, it was my fav but the left click is broken, like your Spawn, pure use. I didn't found anything like that, not even old stock of the Spawn nor the Xornet 1 or 2, so I ended up buying the MasterMouse 520, that is kinda inspired on those but not quite there, it's a little bigger, it has a great sensor, it has only one extra button instead of the two DPI change, but it is programmable so no issues there. But the build quality of the MM520 is not the same as those good old ones, the grips are also not as good, and the scroll wheel is failing and just as the warranty expired this year. I'm tempted to try this one, as it's the exact same shape as the Xornet and I expect the feel of it to be good, I just want to know, it says it has 6 buttons, but there seems to not have one for the DPI change/programmable like the others, and I just see 5 buttons (Left click, Right click, Wheel click, Side Back and Side Next) and cannot find the 6th one. Is it the one at the bottom? Because that would be a shame, as I like to change the DPI on the fly. I know it can be done with combos, but that is not as intuitive as an exclusive DPI button.
Hi Alejandro. Unfortunately they did change the DPI button to be on the bottom of the mouse. So there’s no real way to cycle through the presets on the fly.
I've gone through about three or four different mice and I'm tired of "upgrading" every second year. Hoping that this MM720 will be the last one I ever need to buy, from all the talk, it definitely sounds like it will.
Love this shape, but I had to return my first one and replaced it with a second. As of this comment, they both have developed a squeak for M2 button. After less than a week! Granted, I play Starcraft, which is a lot of clicking, but I'm surprised that both of them are doing the same thing. Have you run into this issue yet? I'd like to use this mouse, but I am worried they will all end up with the annoying squeak.
I have been using it every day since I got it, but I have not had that issue yet. You should submit a ticket to Cooler Master through twitter (I found they are the most responsive on there for some reason) and see what they can do about that.
I would say that it feels pretty odd to do that with this mouse. MM711 would be better to 1-3-1 grip imo. It's a bit harder to control the 720 when the pink is on the ring finger rest and no support on the side.
i normaly play with my middlefinger on the mousewheel an my ringfinger on the mouse 2 button so my pinky would rest where the ringfinger is supposed to rest... would this be possible or uncomfortable?
This mouse is not really comfortable with the 1-3-1 grip that you described. You can try, but I find that grip is a bit hard to use with this mouse, personally.
You need to get the one that's on the masterplus.coolermaster.com/ website. The one on www.coolermaster.com/downloads/ doesn't work. Took me a while to figure out.
Im looking for a mouse with a similar shape to this but I would like it to be a bit bigger so I could palm grip it. It would be very nice if someone could recommend something.
Hey! I would recommend the MM520 but it's kind of an older model. I've tried the Razer Naga Pro and it's a really good wireless option There's also the Naga Trinity which is the wired version for a bit cheaper. Check it out: amzn.to/368PnD0 By the way that is an Amazon affiliate link -- it does not cost you anything extra at all, but it does support the channel if I referred you to it!
You can't do better if you like that mouse shape because this is the only mouse in that exact shape and more importantly, size. This is a mouse shape that only those that have used and been using for years understand, I've had 4 different ones (2 xornet ii, and 2 spawn). It's a very unique shape and after trying dozens of gaming mice over the years, this shape is by far my favorite. They are somewhat disposable because they don't last forever and the build quality isn't top-tier, but it will last a couple years without issue. Buy an extra one or ten because Cooler Master tends to retire them.
So sick dude. Thank you for convincing me to pick up this mouse. This is the best feeling mouse I've used in a long time.
YO! I am glad you like it :D
Great review, was really nice to see this mouse reviewed by a fan of its unique shape :)
this guy is underrated. Great review!
thank you!!!

That shooting test he did.... wow that is some speed

That grip style tho haha good video bro! If I had money I would buy atleast 5 MM720 so I'm set for life lol
Thank you!! I plan on doing the same over the next couple months hahaha
Stoked to get this mouse whenever it's available locally, as the shape is EXACTLY how I grip my getto g305 without cover.

No cap the lightest mouse I've ever touched. Noticeably lighter than the Razer Viper Ultimate, actually ridiculous.
No doubt! The Viper ult comes in at 74g while the 720 is 49g. Absolutely bonkers, mate!

You can fix the squeak with a it of lubricant. May need to reapply periodically though.
why i dont get the grip tape
can you 1-3-1 grip this or does it feel awkward (middle finger on scrollwheel ring finger on right button and pinky on the rest)?
