All I have is hills here in KY. My Spartan handles them like a champ. The secret is to reduce the RPMs a little which reduces the torque to the wheels. Feather the controls a little if you know you need to turn on the hill like going around a tree. The tires and the operator are the biggest factor on a zero turn on flat ground or on a hill.
Hills are common in Ky 😅 I’d like to see the mowers with tweels tires 🛞 on all 3 I believe with the flat design they would master that hill. If you can in the future do a video with tweel tires
Wouldn’t bother it a bit. Some of my garden tractors I cut with have ag tires. One has chains on it. And I’ve used my 1951 tea20 Ferguson tractor, with ag tires like your Massey Ferguson , with 6’ finish mower. Never bothered the lawn. And put the 6’ finish mower on my son’s Ford 1210 compact 4x4 tractor with all 4 tires are ag. Never bothered the lawn. 👋👋👍🏻👍🏻
Had zero turn for years and nothing can mow as fast as one. But they aren’t very safe in hilly country, and because of that I’ll stick with my newly purchased Ventrac 4520 with a 72” mower.
I must know the name of that song and where to get it. It was awesome!!! I could really use that one while I'm mowing yards. Plz let me know. Thank you. Otherwise awesome video.
I put A T V tires on my J D 425 traction was 80% better but does scratch the yard if you zero turn, wish you would have tried to back up the hill mine does now.
I would think the tires would be the biggest difference. Would be fun to swap the tires between the mowers if they fit. The added weight would make it harder to break loose at first, then harder to "catch and recover" once it did I am guessing. Either way.. looks like a lot of fun and now I want to figure out how to make hills for my lawn when the time comes!!!! 🤣
Looks like Snowmobiling to me! MN born and raised baby! don't flip that thing man, you'll fall off, break your windshield and fall off and machine rides 50' further on a lake once your dumped! Still doing my Conservative Politics Heath and Rachael. Trying to help. BSA.
Are you listening in one headphone or earbud? Sounds good on our end? We record in stereo though so sometimes one mic the one away from the action will be lower in volume.
I bought a Bad Boy Outlaw XP 61” deck new in 2016……it’s a great machine. 🫡 One thing I noticed, you appear to be running a lot faster than need be on a bumpy side slope. Every time you bounce these machines, they lose traction for the time the tires are “unloaded” from the turf. That is where the slide can begin. Another thing, once you drive thru that wet spot at the bottom, it appears you’re filling the treads up with mud. Unless y’all clean out the mud , you’re compromising the tractive qualities of the tires. Not a real good assessment of the mowers. Comparing different styles of tires, bar type, full chevron, versa turf, bad boy avenger, etc. would tell a better story. 😐
Thanks for the input, a few things I hadn’t thought of. Just out running the machines doing our best. I definitely don’t have a lot of experience mowing hills and I’m sure that came in to play!
Those mowers done pretty good job on the hill. It was interesting to see. Thanks for sharing.
I thought so too. Thanks.
My favorite mower. The Bad Boy Rogue. But all three are good mowers. Bruce in Wv!!!
Bruce, the Rogue is sweet. My buddy said he liked his exMark more at first but after a few hours the Rogue became his favorite.
@@hardworkingmanoutdoors I can agree with that. Lol. I got close to 4 acres I mow and that Rogue would flat get it done in a hurry. Lol!!!
As I've said several times I really don't need a mower where I live but that really did look like a lot of fun
This was definitely a fun day.

Thank you, we’ll definitely go run them again and gain some experience! Appreciate the tips.
Nice review. Would have loved to see a ferris and hustler on those hills as well.
Thanks, we’ll get a hold of as many brands as we can to test in different scenarios.

I’d love to test them with Tweels!
Great test. I’d say they need 45 degree bar ag tractor tires. 👍🏻👍🏻👋👋
That would definitely help hold but wouldn’t be great for the lawn.

Great video!!!
Thank you!
Good Comparison Heath! Looks like it does take some getting used to balancing between both sides. Jeff
For sure, thanks Jeff.

The Ventrac definitely tackles the hills well.
Tire pressure is the key 🗝️ here. Lower the pressure a couple pounds. The pressure expands the tire as they warm up.
I just lowered the pressure in both of mine. They were a touch high.
Cub cadet 4 wd zeroturn with steering wheel, wont slide down the hill.
That would be fun to check out.
Yes the cub cadet zero turn with the steering wheel would blow those away. Not even close.
It's all in the operator
That definitely has a lot to do with it.
I must know the name of that song and where to get it. It was awesome!!! I could really use that one while I'm mowing yards. Plz let me know. Thank you. Otherwise awesome video.
It was a song I had AI generated for the video.
😂😂
Accordinbg to Brock from RockHill Farms the best zero turn for hills and ditches is the Cub Cadet zero with the steering wheel. And he proved it....
I haven’t had a chance to run that one. Maybe one day.
@@hardworkingmanoutdoors It is a weird looking mower, but probably the best engineered in the world!
Also Mike at outdoors with the morgans.
I put A T V tires on my J D 425 traction was 80% better but does scratch the yard if you zero turn, wish you would have tried to back up the hill mine does now.
I have heard of others doing this as well.
Also the ex mark has a lower center if gravity. Just like a toro.
That can definitely play a role.
What is the name of the song towards the end
It’s a song I had created for the video with AI.
It’s not the tires it’s the low center of gravity on the Exmark.
We were talking about that after the video. Under the seat tank bs the saddle tanks.
Exmark👍
It definitely did well on the hills.
@@hardworkingmanoutdoors yes sir, the wheel and pump setup works well. Has for years.
Scag turf tiger or wright zk
Two great mowers.
Dang right ear audio killing me guy🤣😂
We record in stereo so it’s one ear for mic. We’ll try a few different ways in future videos.

It was definitely fun. Swapping tires would be interesting. I think operator experience comes in to play too and I have very little on the hills.
Exmark all the way.
Definitely did well on the hills.
Hello everyone
Hello!
👍💯
Thanks Carl!
As wet as that hill looks any it's hard for any z turn to hold.
It was definitely a tough test and a bit slick. I think under the conditions they all did great and would all get the job done.
Put a set of Michelin Tweel on any of the mowers they will stick to a hill.
We almost went with the Rebel X with the tweels. I may try them some day.
Tweels are the way to go for holding the machine on slopes.
Altoz trx
I haven’t had the opportunity to run one of them yet.
? goúd?
Awesome bruvs 🍾 🍃 👏🏼.
Thx u 🙌🏽 😤 💀 🍻 ♎️..
Thank you!
Yo who singing this song
It was ai generated. We just give it the concept and it spits it out.
If that Bad Boy has Reapers on it, the hills will be a problem.
I believe they are the reapers.

I never felt close to flipping, it was fun though.
Still no shirt
They don’t have them at the Houghton Lake store yet? Or did they say they’d ship you one? Shoot me an email hardworkingmanoutdoors@gmail.com
hands down i believe cub cadets do 100 times better. My cub cadet 50" rtz don't slide
I haven’t had the opportunity to run one.
Can barley hear you
