    Your backstory is incredibly inspiring, and I’m truly grateful to have discovered your channel when you were just starting out. Watching both you and your channel grow over time has been an amazing journey, and I’m honored to now be a member of your community.
    I’m currently on the path to becoming an underwater welder and am getting closer to the point of starting school for it. Hearing about your diving experiences has given me a lot to think about and has helped me consider important aspects of this career that I hadn’t fully explored before. While I’m still committed to pursuing this path, your insights have provided valuable perspective that I’ll carry with me as I move forward. Thank you for sharing your journey-it’s made a real impact on mine.

      Thanks for the comment!
      Commercial diving would be a really cool career path. I've heard some really cool stories talking to our local Army Corps of Engineers who brought their gear into the shop for service.
      I'm glad I decided to take a step back from diving while I wasn't in the right headspace. It's definitely given me time to think about things more clearly and I think that when I do decide to get back in a cave again, I'll be doing it with a much better perspective and mindset.
      That's the other thing too... quitting doesn't have to be forever. I'm always open to try things again, it's just sometimes not the right time so I've learned to be flexible and adaptable.
      Such is life...
      Best of luck with commercial dive school!

    Sound wisdom! I have learned so much in my 65 years of life and the thing that I rely on the most is my gut instinct. My intuition has never let me down, it has helped me make tough decisions that for the most part work out favorably. Trust your inner voice for it knows the right path......

    Thanks for sharing your story man! It’s honestly something to be really proud of. Both being able to realize something could potentially be bad for you and wanting to avoid that risk, and for not wanting to quit. I wish I could say the same. I played basically every basic sport at least once in my life but haven’t stuck with any of them. I never quit halfway through the season, though that was mostly out of obligation and respect for my team and coaches. The only thing that I have stuck with has been shooting trap at my local shotgun club, but that isn’t very competitive and most of us go there to shoot the breeze and bs. I hope that I find the motivation to get competitive with either that or racing dirt bikes when I get one. God bless and stay safe, man!

      Also, need a second opinion about a bike, or rather the idea of the specific bike. I 100% know I'm all over the place with what I want haha. There's a listing for a 250L for about $1,200; that's two to eight hundred less than most of the other, non dual sports that I'm looking at (two '01 Yz 250s, one's a two stroke and the other a four stroke, a '01 Yz 125 like you have but with some sick mostly white and some blue plastics, a '05 CRF 230F, and a '98 CR125). Technically, for offroading, the 250L is a downgrade about equivalent to the amount of cost reduction from all of those. However, I'm also not currently in a position to be getting my own car AND a dirt bike. I just feel like, at this stage in my life, a dual sport is perfect for me. I could get myself to work and to places I want to be without really having to worry about asking for a ride or car to borrow, and I can go hit some single track whenever I want to without having to worry about loading and unloading (I'd have a disadvantage at the harescrambles I want to go to, but I'd at least have my foot in the door). So like I said, not really looking for advice on the bike and instead wondering what you think about the street riding portion for someone in my situation. And I'm asking you because you don't have the same mindset for street riding as I do, as you show in the video, but also isn't on the extreme end like my mom is haha (very protective of her only boy she is lol, and understandably so)

    this new camera angle on the bike is great, can see really well all the movements of the bike

    • @notsoupmoto
      @notsoupmoto  2 วันที่ผ่านมา

      glad to hear! I switched to an insta360 x4 from the gopro. the 360 footage is so nice to be able to fine tune the angle and fov in post.
      the first part of the video I had the camera mounted on my chin and the second part it was chest mounted. did you prefer one over the other?

    • @MyopicFox
      @MyopicFox 2 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @notsoupmoto I think the chest mount was better, got a really good look at the bike and could see the back being thrown around. When you hit the jump I could see how far you were throwing it out which you don't normally get from helmet mounted cams

    • @notsoupmoto
      @notsoupmoto  2 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @ thanks for the feedback! I definitely agree with that. Was a bit skeptical of the chest mount at first since every GoPro chest mount video I see looks god awful and nauseating haha but I think the 360 camera really fixes all the normal issues w the chest mount

    Appreciate the calm thought provoking video man. I ride dirt bikes and a street motorcycle. Dirt bikes are way more fun and exciting. I do love riding my street bike as well, but i ride very conservatively, and with the idea that everything is out to kill me. Survival, as well as the feel of the machine and the road, is where I find my joy with it; and in that order. I often consider giving it up though, and just staying on the dirt.

    Interesting story. Just curious, why did you quit your job at the scuba place, and scuba diving in general because of the risks of cave-diving? From what I hear from others, scuba diving is safe when you're not going into caves.

    • @notsoupmoto
      @notsoupmoto  2 วันที่ผ่านมา

      The job was more of just me being ready for a change/pivot. I had been there for a while and was just feeling ready to change things up. And I'm not totally done with diving altogether. I haven't been in the water for quite a while just because I've been busy with other stuff but yeah normal scuba diving is super chill and I definitely would love to get back in the water at some point soon!

    Dude are you monetized? Because I am struggling with getting enough watch hours on my gaming channel can you tell me how you got enough watch hours if you did bc I stream all the time most of the time I get 5 viewers the whole stream you should do a giveaway at 5k like giveaway a new set of foot pegs or something cheap like that

    • @notsoupmoto
      @notsoupmoto  ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา

      Yep this channel is monetized. The watch hours are definitely a struggle but I’d recommend making videos that give your audience value. Either teaching something, explaining something, or telling a story… there are many other ideas but try to think of your target audience and what value you could offer them.
      If you upload videos that offer value, people tend to watch them longer
