Great documentary, very well done, and thorough. Just one comment...I'm sorry, but "nothing to do here after the TT is over"! Are you kidding me? Right, I am from the US, and I have been to the island many times since 2012, my first TT. I have since marshaled the TT and the Manx Grand Prix. There is loads to do on the Island year 'round. First off, there are still the Southern 100 and Festival of Motorcycles races which include the Manx GP with the Classic TT races. The footpaths are everywhere, the Glens are astounding, and the Manx Museum and House of Manannan are world class cultural museums, you could go on and on about the things to do there year round. The Road Rally Championship Races, Gaelic Culture Festival, just doing a pub crawl through the unique and welcoming pubs, visiting the Jurby Motorcycle Museum. The Island, the Manx people, and the culture/history sites make this a magical place to visit all year 'round...not to mention Loaghtan Lamb Shanks and Manx Kippers!
We are hoping to relocate there in October , November this year. I have only read and seen how beautiful the Island is. As you say Christopher, the Isle has so much to offer and is truly Magical and we are not even there yet. I have checked out the fishing, the everything.... and we will be busy just looking at the sights for a long time. Thanks for your post.
Wrong. I have been to the IOM loads of times during the "non race" periods. I am in love with your historical sites, amazing glen's and footpaths, everything going on the Island. I stay for months at times, and never get bored.
Try digging deeper down the rabbit hole of TH-cams....may find that less is indeed more...unless a Das Audi Auto window (tinted) licking uber kool (with a"K") hip trendy volk (with a "V") fan type....It's ok-ish maybe a 7.5 ...for me The Team from Chorley FM Sports bagged "IT" better with .......ISLE OF MAN TT SHOCK OUR FIRST TIME......louder you scream, the faster they ride....."SHABBA"
Fantastic! Loved the interviews, the people of the Man and the music was outstanding! Smiles and tears. Wish my dad was alive to go with me when I finally get there.
Fantastic documentary, about the Isle of Man TT races, filmed in 2015. The passion, the beauty of the Island, the riders, the spectators, "the whole shebang" A story told by the People! All filmed and edited in a charming manner! Would easily stand as quality TV program. Superb. Share! Al, Stafford.
An inspiring, stunning, jaw-dropping, beautiful and moving film. A truly astonishing and insightful achievement that conveys the special nature and qualities of the race and those who take part as riders, supporters, officials, residents and spectators. A fitting tribute to the TT races and the Isle of Man. Pieter, Woodbridge, Suffolk.
Can't praise you enough here for what you have presented for us all to enjoy, very, very well done, you've certainly captured the essence of the TT,and so much better than some documentary's you see on telly
An awesome, artful tribute to the last true gladiator event on earth. The narrator put it in stark terms at the outset: " it really shouldn't be allowed. I hope it lasts forever." theos ek mechanes.
It really isn't the last, what about the racing in Northern Ireland, the Ulster GP ,etc, They are all held on narrow public roads, but they don't seem to get the publicity that the TT gets.
Simply amazing.... thank you.... always wanted to go to the TT, put off recently by the over-priced and over-subscribed travelling and accommodation, but what the hell, get the bike on a ferry, take a tent... sorted
Magic!! great edit and thanks for sharing it. I was in Glen Helen when John won that and it was electric.Still gives me bumps now remembering it. What a guy he is. RIP Andy Lawson.
I only watched for 5 minutes and it brought a smile to my face. Just wanted you to know before I finished. Isle of Man TT is on my Bucket List. Times' running out.
What an incredible film! So, so well produced and capturing the heart of the TT to perfection. LOVE IT. Did any of the main TV channels ever show this?? And if not, WHY not?? Fabulous. Just fabulous...
Great film! Content, visuals and sound all amazing. I have been to the Isle of Man and the TT twice, and what you have put together has brought back some great memories, and it has given me a new perspective of the race and the people who make it happen. Well done.
This is an awesome vid. No ifs and buts..... If anyone has any interest in motorcycling, this is a must see. In the words of Molly Meldrum, " Do ya self a favour and see this" Njoy. 👏👏👏
I went in 2014, from NZ - stayed at the Douglas rugby club. The whole time I was there I felt charged, and it's not just the bikes - you can feel the earth breathe, there's a pulse to the place. Also loved your T - I've owned 5 Guzzi's in my time - V65, T, T3 and 2 G5's - one of the G5 was the Libyan embassy diplomatic escort bike. After PC Fletcher was shot and killed in '84 and Thatcher shut down the embassy I was in London and bought the bike from vecchia in Colliers wood. Still thumping its way round NZ.
Fantastic job....Ive watched this video heaps of times and always come back to it...You guys are putting Duke to shame with this..I last went to the TT in 1996 before emigrating to Australia and hope to take my dad there soon for his first TT..Thanks heaps for the work..
Basically u have to be spot on the entire time...no room for mistakes....a racetrack u have a room 100percent of lap...some track a couple place u dint want to crash at man...there is no place u cant make mistakes...like riding a dirtbike 75 mph around large full grown trees all day near a lot of cliffs...
People standing at the edge of a long country road...will feel an see closer to racing..at 200 most race tracks have 50 to 70 perimeter distance back fir spectators...plus the length of time an distance at 170 n 200 mph is 10 ten times that of a large race track in the 3.5 miles length..this is 38 miles per lap..many sections that give a superbike engine enuf ground to get up to its max speed
These guys are crazyyyy I used to want to do this race, then I got in a wreck on my s1000rr that took my life for a couple minutes, and by the grace of god, I was revived! I still ride currently on a 2024 s1000rr, but the wreck and having kids changed me. Now I get nervous at 120mph+ unless I'm on a track or open highway.
I talk about the locals whove raced it for a while....but i still have crazy mad respect when they go thru those shaded tree areas at 200 or close 5 th wide open i know the go pro makes it a little distorted...tunnel vision...but its still impressive on a race tracks that feeling going thru a close surroundings doesnt exist at all...giving the TT its individualism.... got motorcycle friends want to quiet them up tell them u bought a 600R so u could race isle of man...ull get silence
Will you please make 'The People's Race 2 ' if its ever possible, this really was a pleasure to watch, and so informative, great to see such enthusiastic fans who make it so atmospheric.
It's like watching a broken record over an over. When someone has something to say you'd like to hear forget it cause the damn techno music is so fuckin loud you can't hear shit else!
For those who havent raced or ridden a race bike...sport bike or moto gp bike...the bike is extremely stable the faster it goes the more stable it goes getting it to change it mind an making it go thru a turn at 200 mph 170....150 is the trick to the art...the bike goes in a straight line by itself...turning it is a science....at high speeds today bikes have all gotten really good at turning....or turning in meaning the effort is not as much forced but the bikes are not as stable in the corner as they were..they have become more nimble....each brand has its own science of frame geometry giving each a unique turn in an turn style....street riders may prefer the more stable kawasakis racer may opt for the precision turning of a honda...yamaha has its own way...suzuki its own way...
i can make it properly sometime... just made it for this doc... follow DropVelvetMusic th-cam.com/channels/a2Jj89wxM4KTMF-gW2Kf7g.html. I'll put that track high on the list for releasing properly.
Its nice yes though who have been a 100 or race at 150...i firget most folks have been 55 or 60mph...an my be germans have been to the limit on their autobahn...the one reason i wished i lived in germany
The guy at 32:34 no one on motorcycle complains when they die they’re dead and anyone who knows or loves that person knows they died doing what they lovd
Well Higgins drive a Subaru Impreza round faster than most of the bikes so... yeh an F1 car would smash the times. All down to cornering faster, downforce my darling. Simple physics 🤷🏼♂️👏

It is an incredible place to visit even when the TT isn't on.

Not to mention the heavenly Queenies, and Manx Beef and Cheddar.
Top class job men. Super documentary!!!!
Awesome video! I even got a little emotional when McGuiness won and all those people were cheering for him. ✌️
Got to be the best independent documentaries on the TT. Very well done and excellent sound tracks. Top stuff.

Lovely documentary. Music choice is perfect. This one will be watched a few times.
nice one! glad you like it. I'm in the process of re-cutting a shorter version.
Simply amazing.... thank you.... always wanted to go to the TT, put off recently by the over-priced and over-subscribed travelling and accommodation, but what the hell, get the bike on a ferry, take a tent... sorted

[Well done, That was a great production.]
FANTASTICO NO MORE TO BE SAID "LIFE AT IT'S BEST"
Really excellent and well edited. My one and only criticism is that the soundtrack is too loud making it difficult to hear the dialogue.
Really enjoyed this film. Great job. Someday i will make the trip...
The People's Race, there is no better name
Nice editing.
Me gusta mucho el circuito 😃
Watched this for the second time! Again, well done gentlemen
Excellent
Great job

Great video
That John McGuiness is the man.,.. And a bit of a clown. Lol. Love the guy.
The marshall at hillberry really thinks he’s something 😂
Good title...Tourist Trophy....all these year i would have never guessed that....timed trials seemed most logical...
The t t certainly puts the Isle of Man on the map........
The kids in de sidecar in the beginning of the VID 😊
they're too good! :)
Isle of man is among the few things that even the gods witness the sport with awww
TT is the only true warrior sport left.
*road racing - the IOMTT is just one of a whole load of road races. Check out the NW200, Ulster GP, Southern 100, Cookstown 100 etc
Great documentary but get rid of the damn music
Except for soldiers in combat, these guys are the bravest in the world. And, unlike the soldiers, they don't HAVE to do it!
For the most part soldiers choose to sign up, so they don't HAVE to do it either
It's like watching a broken record over an over. When someone has something to say you'd like to hear forget it cause the damn techno music is so fuckin loud you can't hear shit else!

Gods country 🏁🏁🏁
Didn’t care for the music, too loud and overshadowed the film and subject. Had to strain to follow the conversations at times.
Alright negative Norman
32:28 "They complain when they kill them selves?" 🤔🤔 He's lost me there 🤪 Tescos for life, that guy!!
Oh my day's. Put your hay ball up.... I love an iron horse
Great.Apart from the guy with the Triumph t shirt. What a nause.
Moto GP is a 10. The TT is a 11
zxrrsteve1 more like a 111
DRUM AND BSS SONG THAT STARTS AT 1:06:14 ANYONE?
i can make it properly sometime... just made it for this doc... follow DropVelvetMusic th-cam.com/channels/a2Jj89wxM4KTMF-gW2Kf7g.html. I'll put that track high on the list for releasing properly.
John "the Don" McGinness is a fucking legend!
*McGuinness - and his nickname is 'The Morecambe Missile'
Its nice yes though who have been a 100 or race at 150...i firget most folks have been 55 or 60mph...an my be germans have been to the limit on their autobahn...the one reason i wished i lived in germany
Too much editing and effects
Men with balls the size of water melons exist, they race in the TT.
See i made a good guess 10 seconds of spacing hand on the shoulder..it lets go an u do....
The guy at 32:34 no one on motorcycle complains when they die they’re dead and anyone who knows or loves that person knows they died doing what they lovd
MOTO GUCCI. Dats italian no
If they had a 100cc class, I'd maybe give it a go, lol. Top speed, maybe 60mph.
Great documentary apart from the man in the Santa Cruz t shirt with the most boring voice ever !
真恐怖
Deli Clerk can move off the island. Who complains after they kill themselves while doing something they love? Just jealous he can't ride a bike.
Yet again a great film spoilt by constant non descriptive background repetative noise- stopped watching after 10 mins
Wtf
Weed is Genesis 9:3(N.I.V.)Jesus is Lord
ADS ADS ADS !!!!
motorsport is dangerous .
An F1 car would destroy these bikes lap times
Well Higgins drive a Subaru Impreza round faster than most of the bikes so... yeh an F1 car would smash the times. All down to cornering faster, downforce my darling. Simple physics 🤷🏼♂️👏

Indeed. So an F1 car is so much faster. It’s very simple my dear.
It’d be smashed into Fckin pieces at the bottom of bray hill ya Fckin bellend 😂😂 ffs🤦🏻♂️ some Fckin dickheads in this world 😂
