- The official video for "Ropes" by In Flames. "Ropes" comes from the album "Sounds of a Playground Fading" released on Century Media Records.
About the video: In Flames started the project "Making of Ropes" in the beginning of 2013. The idea was to let fans, worldwide, contribute with video clips of anything related to In Flames, such as Live Footage, Home Videos, Tribute bands, Guitar/Vocal/Bass/Drum videos, or simply fans showing their love for the greatest metal band in the world, In Flames.
The project received massive respons worldwide, since this is one of the few 100% fan made videos out there.
- "We do believe in crowd sourcing and giving our fans the same love and support that they show us on a daily basis. This is our way of taking the fans one step closer to us."
- IN FLAMES, May 30th 2013, Gothenburg, Sweden.
The video was made entirely by In Flames fans worldwide. The video is edited by Erik Engstrand.

Been listening to this band for as long as I can remember... All I can say is that they really have evolved in their musical talent
Let's imagine a situation where In Flames continued with their "original" style, songs sounding like the old ones. People would say "every In Flames song sounds the same". Now their songs have different styles and people says "I don't In Flames because their music is so different". What can we say? You simply cannot please everyone. It is hard to be a musician.

I really like the Eyes Wide Open scenes, they are really good band and with In Flames...oh that would be a better than the best dream to hear it...
I like the intro riff a lot but I just wish that In Flames had less TRL-sounding verses and pre-choruses in their modern work. I wish the songs were more consistently metal. Oh well, everyone has their preferences and I can understand why someone would like this.

They've been my favourite band for 11 years man, love almost everything they have done, but I really dislike this album. Not because I think its bad, just because it failed to reach all expectations. I quite liked a sense of purpose, it was a huge style change but it worked for them, they maintained their sound. Come Clarity was a big change from soundtrack and it worked too...they have been evolving, and for the most part for the better, but this album feels like a step in the wrong direction

They wanted it to seem like everyone was involved. The fans are the focus of the video. And half the time the footage isn't bad. The amount it's been 're uploaded has made it slightly lower quality each time they had to do it, plus their editing was a little off on a lot of the videos so if anyone's to blame it's the video editor and their timing on this video. Overall I liked the concept and love the song and whole album and IM FLAMES WE TRUST
actualy this isn't first crow sourced video from north. I know that for sure befor In Flames my other favorite band , Machinae Supremacy made crowd sourced video to Rise of Digital Nation. Still idea is awesome. In Flames we trust \m/

This song has been on repeat on my headphones the last 6 workouts. Have tried to turn the repeat button off....works for 2 songs and then I switch over to this song again.

This is why I love this band so much. The put out a music video with almost no footage of themselves and just a bunch of kids who love heavy metal. They love their fans more than any other band. In flames we trust!
