Whether or not the video makes sense with the song, You have to admire how much thought and effort was actually put into the video.
The solo is sick
Quite honestly, I like this song and have great respect and love for both the old and new In Flames. I grew up listening to In Flames as a 90's kid and somehow their evolution just hasn't bothered me. I think it has to do with a person's perspective and none is going to have the same. We shouldn't rip on each other for our difference in opinions. Rather should accept the fact and move on.
The first song I heard from In Flames was The Quiet Place somewhere around 2007, but then I quickly found a bunch of their other songs. Some were newer, but also found some of the older songs. I never had a problem with them changing their style. I would say I lean just slightly to their older material, mostly because those melodies and riffs are some of the best, but I also love the new stuff just as much. Probably because I listen to a whole bunch of music genres so them sounding different doesn't bother me.
The change in sound is also good for me because sometimes I feel like listening to Lunar Strain stuff while other times I'm in the mood for something from Battles or whatever. There's a lot to choose from for me. Plus, their new songs from the upcoming album sound a bit closer to the older style, sound nice and heavy.

i really appreciate in flames on making every album not to sound like the last one. i love how creative they are with their catchy melodies and nice melodic guitars and nice bass grooves and hard hitting drums .I'm not going to compare album's but i love this one if i want to listen to their old stuff ill go and pop in a old album but i love new stuff it's exciting to hear and especially hearing them live i already saw them twice ! looking forward to seeing them again live

I have been a fan since I first purchased Colony in 1999 and then collected everything else that I could find from the band. They certainly put out some of my favorite music from that decade. I was let down by the post Clayman direction however I have still enjoyed in flames live since and I really like this song. I will keep checking in with In Flames but I also greatly look forward to new music from Jesper Strömblad and Peter Iwers!

There is too much hate for this band. Just because they want to change doesn't mean you have to listen to it. The old albums still exist, listen to them!
even if it is difficult and incongruous to love In Flames today because we expect a new Take This Life I remain stoic and faithful, they advance regenerate and reach the goal. It is the soul of the artist who moves therefore respect

Dis h8 is stronk.. I can see why some is upset about where they're going. But it doesn't make the song worse. I sure haven't been listening on all IF songs, since Come Clarity is one of my favorites from them but i really like this one aswell.
I prefer old In Flames, but I really haven't minded their new stuff, and actually really enjoyed their last album Siren Charms. Sure it's not what I want, or expect from them, but I have enjoyed the music for what it is. I enjoy a lot of genres of metal/rock and this isn't that bad. I think you hear a lot of criticism because In Flames were much heavier and one of the pioneers of Melodic Death Metal. Now they are hard rock/alt rock, or whatever you want to categorize them as. It's clear they are changing directions, which is fine. I have enjoyed many bands who have steered away from their original sound. After my first listen of this song I didn't care for it, but gave it a few more listens and I am actually enjoying it.
I was huge fan from small ukrainian town from the end of 90th and this band was my main road in that life. yes, albums that I'm listening were piratic, except one, clayman on cassette. it was 2000s and we living like we may. now I have reroute to remain, come clarity and colony in the car, to listening all the time. but now I understood that became really old while listening this album I didn't find any good composition. I bought this disk the first and listen to the 5 times and no song were marked as good. i tried one month later, and no change. I heard only piece of pop metal, that became in flames. I was always for changing, life not stands at one place, but that moment has come and I realize that in flame are not the cake. they became as some piece of strange thing, people called nu metal. I've drinked few weeks through with no wish to believe that my favorite band became a weak parody on themselves. just kick me that I'm sleeping. it's not so quick decision, almost year has gone, only bjorn left from originals and I'm sad, that my life will never be the same. just remember previous albums and listen to them in free time but Battles it's less then IF level.

I used to listen to these guys before they decided to sound like a mix between Korn and Håkan Hellström... In a way I can understand the change. I would never last myself if I had to to growl on every song.

Alben,welches ich von In Flames gehört habe! Habe mir Das Digipack bei EMP gekauft und bin voll begeistert.
Was mir nicht so gefällt ist das Video zu The End...glaube,bin nicht der einzige! "SIren Charms" musste ich auch mehrmals hören um gefallen dran zu finden,da erst "für mich,beim 1. mal hören" In Flames erst beim 6. Song auftauchten!
I love old school In Flames, and the new songs as well! Sure it's different, but it's still awesome, at least to me it is. I listen to all their albums and even though I would say I like their old songs just the tiniest bit more, I still enjoy the new songs too!
Also, I don't know what it is, but this song makes me feel a little emotional. If a song can do that to someone, then it must mean they did something right! Or am I alone on this one?

What does In Flames want to achieve? I'm fine with "Siren charms" it's a great album, although I had to hear it 3 or 4 times to get used to the softer sound, but this song sounds like it was made for the radio program, so that mom dad and the little fellow can listen to some in flames... oh man in which direction are we drifting away now??

In Flames is too brutal a name for them now. Maybe In Lighters or In Embers would be more fitting.
