I had an hour to remove the torsion bar and start clearing some more underseal for the chassis of my old Morris Minor to start seeing how far the rust goes.
You'd have been better knockin that half wish bone back down the spline to expose the cup bolt. It'll stay on the splines tho. Then the whole torsion bar will drop away from that anchor bolt you're trying to pry out.
You are right. Annoying it literally popped off just after I stopped filming so no harm done. The threads were fine. I get another go on the other side to get it right 🫣

My advice is that your first choice should be to work with what you have to hand. The car, your tools, your shed your noggin.
