If I had a workshop I’d attack the whole car chassis & all the rust holes! In the past I have totally repaired a panel van, two well sides Morris 1000 & turned them into flat decks as the costs of replacing the rusted away panels were beyond what I was prepared to pay. I’ve rebuilt two cars from top to bottom. One car I had the engine rebored & replace the send & reverse idler bearing in the gearbox to stop it jumping out of second gear! Rather than using steel panel steel sheeting I used sink panel steel as it wasn’t prone to rust while your working on other panel parts! The whole car I fisholealened the whole car in side all the chassis tubing. Sure it smelled for some time but it stopped any further rusting! Keep going & you will have a good reliable little car once finished!
I was really downhearted when i found the rust but we have to just keep plodding on, she will be great once she's finally finished. thank you for the kind comment.
Fella, stick a Cossie/millington/burton lump in it, then it becomes well worth your time and effort, fella. Or, at least a zetec. I'm was qualified in welding, a few years ago. I can do mig and Tig, but you gotta bring it here, to sunny Hampshire....
There is nothing wrong with your work or welding , as some parts are not avaiable such as patches for all areas of rust that affect morris minors. Be carefull on chassis as they are structural load bearing areas., really make sure that the metal in these areas are upto the job. many pepole patch (cover rust and dirt) only for it to rust through and inside chassis, oil inside chassis as water tends to sit i use cooking veg oil as it evaporates it provides a thin gooey film that arrests rust. (poor mans waxoil) Another seroius rust point that can make or break the restoration of the car is rear spring hangers, these areas along the mounts are another weak spot. its hard work but your saving a british car, and its a part of our history parts are cheap.
Keep up the good work !
Another moggy being saved
Love it !!!
Best wishes
Tim 😊👍
Thank you Tim, it will get there, Thank you for the comments its great motivation

Thanks Trev, I have seen some nice zetec conversions of these but they arn't for me, its like cross contamination! Cheers Buddy
