that was the furst year I started windsurfing...Im 60 now...havent crossed over to anything else. Being directieally on the water and swells is all the feel good i need...lol... Cheers.
I have found some potential ways to process this video so that the quality is better, but it will take some time to do. I have also purchased another VCR, and I will see if the picture is more stable or not when I get the VCR.
Damn I wish I had been born a little earlier. I'm 38 and have been in Portland since 2003. I have seen some windsurfers, but there is not a big windsurfing scene here anylonger like shown here. It's a sad shame. The bowling alleys and skate rinks have been torn down, there's less and less people out enjoying life. Everyone's overworked, poor, and unhealthy.
Interesting. I was in Hood River a few years ago (2019) and there were TONS of windsurfers and kiteboarders. I imagine these days there are a lot of wing foilers as that sports has exploded recently. And during said trip, we stayed in Portland a few nights did meet lots of kiteboarders, so it seems to me wind sports (even if not specifically "windsurfing") seems alive and well, unless things really changed post pandemic.
lovely vid. I remember that was some document/ video on some sport channel which present windsurfing on Columbia river , does anyone know the title or has link? I had it on vhs years ago ....
Love this video! I’m in Baja now, but love windsurfing the Gorge too! Sixty and still stoked on windsurfing 😎🇲🇽
I still have this in VHS but nothing to play it on. Thanks for uploading.
