The Columbia River Gorge is a canyon of the Columbia River in the Pacific Northwest of the United States. Up to 4,000 feet (1,200m) deep, the Cascade Range, forming the boundary between the state of Washington to the north and Oregon to the south. Estending with the Deschutes River ( and the towns of Roosevelt, Washington, and Arligton, Oregon) in the Portland metropolitan area, the water gap furnishes the only navigable route through the Cascades and the only water connetion between the Country Plateau and the Pacific Ocean It is thuts that the routes of Interestate 84, U.S. Route 30, Washington State Route 14, and railroad tracks on both run through the gorge. This gorge is a popular recreational destination and is federally protected as the Columbia River Gorge National Scenic Area.Very nice photos, very nice video , thank you for the tour.

Holaaa Me gusto su video y explicaciones. Queria saber. Hicieron el recorrido en marzo? Pues veo que fueron en pantalones cortos y camiseta. Como estaba la temperatura ? Soy del caribe☺️
I think we went in March, we had some great weather but I think you should plan to bring layers like a light jacket and pants. If it rains it can get quite chilly. Thank you for watching!!! Enjoy your trip.
I'm curious what month this was taken. I heard the best time to see the waterfalls is in the spring but I wonder if that means if we go in fall if they will be dried up.
This time of year it’s beautiful there. I’m originally from Idaho & spent some summertime on the coast. But I do remember visiting in the fall & winter & dealing w all that rain. ☔️ Thank you for watching 🙏

very nice.
Hey I'm your new sub 😍
Which month was this great trip?
Hi, thanks so much for this helpful video. Is it possible to do all the hikes you mentioned and a lavender field visit in a day with a packed lunch??
Hi Pennie,
It will be a long day and you’ll need to get started early but, yes, it should be possible to do at least 3-4 in the day.
@@scottsdaletravelchick thank you!
Did the lavender field smell good? I'm so curious! Lol
Which month is the lavender field available for picking?
I'm trying to remember, I think we went in the summertime, just be aware that bees like lavender too 😀
Hi, is fruit loop drive paper of the Columbia river gorge drive?
You missed the life size Stonehenge near Biggs:) If you never make it to England you should check this WW1 memorial
Is it possible you think with a packed lunch to do all the hikes in a day?
We tried to cover all of this in 1 day but can be too much. I would break it up into 2 days so that you can enjoy the hiking more rather than rushing

You have to have a permit in the summer months to drive that road now. Too many people ruined it for us 'locals'.
If I move there do I now become a "local"
Exactly

We were there at the end of June, if I was going to go again I would do late spring into summer to get the most out of the falls.
❤
Thumbs down for encouraging people to sneak around barriers.
God's country.
