I want to know the requirements needed to join U of A
Transferred 1st year B.Com student here from U of Calgary to U of Alberta. Studied second year over there and It was the worst thing I ever did. U of A profs teaching were dry, never response to my emails, my courses/subjects were scattered in different buildings that it takes more than 10 mins to travel. I usually go to Cameron library study but when the mid and final exam comes, all if not most of the students studies over there that it’s hard to find some spot to sit and study. The awful part about U of Alberta’s BCom according to my fellow BCom students were getting accepted as they had to go to other faculties and complete the Admission requirements with a competitive GPA. Some of them spent a year and a half in Bachelor of Arts before they got accepted. They were envious to learn I was BCom student since Day 1 at U of Calgary. I’m coming back to U of Calgary’s BCom because Calgary feels more home to me than Edmonton, and the profs were helpful at U of Calgary more.

That to get admission in u of Alberta do we need to do the first year of bcom somewhere else to get admission there.🤗
I have heard so many people saying that u of a is an unfriendly, lonely place . The professors there are racist ( not that they show until drunk ) and as an international student there it is really hard not to feel lonely . I just want to know your thoughts on this.
Honestly, U of A is a proof that ranking doesn't make a University good. Few of my friends study there for undergrad and they say that it's not what people say it is.

I think uofa and ubc as very close to each other in other while ubc is usually 3rd in the ranking and much more expensive than uofa while uofa is 4th in Canada's ranking and almost half as pricey as uofa.... I'd say if u wanna do engineering go to uofa it has a better coop programme as well, else ubc is slightly better than uofa
