Hey i have a doubt about course selection, do I have to select the courses from “common course requirements” for Bsc if I am taking Honours computer science - software practice ? and during the course selection from bear track do we register each semester or once for all the 4 years ?

My son is planning to apply but confused about the first and second choice. Is Augustana Campus CS the same as North Campus CS? Is there any difference?
No, Augustana campus is different than North Campus. North Campus is the main campus. CS Honors is more competitive in my opinion - but it depends on your expectations from the degree. I cannot really comment on the competitive averages.

That's an interesting question! As an international student, I would look at the budget. I would have chosen UBC if I got enough scholarships, as UBC is a very expensive school. After all those considerations, if there is not a big cost difference in tuition and living, I would go for UBC.

The rankings are updated for each year, and the order keeps changing for these universities. In my opinion, UofT & UBC's ranking has been constant from the past 3-4 years that I have been observing. It also comes down to which program you are looking at.

Hi Seerat! It's okay to be confused; you can't technically decide on something you have no idea of. But, there's no rush; so many students declare their minor after the first year because then they have a fair idea of what they actually want to do. People do take CS and Psychology. It's a good combination. As per the work sector, in the end, your skills matter, not what you took as your minor (in my opinion). For instance, you could take CS with stats/maths because it goes perfectly well. But, you could take CS with a minor in French (a scenario) because of your interests or if you want to work in French-speaking cities. If I were in your place and confused about what to take my minor, I would just take BSc General in CS and later declare my minor (in 2nd/3rd year).
What if i had declared Bsc Computing science general while i got offer letter and now while choosing my courses can I change it to bsc specialisation in computing science ?
@@seeratsamra759 Basically. The core course requirements for the first year in general and specialization are the same. CMPUT 174 175 and two math courses and Stat151. And I strongly recommend you take CMPUT 272 in the first year. Cuz it is prerequisite course for lots of 200level CMPUT course. If you decide to transfer from general to specialization in the second year. It’s unnecessary to take courses with science lab which is general needed. Hope you have an amazing first year

@@dushi2350 are you 12th passed? If yes then ielts isn't required for 75%+ , but if you'll pass this year then ielts 'd be needed but u can submit ur ielts score later ,even after the application deadline (1 march).

2500$ are renewable as long as I get a minimum 3.0 gpa every academic year. 13000$ were only for the first year.
