I dont know about best self taught mechanic in the uk only because what i seen my friends do 20 years ago without lifts and all the other gear. But definitely is one of the best youtubers around and certainly the best in the uk. Really enjoy his videos and him and his whole team are a great watch

They treat every car as sacred and loyal customers as valued under the condition that customers treat the cars as perfect from the factory. New buyers can't buy new Ferrari's. You have to prove your loyalty.

Mats channel is certainly one worth watching, my only gripe with what Sam was saying was how he said Mat was a perfectionist and that he is meticulous over panel gaps and making sure the parts he uses are from that particular car or year. If you watch mats channel you'll know yes mat is great at what he does but he's far from perfect just watch his latest Aston martin build he bodged the roof and didn't even repair the rear quarter correctly just hid the damage under a piece of trim he's also done lots of wraps on cars rather than have them painted to hide different colour panels. Something a perfectionist just wouldn't do and certainly on cars like he is repairing, oh don't get me started on the tiger seal he's been using to attach parts he even takes the piss and calls it Mansory glue 🤣 *no hate towards mat, just don't blow smoke up a guys behind and lie is my only problem*
