Hello Mr. Rogers, I recently lost both my fighting reels, they were stolen as a matter of fact. This is really out of character but I ha e recently gotten back into fishing as a type of therapy and recovery for me and have absolutely falling back in love him it. So loosing both my set ups that I had been working really hard to put together with limit funds has been an absolute gut punch. I can't replace my set up, to even get back to fishing this year. Is there any way you would be willing tohelp me out, and point me in the right direction? Thank you for your time, and Gid bless you either way.
Steve tour videos are so informative. You have such a great camera presence and easy to listen to and understand voice. Keep up the great work. By far the best fishing content producer on TH-cam.
Steve has a lot of good info on all of his videos. I have been at this for 3 decades some of this I had forgot some I did not know at all. Has something for everybody. Appreciate the videos Steve!
Steve, your channel is one of only a few that I have to watch every video put out. You give us all so much information, even on things we never think matter! Thank you for sharing all that you do and learn! Keep them coming Steve!
Another amazing chunk of critical knowledge. Really appreciate the amount of work you put in to share this kind of information with us. You just dont see these topics on other channels. Thank you, Steve.
I recently started watching videos about American bass fishing. I used to think that I didn't need to know the opinions and thoughts of other anglers because I only did my fishing for fun, but it's really interesting to learn that there are anglers with different ways of thinking.
Lately, I've been watching pretty much every single video you release. I think it's because I really enjoy how you break down the science behind certain trends or techniques. The underwater video and the experiments all add up to us being smarter anglers. Also, I, for one, prefer the shorter 5-10 min videos most of the time as compared to some that can be half an hour or more. Nothing wrong with the longer format, but sometimes it's nice just to get the info in just a few minutes. Thanks for all of your hard work!
Thank you for all the knowledge you impart on us it's with this knowledge that we're able to adapt and conquer yours is the absolute best TH-cam show about fishing hands down
@@SteveRogersOutdoors For sure… I’m always looking for a leg up being that I live on and fish the Fox River here in Illinois. It’s a beast at times to fish where I live. I believe you’re from Illinois, but not sure if you’re familiar with the Fox?
@@yakangler419 I am familiar with the Fox. I have mainly fished it on the lower end where it dumps into the Illinois River by Ottawa. It is a beautiful river!
Great stuff as always, and getting better all the time! So informative with underwater empirical evidence. You have found your niche and it is genius at work! Your tests and experiments prove and disprove basic concepts, always offering improvements. Thank you Steve! Can’t wait for the next one!
Hey Steve! I really apricate these kinds of videos. Really helps me wrap my head around the lures meant to catch fishman vs what may catch a fish. Rather new to your channel so forgive me if these types of videos have been covered but would be cool to see or perhaps revisit "Conditions" when fishing to find fish. You are very clear in how you describe what you are talking about and keep up the great work!
@SteveRogersOutdoors Wow this is a great topic! Can I make a suggestion/ request to your flash experiment? Can you add a blade that painted white only on 1 side. My suspicion is that will still flash at a deeper depth. Great content, and I love your positivity! Keep it up!!
Another very informative video! I've actually taken to using matte-colored blades lately and finding a good bit of success by varying the retrieves up. Granted, the water I fish is very shallow, but I often wondered if less flash can be a good thing, especially on heavily pressured waters.
It would be super interesting to try and test that out somehow. I agree with you, especially on those days when there is so much pressure. Remember back in the old days when spinnerbaits were everywhere - used to always have one ready.
That was a very interesting video!!! Now we can see why we should do something with our baits instead of just reeling them straight in!!Give them that twitch or jerking action!!!😉Stay Safe & God Bless!!! 🤠👍
It makes sense because a mirror projects its surroundings it doesn't care if its light or dark. Awesome video again Steve! Dude you should start wearing a lab coat cuz you are basically a scientist.
I love that! I should dig one up somewhere. I'm sure folks would have some thoughts on that. Lol. Maybe like an old Bill Nye the Science Guy video that used to air years ago. I just aged myself.
It’s false ! Fishs see UV light wich penetrate very deep. UV light is well reflected on silver blades, chartreuse and anything containe titanium oxyde (white paint). Yes baby. A transludescent coating is enough…

I don’t understand how @SteveRogersOutdoors doesn’t have hundreds of thousands of subscribers. This is the best bass fishing information out there.
The man's channel will blow up.
Thank you! The channel has grown a lot this year. Hopefully, it will really take off in the next year or so.
It’s because he’s not putting out videos where a Barbie rod catches a bass, or bread, or whatever the clickbait squad is doing this month.

This comment section is actually more entertaining than the video 😂
This explains why I get so many more bites when I make the spinnerbait randomly pop while cranking it! This was very helpful Steve thank you!

Best fishing channel on TH-cam
Thanks so much!
So simple, so obvious, so overlooked. You keep making me rethink 50 plus years of fishing Steve.

Thank you! I like the shorter videos as well. They take me forever to do at this length. Lol.
Absolutely fantastic. I’m fishing a tournament soon, so I’ll remember to do these things to maximize the amount of fish exposed to that direct light.
Good luck!

Really want to see the different spinner flashes at different depths! What a great idea! Thanks for all your content!
Looking forward to working on that one.
Great video! Reinforces why retrieves are such an important part of fishing.
Thanks! It is amazing what a difference that retrieve does to that reflection.

You could make a video bait by bait to show how retrieves help or influence a bait
It is a series of videos I think I am going to keep doing over the summer months. They are a lot of fun to work on.

I might add bass can see much further in water than what we can. Take muddy water, we can see a bait 2 inches a bass can see 6 to 8 inches.
Looks like you have to fish a flashing lure shallow or you must vary your retrieve to achieve that flash. Great video Steve.
It was sure interesting to watch it happening when I was filming it. Thanks so much for watching!
Thanks
Very interesting, as usual.

Wow. Can you do a video on painted blades
I have added that to my list of topics to do. Thank you!
No, I guess I need to add a tiny LED white light to my lures
Thanks for another great video!

I'm not a big fan of flash. I usually dull my blades down or even paint them sometimes .
There was a while where painted blades was pretty much all I used. Really loved the chartreuse painted ones. Thanks for watching!
You want to know about flash on a spinner breed that means a bunch of shred
How about painted blades on a spinnerbait?
Here is a video that gets into that a little: th-cam.com/video/nA4oBnNxoV0/w-d-xo.html

Agree. Flash as we see it isn't like the fish see it. They definitely see differently and better than we do in water.
I have been working on some videos to show UV light. It is definitely an important part of everything. Hope to have one out soon. Thank you!
Bottom strolling technique is so good because of this. All it does is roll and flash deep. And catches them. Definitely a false idea.
