Match fees issues, selectors issues, and fitness issues. People in westendies had dropped cricket and take basketball their fav sports.

Sachin and Lara are the greatest of their generation. Can't compare these players. both are champions in their own right. In my opinion, Sachin = Lara, to be fair to both the players. during their careers, sometimes sachin was better than lara and vice-versa. Both were part of a struggling team initially.

How stats could be so misleading. 100 years from now, a kid going by these stats would conclude murali as the best bowler, if that person has not watched either of their videos which i am sure would be available at that time too on TH-cam. They are the greatest leg spinner and off spinner of all time. Both are great bowlers.
