I agree. Oral communication thing that Gavaskar said was just shut down by Rajdeep to lay more importance to Sachin's 11 yr old mental setup. Gavadkars oral and diary stories were really priceless lessons.
Mr Sunil Gavaskar still holds the record for most runs in a debut series with his mammoth 773 in 1971 Vs West Indies and overall a staggering 13 test hundreds against the mighty West Indies. Sachin is still the youngest test centurion in 3 continents- Europe (England), Africa (South Africa) and Australia. And 20 of his 100 international centuries coming against the mighty Australian team. These gentlemen are two of the very greatest batsmen ever and immortal in cricketing folklore especially cuz of their battles against the very best teams.

Yes, Mr Gavaskar showed the world that pace is. Can be handled. It is a certain rustic guy, a javelin thrower who changed the mindet of Indian cricket.
I have been watching cricket since 1977 when Bishen Singh Bedi was the captain in Australia. People say a lot about kind of problem between Kapil and Gavaskar but every time I hear Gavaskar praising Kapil Dev. Anyway, we are proud of these all time greats Gavaskar, Kapil and Tendulkar...

Sachin is on point about changing in fitness and preparation. I was doing my PT in India in middle 90s and when our batch attended a sports medicine seminar, one expert mentioned that only preparation Indian cricket team do then prior to match was 5 rounds off running around the ground and some stretching exercises. Ali Irani was the physio for many years. The best thing happened was the board finally got rid of him and hired a professional. This is what Sachin mentioned without naming the former. According to that speaker Indian hockey team then had professional training and preparation compared to cricket team.
Kapil changed Indian cricket for ever. Kapils 175 no at Turnbridge Wells changes Indian cricket for ever. Kapil's catch of Viv Richards changed world cricket forever (not my words but Clive Lloyds).

the man in the black is the best thing happened to india after 1947...i saw u played live in 3 matches..wish one day i meet u from a feet distance....still get goosebumps seeing that backfoot punch...simply GODLIKE
19:40 Sachin Tendulkar is Indian's genuine post-liberalization hero He gave India so much happiness than anyone since 1947 20:15 Thank you very much for not letting us down Wow thank you thank you Rajdeep for choosing right words on behalf of billions of us!!
Delight listening to Gavaskar and Sachin. The respect Gavaskar has for Kapil is immeasurable it comes out so evidently when he starts speaking of Kapil. 58:30 love it. My two favorite players along with Dilip Vengsarkar in my childhood days n Sachin arrived ... Truly relishingly memorable
Important Indian players of each decade in my knowledge: 30s: Merchant 40s: _-_-_-_-_-_-_ 50s: Mankad 60s: Pataudi 70s: Gavaskar 80s: Kapil Dev 90s: Tendulkar 00s: Ganguly-Dravid 10s: Kohli-Dhoni
It is such a great great great time when we watch two greatest cricketers and equally great anchors , love you Gavaskar , Sachin and equally Harsha Bogle
Simple.. the change happens in every sport or every field.. Indian cricket has the advantage of Indian cricket fans and therefore money. Sachin's generation's batting line up is equally or even more talented to do what the current gen is doing too. Bowling is a different story. But sport evolves, fitness techniques, medicine and everything does. We are seeing that in all sports...
Will this ever happen as Sachin and Kohli together- the next generation of record holders? It says a lot how Sachin respected Gavaskar those days which now is not with #Virushka.
I noticed Sachin never gives due to dada that the Indian team changed under Dada's captaincy....while Speaking of attitude how can Sunil n Sachin n harsh not mention dada as he not only changed cricket playing attitude but he instilled pride in every Indian that India is no less than anyone
Adi Bhattacharyya yes may be Sachin could never become a great captain n the jealousy stems from That aspect as dada gradually became the finest leader in India ...
R B Bro nope Sachin can never be jealous of Dada. He has no reason to be jealous. They both are best of friends and pls u don't try to misunderstand their friendship
Ruchir Mundhra OK got your point hope they remain frens forever..... It was just wat I felt over the years although Sachin has never bad mouthed dada it's just that I thght he never praises him as much as I would have liked 😀
Rajdeep from left, Harsha from right, I believe this was certainly an interrogation meet for Sachin & Gavaskar, though cricketers were able to pulled up well....
What ever you say ....the Harsha bhogle is the best english commentater in across the world but not only in the India...his accent and way of pitching English is the better than native English speaker. We love you gentleman...
Harsha Bhogle (verbose of cricket) is the Sachin Tendulkar and Virendra Sehwag in commentary and Sachin Tendulkar and Virender Sehwag are Harsha Bhogle in batting department. Regards 🌸🌻🌾🔔🔔🔔
Kapil is much much bigger and greater cricketer than dhoni. Dhoni was very average batsman in tests. And dhoni had a ready made team which was built by saurav. No comparision between Kapil and Dhoni pls.Kapil was great - bowling , batting , fielding and captaining a weaker team which was not even paid proper match fees . For a player to be called great his record in tests compulsorily superb and record in odis is an additional ability .
The job of the host is to make the guests comfortable so the guests let their guards down and open up to make the show better for everyone and the host as well. Here, the guests were doing everything to make it better for Harsha but Rajdeep kept on stealing the thunder and ruined it completely as if he is interviewing everyone on CNN-IBN. The title of the book is a complete misnomer. The word "democracy" does not belong there. "11 Plurocrats" would be a better title. Sounds like Rajdeep wasted his college days at Oxford drinking and hence he brought up a beer-culture often during the discussion. @sardesairajdeep #rajdeepsardesai
@ Rajdeep, Harsha and the 2 Master Blasters all of you totally forgot to mention the name of the "finest Indian batsmen ever - not the greatest "but the finest" - the one and only Gundappa Vishwanath" while talking of players of different eras! There could have been other noteworthy mentions - Dilip Vengsarkar, Dilip Doshi, Karsan Ghavri, M Amarnath, Lala Amarnath, Kripal Singh, Javagal Srinath and a few more.....
Rajdeep always has "holier than thou" attitude. And to go to that extent in front of two cricketing "thou" ... what a poor attempt to steal the thunder. His dad Dilip must have rolled his eyes in his grave today. Rajdeep is ironically from the same college as Sunny but with a huge difference bet articulation and ability to listen before responding. No wonder he fails as a journalist. He is more of a talk show host than a journalist anyway.
When you call Sunny, dont make him a listener. Sunny is/was simply the grammar of batting. This is one which everyone knows and will agree. He is also among of the pioneers of English commentators who could match with English and Australian commentators, and we used to feel proud for that, just like we used once to be proud of his batting.
Rajdeep is indeed very annoying. I think he has a chip on his shoulder, that he cannot consider himself an equal to Sachin, Gavaskar and others like his dad! Sad, serious inferiority complex
Both Harsha Bhogle and Rajdeep Sardesai grasping at straws trying to draw parallels between politics and India and Tendulkar and Gavaskar looking at each other like what the fuck did I sign up for.
The book has some good things ... but rajdeep you seem to error a lot in public forms .. you got the total scores wrong . Somehow somehow you seemed very alone here on this stage for your own book ...
Why the introduction in this video talks about religion, caste and family background.Cricket is a sport and sports never had any differences. Its an insult to talk about differences in sports. If we stop mentioning about caste, religion and status we will slowly forget it.This way we can make a better society
5:48 - They are standing in reverse order of Cricket earnings. (Not disrespecting any one, just an observation of how cricketers before 80s rarely made living)
use less discussion.. answer is very simple : Diliip Sardesai's Son didnt clicked in right areas i guess - title should not be democracy 11 , but it should be capitalist 11. First thing: Its all about how rich BCCI has become from 1980 to till date- that reflects on the mindset of Indian players- in other words money dictate terms- more richer BCCI provide more facility - more facility would fine tune raw talent.. This is why Pakistan , despite having raw talent over decades, even from 60's couldn't reach the expected heights .. The amount of money generated for cricketers - is the reason why a school going kid chooses cricket as his profession Second thing: Who changed it ? Gevaskar was right - it was Kapil dev who won us world cup in 1983- which lead India to host 1987 world cup , which i consider the starting point of revenue generation to BCCI.. If Kapil didnot won us WC in 83, we would not have hosted reliance world cup in 1987 ...By 1996 WC, BCCI has become richer - thanks to the heroics of one man - Sachin Third : Generation gap & leader ship - Change is a natural process - Good leaders have arrived - Saurav and Dhoni has a distinct approach to the game , than the other previous captains. Both Saurav and Dhoni were more confident and innovative - Now you can see Vkohli a supremely confident player and captain . It makes easy for the selection committee for the next generation as well- on how to choose a future captain
Whether its success of cricket or movies in India, its a tight slap on the face of those who preach Hindu rashtra. Indian cricket team and Hindi movies represent an ever shining secular and liberal India.
Rajdeep Sardesai is such an unnecessary person sitting there..literally ruining the conversations that idiot sardesai. What beautiful stories to hear from Gavaskar sahab and Sachin
At 17:20 Gavaskar Sir is right. Asinine asshole Mr. Sardesai defended but he was wrong. If we go to 11:38 we can see that he said 16(I think 60) thousand. Mr Gavaskar never wore a helmet against Windies pl don't mess with his concentration Rajdeep. Great to see the two legends on one stage.
When Gavaskar is speaking one should just listen. Such an excellent story teller. On the other hand when Rajdeep speaks it feels like pure noise even if he is making some sense.
Can't agree more......
No i don't agree
It was as much from the heart as anyone
Don't listen to him as a political commentator
I am 66 yr old and have seen this generation of cricketers play.
I agree. Oral communication thing that Gavaskar said was just shut down by Rajdeep to lay more importance to Sachin's 11 yr old mental setup. Gavadkars oral and diary stories were really priceless lessons.

So simply admire the skills of players always, and be graceful to accept their failures as well, be it KOHLI, SACHIN or even SIR VIV. ✌️☺️
Dear friends, even cricketer in earlier years himself & cricket expert HARSHA BHOGLE appreciates the originality of each & every player including SACHIN KOHLI everyone, and doesn't make such typical comparative judgements. Sunil Gavaskar and Sachin Tendulkar two greatest Indians, God of Happiness Sachin Tendulkar and Hope of india Sunil Gavaskar

1996 :
LOST SEMIS TO SRILANKA BY RIOTING CROWD

H : SACHIN SIDHU KUMBLE RAJU JADEJA PRASAD & lastly SRINATH (in SEMIS and few other matches, also inconsistent at times)

1998 :
LOST SEMIS TO WINDIES
H : SACHIN GANGULY JADEJA ROBIN JOSHI DRAVID
V : Worst bowling unable to pick wickets or contain runs, especially KUMBLE SRINATH vs strong WI in SEMIS
1999 :
OUT, LAST IN SUPER SIX
H : DRAVID GANGULY SACHIN ROBIN JADEJA RAMESH (good contributions with bat often at times) & SRINATH KUMBLE PRASAD MOHANTY (either wicket takers or have contained runs somewhat often)
V : Extremely inconsistent batting except DRAVID GANGULY SACHIN, JADEJA peeks in super six stage and ROBIN is solid, but often the top trio fails in some crucial matches, AZHAR MONGIA and bowlers except PRASAD MOHANTY SRINATH ROBIN & little of KUMBLE are damn inconsistent and have leaked runs in few matches which led to WC exit with last position in super six, and even GANGULY was very iffy in super six. ☹️

Gavaskar is an excellent communicator. Even at 68 his charm is irresistible
"Alignment of the planets",the only thing that could make a 15 year old play for India!!!
Sachin simply is the epitome of talent!!!
True in astrological terms.
Kapil changed Indian cricket for ever. Kapils 175 no at Turnbridge Wells changes Indian cricket for ever. Kapil's catch of Viv Richards changed world cricket forever (not my words but Clive Lloyds).
abe chutye, where this kapil came here in this column.
kapil 175 how many times repeat?? now enough.

Very true
Man Sachin is such a great player and a human being! Also he has some good stories to narrate..
Everything about this interview was so perfect apart from Mr. Sardesai. Wish Harsha was the solo anchor throughout.
What a fantastic moment that the two greats complements each other is a real climaxed of the program.
19:40 Sachin Tendulkar is Indian's genuine post-liberalization hero
He gave India so much happiness than anyone since 1947

Wow thank you thank you Rajdeep for choosing right words on behalf of billions of us!!
How smartly Harsha Bhogle pinned Rajdeep to let him understand Expertise of cricket which Harsha Posses.

50s: Mankad
60s: Pataudi
70s: Gavaskar
80s: Kapil Dev
90s: Tendulkar

10s: Kohli-Dhoni
I think I agree 😃😄

2000's can be Ganguly-Dravid-Kumble. Kumble was our greatest match winner.
2000's sachin dravid ganguly laxman and sehwag
It is such a great great great time when we watch two greatest cricketers and equally great anchors , love you Gavaskar , Sachin and equally Harsha Bogle
When sachin and gavaskar talk you just want to listen on and on
I watched this for Harsha! Yes Dada legacy is missed!
Four Marathi Legends on one platform.❤
Harsha is just brilliant ❤️
Always great to have Harsha on a panel from television watching same to youtube interesting always
I will tell my kids to learn from these 3 guys...how to be gentleman in life
Gavaskar is amazing n much better story teller
1:00:25 loved those stories from Sunil Gavaskar
Omg Sachin and ajharuddin standing next to each other. Superb scence
Simple.. the change happens in every sport or every field..
Adi Bhattacharyya yes indeed they were and still are....
Sachin has always been selfish

Kapil is much much bigger and greater cricketer than dhoni. Dhoni was very average batsman in tests. And dhoni had a ready made team which was built by saurav. No comparision between Kapil and Dhoni pls.Kapil was great - bowling , batting , fielding and captaining a weaker team which was not even paid proper match fees . For a player to be called great his record in tests compulsorily superb and record in odis is an additional ability .

Waiting for a book of such type by Harsha Bhogle!!

One fast bouncer from Umesh and Rajdeep will lie flat on the ground unconscious 😂😂😂😂😂
Sourav Ganguly from middle class family? What I heard is he is from very rich family. He was called a prince because of that and his attitude.
Rajdeep is indeed very annoying. I think he has a chip on his shoulder, that he cannot consider himself an equal to Sachin, Gavaskar and others like his dad! Sad, serious inferiority complex
Hasn't Rajdeep violated the cannons of courtesy by sitting "Leg-Crossed" while others are so humble ?
He's wearing a pyjama!?
Why are there so much haters of rajdeep sardesai?
@Jingle Jangle You said it perfectly. He is an idiot.
Both Harsha Bhogle and Rajdeep Sardesai grasping at straws trying to draw parallels between politics and India and Tendulkar and Gavaskar looking at each other like what the fuck did I sign up for.
The fuck is he doing talking about people's eating habits. What in the world is this guy doing sitting on the same stage as these legends.
The book has some good things ... but rajdeep you seem to error a lot in public forms .. you got the total scores wrong . Somehow somehow you seemed very alone here on this stage for your own book ...
Nari contractor waS truly courageous
MSD was extremely lucky to inherit the team from Ganguly. But as usual Dada has been overlooked. Only possible in India.
Mad came when two captains failed mad is godmsd is god
Why the introduction in this video talks about religion, caste and family background.Cricket is a sport and sports never had any differences. Its an insult to talk about differences in sports. If we stop mentioning about caste, religion and status we will slowly forget it.This way we can make a better society
rajdeep is so annying .
Why is Rajdeep so aggressive? I don't get his body language.
apparently his father was a indian test player. This might give you some insight
An apparently he is chutiya no 1lol
Ganguly changed the whole game
48:04 Rajdeep is a brilliant oracle what he hath spoketh has happened 5 years hence 😵🤯🤔😂😁
The amount of money generated for cricketers - is the reason why a school going kid chooses cricket as his profession
Second thing: Who changed it ? Gevaskar was right - it was Kapil dev who won us world cup in 1983- which lead India to host 1987 world cup , which i consider the starting point of revenue generation to BCCI.. If Kapil didnot won us WC in 83, we would not have hosted reliance world cup in 1987 ...By 1996 WC, BCCI has become richer - thanks to the heroics of one man - Sachin
Third : Generation gap & leader ship - Change is a natural process - Good leaders have arrived - Saurav and Dhoni has a distinct approach to the game , than the other previous captains. Both Saurav and Dhoni were more confident and innovative - Now you can see Vkohli a supremely confident player and captain .
It makes easy for the selection committee for the next generation as well- on how to choose a future captain
35:13 W_ _ _ Charlie? Does anyone know full name of the cricketer he is referring to?
Wess Hall and Charlie Griffith
Whether its success of cricket or movies in India, its a tight slap on the face of those who preach Hindu rashtra. Indian cricket team and Hindi movies represent an ever shining secular and liberal India.
Please can someone edit the video and upload without Rajdeep. Kya pakau hai ye
Diamonds r for ever
48:00 If you offer Sourav Bcci chief. He will take it.
He is the BCCI chief right now.
48.08 It happened now Thank you
I think there should have been a separate 1 hour session with Harsha & Rajdeep.
The problem with Rajdeep is that he loves the sound of his own voice too much.
Notice for every statement Sunny G makes, there's an applause.
Such a talented cricketer and a good commentator.
all 3 maharashtrians.....so proud..
Ears hurt listening to Sardesai 😔😒
