Many thanks once again for this awesome video. Can you please show a way of drawing the BMD and SFD along the pile for solid element piles? That would be of great help.
How can the pile is activated in geostatic step and there are no displacements in geostatic step. If pile is present in geostatic step the equilibrium will not be achieved due to difference in weight of soil and pile. Could u pls explain!
My study is about lateral loads on open caisson in loose sand (sand inside the caisson) , no holes are provided in the soil model. Then how to provide interaction between soil and caisson?
@Shunmuga Mari I think you should define internal interaction between caisson wall surface and part of the soil that in contact with caisson. you should partition of the soil that located inside and around the caisson then in defining surface to surface interaction choose (select from interior entities) option to select internal soil surfaces that in contact with walls of the caisson.
1.Plasticity/creep/connector friction algorithm didn't converge 2. For tie pair, not all the nodes that have adjusted were printed. Specify *preprint, model= yes for complete printout. ---This was the warning that I got after the analysis. Can you pls explain it?
@Nandana Raj 1.This warning can have different reasons: weak materials, incorrect definition of boundary conditions, incorrect meshing, especially in the contact areas. 2.This warning not so important and doesn't affect the results.
@Nandana Raj If we consider the pile embeded in the ground, There is no need to make holes in the soil. Note that in this video the pile is not embeded in the soil and only the IPB profile is embeded inside the concrete.
There are different methods for problem analysis such as analytical method, numerical method and experimental method. Here we mean to simulate the problem and solve it by numerical analysis method.

Could u pls tell how to plot load displacement curve in Abaqus in case of laterally loaded piles!
how can we get shear force and bending moment along the length of the pile?
Thank you very much for this, could you please model a combined piled raft foundation and a model with soil structure seismic analysis! would be great
Hello, do you have this video please?
I like the video .can u show me one example of static pile load test in layered soil.t hanks
Can you please tell how to analyse lateral loaded pile with effect of scour depth? Using abaqus

Whats the name of the grounds used in the model?
Nice video! But how can reduce the number of nodes when using student edition?? With 1000nodes restriction
I don't Know
1.Plasticity/creep/connector friction algorithm didn't converge
2. For tie pair, not all the nodes that have adjusted were printed. Specify *preprint, model= yes for complete printout.

sir, why do we partition the soil near pile?? what if i dont do that?
Is it necessary to provide holes in soil for the pile in the case of an embedded condition

Thanks, but I got the following error on run SHELL ELEMENTS MAY NOT BE USED IN A *SOILS PROCEDURE
Check the elements that you assigned to the parts in the mesh module
Please Does modeling only half of the pile not affect the results of the analysis
No
Please Does modeli
Sir what is simulation in blast?
I didn't understand what you mean?
@@CivilSkill what is the meaning of simulation?
And what is difference between simulation and numerical modeling?
