This ThinkPad Tablet Cost THOUSANDS More Than The Original iPad (ThinkPad X201 Tablet)

- In this video I show of some of the many features of my ThinkPad X201 Tablet, which came out the same year as the first generation iPad. Back then the ThinkPad was much more expensive than the iPad. Of course these two devices were intended for different markets, but it's interesting how vastly different they are even though they are both considered tablets. The mobile monitor I use in this video is the think vision 03X7924
I bought the predecessor to this, the X200 Tablet for under 100... not now, when nobody wants stuff of that time period, but in like 2013, when it was still quite a decent machine. I would not have told it costed that much from what I paid, certainly.
Good lord didn't know that X201 was this crazy. Thinkpads truly were crazy back in the day. Right now I am using a macbook pro from 2020, I am going to get a Thinkpad T480 soon and go back to good old Debian.
Loved the video mate, thank you for such quality content.
This is the greatest ThinkPad video I've ever watched. Incredible what you engineered with the second screen, what you showed at 8:34 is like a more modular X1 Fold or Yoga Book, but it's a classic ThinkPad.
Amazing vid man, content feels down to earth and was really enjoyable, keep it up!
I considered to like and subscribe, because I want more content like this.
Love this, great video!
3g is still supported in lebanon
I LOVE your videos!
8:35 Hey, isn't this the new trends for ultra expensive laptops nowadays? zenbook duo for example
This video should be an advertisement, it is making me think about buying one! Anyways, great job, keep up the good work!
I have the regular x201 and always wanted to get the tablet version. Too bad they it goes for over $100 nowadays...
bro: i have one of these! nice to see you covering it! i7/8gb ram/256gb ssd/win10Pro
Thank You for this Wonderful Video, Bloody Well Done, ah yes the amazing Thinkpad, i run Linux on all of my 5 various model Thinkpads!
X201T is good, but why not X200T? The cpu uses Core 2 Duo, which doesn't have any kind of backdoor stuff with the cpu, and it even supports the libreboot, which decreases the boottime and improves the security!
It was a great tablet for its time
Yooooo, U finally uploaded
Good video, but could you maybe make the music/sounds a little bit lower? They are way louder than your voice
Please make a video about the ThinkPad T480! :D
I want one of those...
The way you hold the pen is disturbing
What's disturbing on you is if you place your hand on a screen while writing it act up unlike Galaxies
No need to scoff whit the Lonovo company. The iPad you're talking about has long since been thrown into the trash. Update is disabled. The battery is only put in for service if it hasn't broken yet. Lenovo engineers tried to design a notebook that would work for 20 years. They succeeded. It was not made for those who want to play Candy Cras and whine that it doesn't fit in their bag. Well, because of such needs, expandable devices have almost completely disappeared from the market. Slowly, every year you can throw everything away and buy a new one, for you can take a selfie with it.
omg link to expresscard thing pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeease!
I can't find one in stock there's this listing, but they are out of stock. www.pchub.com/uph-laptop-card-express-34-54mm-bc208-bluetooth20-p86884
@@Duraputer thanks bro, ill do some research!
How did u run w11 on it
I used an easy2boot drive. There are some fancy things you have to do. It's been a long time so I forgot exactly what I did. It doesn't work with Rufus. Also I need to make sure I chose to install w11 home since the device came with w7 home. Doing that let's me use the w7 product key to activate it. It would be a lot easier to install w10.
@@Duraputer uh okay, I watch every single vid U do btw. I rly need to upgrade my thinkpad T460 with an i7 6600U, 32gb ram, 1tb HDD
@@bestcreate1417 the t460 does not have an upgradable CPU unless you want to change the motherboard. Also I would go with SSD over HDD. And make sure to choose ddr3l sodimm ram.
It has ddr4, I need w11 on it, but it is the laptop I use for medical school since 3 yrs
