It was interesting how they went with all of Lloyd's options. I'm always good with more Tio pairing food, so I'll take it!

I mean I'm glad they allowed you to carry over the character for Rean, ofc I had to stick with the person I chose throughout the entire series Laura but at the same time I'm kinda sad they removed bonding events. Yes I understand I'm probably in the minority there ofc because I know these games are more about story but idk I liked how it gave you a sense of freedom kinda like Persona where you choose if you were to put yourself in their shoes but alas they removed it and declared Alisa as canon. Don't get me wrong Alisa is great but I still would have loved that tiny bit of freedom. I mean what they bumped into each at the train station and now they're married basically it don't work that way in the real world...at least half the time it does the other half they ignore you and call the police...at least in today's society. Anyway yeah I would have loved that bit of freedom I mean it makes me question why you made all the other games (cold steel) have the system and then just ditch it last second, why even create it in the first place. Oh well it's their game not for me to say and I will agree it was a bit annoying especially when he had like 20 choices, I will admit he didn't need that much especially the Elise one I still find it weird that even her mother was pushing for it in one of the bonding event.
Hey at least they did it the right way with Lloyd, I was confused with the Tio hug I couldn't tell if it was because I chose her in Azure or Zero (can't remember which is the second one) or it was because she generally missed him and that's why I liked how they did Lloyds because they all have a scene because it's not necessarily romance but because he generally cares for his friends as they him.
Oh well I wholeheartedly apologize that this comment is extremely long and that it may seem like Idk what I'm talking about half the time but hey figured I share my opinion on it. I'm almost done with my first playthtough of the game, was busy the last few months but I finally settled down to play it.
Remind me WHY we also didn’t get clear Azure data in this game cause I feel like I would’ve chose Rixia as Lloyd’s love partner when I played this game the same way when I chose Rean’s love partner in this game
Probably like Cold Steel 3 not carrying over cs2 cause of the system change

Meh, I particularly think it's lazy writting. Would be one thing to have all love interests reaching this consensus together with the MC, then having that properly set with the story and then have play a part in it. Another thing is to 'go for it' just to be face.
Then we have the even worse option, to leave it in the open forever, with emphasis on 'forever'.

C’mon lads, as much as I appreciate a dense protagonist, you can’t tell me after all these years you’re still the current level of dense.
That being said, what Principle Le Guin said still rings true.
I had my fill of DENSE protags. It's THE ONLY factor that STOPPED ME from buying this game series since the PS Vita's version.
I take it that Rean is STILL THAT DENSE after GRADUATION??
@@HattaTHEZulZILLA86 fortunately he’s not, after cold steel 4 he’s now fully aware, weirdly Lloyd is also aware, don’t know how that happened, but here we are.
For the sake of Cannon, “Beware Spoilers”.
Rean and Alisa are Cannon, don’t know how that happened, when Rean and Towa are much better suited.
I’m sure even after playing the first two games you know why, it’s cemented better in 3 & 4 but still, Falcom went with, in my opinion “the most ridiculous choice”.
As for Lloyd the Cannon as far as I’m aware is him and Rixia.
Of all the relationships this Cannon choice makes the most sense.
@@HattaTHEZulZILLA86 also in 3 & 4, no Rean isn’t as Dense as used to be, again “Spoiler Warning” he’s completely unaware that what he says will likely get him into trouble, he’s been warned I don’t know how many times since 2 about the way in which he words things.

Things finally click, when Rean and Claire have a lengthy talk in trails into Reverie.
@@garethedwards5799 That's very odd to bring up cannon when quite literally your choice... is cannon. For instance... my cannon is ReanxJuna... and LloydxTio.
Also I would like to add... Reverie only shows Rean's true love interest here and there in scenes where it matters. Each character assuming they have maxed affection will show it in various ways. They adapted the story for the player.
I will also die on that hill cause Alisa is... an empty character in 3 and 4. If she didn't exist in the plot... the plot would still continue with her parents. So if you like her good for you. That said that also means ReanxTowa is also a cannon pick cause your choice matters.
Oh and spoilers....
Alisa is just there for the Reinford company factory therefor doesn't even join Rean's group TIL THE END OF THE BLOODY GAME!!! Who cheers Randy up? Towa and Machias... (Machias could easily be replaced with empty space too...) and they were shoe horned in for team convenience... Thinking back on it now... there are too many characters... XD Oh well it works out for everyone.
Okay vented. I will never understand... even after experiencing all of Cold Steel 1 and 2 why people are obsessed with cannon and especially with Alisa... She's cute... but she has literally bare minimum plot convenience.
Okay said my peace. You choose who you want. Ignore... people talking cannon because the cannon does not make sense outside of plot. Some people hook Rean up with Laura... some people hook Lloyd up with Noel... Some people ship Lloyd with Wazy... You do you.

I'm new to the trails series but I know all about Llyod and Rean's harems.
And between the two, I think I prefer Llyod's his is what at most 5 girls? While Rean's is up to the point it's just looks like wish fulfilment to me.

i still think Emma should be canon pair to Rean rather than Alisa, i hate Falcom do the scene where Alisa nearest to Rean. They should put whoever player pick as romance should be beside the MC/Rean
In Llyod part, i probably can see Rixia or Claire as Canon.
I have Zero, Azure and Cs 4. If Lloyd was a little manlier i would pair him with Noel 😊. In Azure im not deep in, the loading screens ruin the Fun a little.

No they wouldn't. Do you really think they would be able to voice the insane amount of text these games have? If you look at the games with the largest scripts ever, Kiseki games consistently show up on the list. And it's one of the few RPGs on there too, most of the games on that list are visual novels.
You want fully voiced games? Look what happened to Fallout 4 trying to have it's protagonist fully voiced compared to New Vegas' voiceless protagonist, and then come back and realize how bad of an idea full voice acting can actually be. You had way better dialogue options in New Vegas BECAUSE of the lack of voice acting.

I think that the only thing I don't like in the series is that every protagonist after Estelle was a non intentional womanizer, In the beginning with Lloyd it was ok (it wasn't that many people at least), but rean just made it stupid, I hope they stops that stuff in the next arc.
They do stop the harem trend in Trails Through Daybreak, don't worry. Van has a canon romantic interest.

@@sterenn726Yeah. It feel its also unneccesary to give a romance option for a New Class VII member while there two guy in the group that need to be loved than Rean. Poor Kurt and Ash. They are sacrificed to make Rean a harem god like Adol.
