Saint John Ogalvie is rightfully a Saint! I was heavenly directed to kneel before his statue in his Church in Irvine i.e. no option but to kneel via the Holy Spirit's Power before his statue many decades ago! Extremely holy experience! However such a presentation above the Tabernacle in Saint Andrew's is NOT appropriate
This refurb is utterly atrocious! It looks like some university graduation hall. Look... this is a Catholic church. It doesn't even have a Sacred Heart statue any more, nor a Lady altar. They messed up the pieta. They took the Christus of the cross. It is a disgrace. And while I do like the St. John Ogilvie painting... you don't put it in the Sacrament chapel...that's where the Sacred Heart alter once was. They should have had a separate John Ogilivie chapel set up somewhere else. ... And they wonder why the place is always empty!
