How did the engine rebuild go? Are you going to have another video showing it run? I'm looking at buying a 1086 off a friend, would you be concerned about blowby and a little oil dripping out the crank breather tube? He has been running it that way for 10 years and so far no issues but worried ill get stuck with the overhaul lol. He adds 1qt oil for about a 10 to 12 hour running day. I do have about 60 hours in the rebuild. There is a video on the 986 running. “The results of the rebuild” How many hours on the 1086? One quart is quite a bit in my mind. If you can get it at a reasonable price and run it for two years with adding oil and have no other issues you can consider to overhaul the engine in the slow season.

yes last time i was up there i bought fuel and was very lost on the price , plus the speed limit , lol i was passing everyone , i am very glad i did slow down before i got a ticket , Randy i too had a problem with a bolt like that , i can not remember what i did in the end but i did have a little leak a few months latter , maybe because of the heat as you were thinking , be safe , be well, enjoy life ,
I wanted to make sure that I have enough threads in the block. Just in case I would tighten the nut on the manifold, I could possibly pull the stud out with stripping the threads in the block. I was not sure. It puts my mind at ease.

Could you possibly cut a couple mm off of the bolt so that when you thread it into the block the shoulder is where you want it?
