    I've had ALL sense I was 16. I've had to explain it so many times, and answer so many questions but you're series on leukemia really helps with all that and now I can just show them a video instead of trying to explain it, thank you.

    • @vijaynegi6164

      ALL can present with 9:22 translocation i.e philadelphia chromosome .. that’s why we use Tyrosine kinase inhibitor even in ALL !!

      ALL has acute in the name so is dangerous anyways according to what the teacher from Khan has said. From another video(not Khan) CLL is said to be least dangerous. So, ALL, AML, and CML are all dangerous.

    My wife died of ALL.
    I am convinced that it was Secondary Acute Leukemia.
    Prior to the ALL, she had thyroid trouble & had part of her thyroid removed & was taking synthroid.
    Later, her doctor had her take a radio-Iodine 131 treatment.
    Irradiating the body too much, (I believe) cause too many mutations....the result being adult ALL.
    She was diagnosed in early 2005 & died a few months later.
    I should of sued Dr. Leroy Schroeder. We had no idea of the risks of this.
    So if you are recommended to have a radio-iodine 131 treatment for thyroid.... don't do it!
    Its a death sentence.
    I bet I can't sue anyway....Its been too long.

    Sad to see that you did not talk more about Acute Erythroblastic Leukemia. I was diagnosed with AEL when I was 16 months, so yeh. It's a real thing that happens in the REAL WORLD you know, not only theoretically. Anyways, I am now trying to find more information about the type of cancer, but I guess it is hard to find. :/

    Now,how can you be able to notice the translocation thing under microscope

  • @Persason
    @Persason 5 ปีที่แล้ว

    You lack the scientific explanation of why things are as they are. Eg. why does chemo respond better to 12:21 translocations? An analogy is fine but only if you also sum up the reason. Your colleague that did videos on the myoloproliferative disorders managed to do this, so it should be doable :). Medicine is after all a scientific field. Also what about treatment and symptoms?
