It is now September, 2022, and the Credo is available with 6 different reticles. MOA or Mil. Red or Green. Segmented circle or plain crosshairs and illuminated dot with holdovers. The dot is very bright.

Everyone’s are different, I like the credo, the glass is good. It’s not nuclear bright like a razor that only illuminates a small center dot, but if it did it would bloom and cover up a target. Good review though.

On my Credo HX which is the Non-Segmented reticle type and Just the illuminated dot, it is red dot/daylight bright, so bright it still blooms on a sunny day. It may just be the different reticle types.

Great review. I think you would enjoy the Delta Stryker 1-6x24 for a sub 1k, great glass, Japanese manufactured, nuclear bright illuminated dot, mrad/mil cross hair reticle options, SFP LPVO. It's a bit above the pst gen 2 1-6 and a bit below the razor 1-6. But beats them both in heft at just under 18 ounces. Thanks again!

I appreciate your take on things, I always try to get the negatives when looking at buying something. I am still definitely interested in this scope, but what LVPOs do you prefer? Thanks!

Scope preference is very subjective. Strong opinions when it comes to first or second focal planes and reticle types. In general I sum things up as follows. For scopes up to 1-6 I prefer second focal plane and a simple duplex reticle or mil reticle. Many scope options but personal favorites are the Vortex razor 1-6 and the Swarovski Z6i. For 1-8 scopes first or second with mil based reticle. I like the second focal plane Kahles. For 1-10 a first focal plane makes sense. The Vortex razor is the only on in this range I have any time with and I like it.

It is a great scope, I love mine, but i can only speak for my non segmented reticle version, it is so bright it blooms in daylight.

I wish they offered a better reticle solution with just the center dot lit up.

You can get the trijicon credo HX that has just a center dot and it gets much brighter than this. Different exterior finish but otherwise the same scope.

They do, I have one with just the illuminated dot, bright enough to bloom in daylight.

i blame trijicon for not making it clear exactly how many reticle options they have. Also doesn't help that the illumination on these models absolutely vary wildly between reticles. The red dot hunter bdc is daylight bright easily. Literally the exact same material and glass as the delta stryker too. The green dot hunter bdc? terrible illumination.
