    I wonder when trijicon will wake up from their coma and start making Reticles that are from this decade

    • @mattfleming86
      @mattfleming86 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      They do in the Credo(accupower) version. You're limited here by the fiber optic and tritium part.

    • @3of11
      @3of11 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@mattfleming86yup you have to have the black bars for the wires that power the triangle.
      But they could have done them at like 45 degrees or 90 degrees for room for a BDC

    • @bghiggy
      @bghiggy ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@mattfleming86 I get that but they illuminated a chevron in the acog with fiber optics and that works really well. A giant triangle on a black post is awful unless you're doing like 3 gun shooting under 200 yards

    • @mattfleming86
      @mattfleming86 ปีที่แล้ว +7

      @@bghiggy The ACOG is a prism optic. Different animal.
      I'm not saying your opinion is not right.. there is a reason I have one accupower and one credo instead of two accupoints. But that's how they ended up in that boat. The Moa-doy crosshair wasn't bad on the 1-6. The others should have been a little more like that.

      @bghiggy that big triangle is amazing in a dangerous game rifle or an AR with a 36/300 zero.

    You know what is funny? I know about and fell in love with the German #4 reticle due to a mod in Fallout 4. It is my go-to for all my rifle scopes.

    I purchased a new Trijicon TR25 with the green triangle last summer. I have had two TR24’s with a red and one with the amber triangle. I am 77 and have a few eye issues. Every review I looked at, people were saying the Trijicon dot reticles were very small and hard to see so I did not even consider them. I mounted the scope on my AR 450 Bushy. We’re I am at in my blind ( same spot for over 20 years) down in a creek bottom 20 feet down from the top farm land, very thick and my longest shot is about 70, by far most of my shots are 25 to 50 yards. The Trijicon TR25 was beautiful to use. Shot a buck on opening morning at about 8:20. Love the big green triangle. At those ranges I can shoot and the triangle just has to be on the deer in my kill zones. Certainly if I have time I use the point of the triangle where I want to shoot. I don’t have much use for the tritium because of legal shooting times. I purchased the scope for a little more magnification than the 4 powers provided. Plus the Trijicon TR24’s were not a true 1x, more like a 1 1/4, big difference.This scope on 1x gives me a great field of view following the animal in and for a quicker shots, and the 6x lets me zoom in for a well placed shot if and when the animal stops in my shooting area. It is perfect for my needs. If some other scope maker came out with a Triangle reticle I might consider it, NAW, I AM VERY HAPPY WITH MY TRIJICON TR25
    Thanks

    Triangle recticle works so well on 1x hosing like a giant red dot. Think of it as a “red dot and magnifier combined into one lightweight package”
    For “medium range” 0-300 yards use full speed 5.56 out of a 16” barrel and zero about 2” high at 200, it’ll be 4” low at 300yds and no more than 2-3” high from 100-200.
    Past that you would have to dial and it’s really not good for that sort of shooting.
    Nice to not have to worry about batteries

    This with an ACSS reticle would be the PERFECT LPVO 😊

  • @Nathan-zw7nq
    @Nathan-zw7nq ปีที่แล้ว +3

    Man, an LED/Fiber Optic LPVO would actually be a good solution to battery life issues with LPVOs. When you’re outside and it’s sunny, which in most places is probably over half of the time, you can run purely off the fiber optic and have your LED illumination off. Go inside or during a particularly overcast day, turn the LED illumination on. I wouldn’t worry about night vision use as it is essentially useless to try and use any magnified optic under nods.

    I've got the 3-9x and it's actually perfect.
    So light, so tough and the image is wonderful.
    The mildot does a wonderful job for just shooting with a combat zero (40/250 for me) and you can crank it up to 9x and do a good job identifying or estimating range.

    For some reason I have a feeling this optic is made more for the sporting sector than the tactical sector. I need a longer eye relief scope for a small howitzer I put together and trijicons tended to be in the discussions of low power optics intended for big bore stopper rifles.

    Great review as always my friend, glad you enjoyed your visit with the German #4! So, I guess I need to send you the MilDot next? 😂
    Thank you again for emphasizing the K.I.S.S. mindset with these Accupoints! Using a 33/330 yard zero keeps ya, er, me golden +/- 6" from 0-380 yards (-9" at 400 yards). Plenty useful for my needs.
    You rock, C!!!!!

    A simple BDC for 16 inch barrels and 14.5 barrels with 55 grain would be perfect for this type of scope. The credo HX already does that. And it uses fiber technology with led so i dont know why they cant do this on the accupoint

    Bring up some good points, I’ve always thought the reticle on both would be better upside down with minimal interference on your view underneath the reticle.

    awesome content & review: as much as I wish I could own a Trijcon this content killed it for me. I would prefer to have an daylight bright illuminated reticle.

    • @BlackCloud0351
      @BlackCloud0351 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Trust me, they get daylight bright enough even on a dull, overcast day. Part of the problem is that C_DOES doesn't have lots of natural ambient lighting when he is doing the filming from inside looking out. Due to editing constraints he also didn't demonstrate how those three bold stadia lines immediately guide your eye to the center of your aiming point when using a WML in low/no light situations.
      My old TR25 Green Triangle Post. Video doesn't do it justice, but is definitely nuclear bright, this is on a overcast day:

    @c_does, what's your opinion on the best of the 1-6 "$800-1.2k" bracket LPVOs now? I think it's a very competitive market and the SAI/used Razor HD/Delta Stryker/Credo HX are very interesting.

      The Zeiss hasnt been in front of my eye in quite some time. I remember very vividly that the 4x was better then the 1x on the Zeiss. The TR25 despite everything to me is really really impressive. I would absolutely rock one.
