Honeycomb are working on drivers for MSFS. Ordered my throttle from Amazon UK on May 14th. Current delivery date is December 9th - it's been pushed back three times. Great video - it shows how much immersion you can achieve with this setup and MSFS.

Likewise. Not a word from Honeycomb on where the online retailer orders are in the "production week" lists. Impossible to pre-order on the Honeycomb website unless you were in the US. They've not answered the questions I've posed them on numerous social media outlets. Very disappointing!

@Ardberg1977 Aerosoft are one of the agents in Europe. Amazon cancelled my yoke order a month waiting. Probably a wait but I'd try Aerosoft. E mail or look on site.

Nice interesting video cool you set the weather like so ....scary stuff right enough! . Love the Honeycombe hardware ..great!
I'm still waiting for my honeycomb yoke to arrive.
I didn't think they've released the updated drivers for the Throttle quadrant yet ,that's why some control's like the landing gear indicators don't work.
    Thanks again wayne
Ps. I'm waiting for a Reverb g2 VR headset to come too but dunno how thats going to work with real world hands on controls 😬

It can be better if the spring tension and the damping of the yoke can be adjusted. I have tried it on 2019 EAA Airventure. The force feeling is closed to C172. However, the switch layout is obviously a diamond DA type with the ignition on the right. A little bit weird because the diamond uses a center stick.

Hi Wayne. Whilst the video was great from a scary/lost point of view, great/lucky that the visibility improved markedly.
It might have been better to have set for clear sky's, so that you could concentrate on demonstrating the operation of the yoke and throttle quadrant.
Looked as if you flew for some time with the starter motor grinding away, took off into the wind on a heading of S/21 and landed on the same heading, whilst saying it would be tricky landing with a tail/side wind.
Looking forward to a second video when you you have the new drivers, have set up the 'controls' parameters, and have a set of peddles really :-)
    Cheers Noel

Bunch of different retailers you can back order from. I think they are $249 USD each.

You sure gave the Alpha & Bravo a tough test with that weather. Hehehe... Looked like the Bravo's trim wheel seemed to be responsive, unlike other trim wheels so far. I love my Alpha but dang it's going to be forever before I can order a Bravo. Hopefully things can get back to some sort of normalcy early next year so the availability will be better.

There is a second set of handles consisting of 4 thrust levers, a flaps lever and speedbrake lever.

A video about a throttle and doesn't talk about the throttle at all. Gets lost in IMC doesn't even reach for the GPS once.

How on earth do you get your hands on the Bravo so far ahead of everyone else? It's very disappointing that you are using an axis on the quad as a rudder axis. Surely if you are going to be reviewing a device that is meant to provide greater "realism" and "immersion", then at the very least, you should have the hardware in place to give a more rounded review of the device being used in the fashion that it was intended for. Rudder pedals certainly are not difficult to come by. If this is a review unit that you have been sent out by Honeycomb, then it is doubly disappointing.

    • @SIMRIG412
      @SIMRIG412 3 ปีที่แล้ว

1 it was obviously sent to him by honeycomb duh. 2 who cares he doesn't have rudder pedal. Most rudder pedals are cheap plastic for almost $200. Or vkb for $215 or junk crosswind for $330. 3 maybe he is waiting for honeycomb charlie rudder pedals. 4 what the fuck do you even use to flight sim 🤣🤣

@@SIMRIG412 Such hostility! 4. I use the Honeycomb Alpha yoke, Thrustmaster TPR pedals and sadly the throttle from a Thrustmaster T1600M because I am still waiting on my Bravo throttle quad.... Thanks for taking the time to rage on my post though bro! ;)

I agree. I totally understand sending hardware to TH-camrs and other well-known people in advance of release to review and hype up the product. But I've noticed that many of the advanced reviews for the Honeycomb TQ have been posted by relatively unknown reviewers or people that have little to no flight sim experience. Any TH-camr that publishes videos related to flight sim that is worth sending a FREE and ADVANCE model of a high demand product that has been delayed multiple times should at least have a set of rudders and at least a basic knowledge of flight sim peripherals.

not too impressed with the 'review' im afraid. no mention of what aircraft, use of throttle etc. and too immersed in the weather. bit to wishy washy for me as whilst I appreciate the work involved, you need to be familiar with your instruments and how 'set up your hardware.

Not true, some complex aircraft the fuel system is primed with the fuel pump or primer before starting, then the engine is cranked, and mixture is introduced once the engine starts, this applies to the C182; so likely works in this aircraft as well.
