This is music to my ears. The first train had many containers from European shipping companies on board. MSC thats mediterainian shipping company from Italia, Maersk is from denmark and Hamburg Süd is from Germany. Very nice that you have captured the "spaghetti" train from above. The local from the NS was also fully suitable for the model railway with its 4 cars. Very nice that also took the local with the caboose with you. Without caboose there is something missing in your freight trains. Greetings from Berlin/ Germany. Sven
Another bunch of articulated cars. Neat. Are those rails on the flatbeds?!? The saddest sounding crossing bells......ever. Can't recall ever seeing unpainted tank cars before.
Well that's a great place to watch trains two diamonds right there by the tracks a tower boy you find the best places keep them coming got to love them diamonds
Ahh to be back there in the 1950’s when I was a school kid. NYC (Big Four), Erie and then EL, C&O,and the P Company. Passenger trains galore! My Dad had switch keys for all those RR’s.
That place looks like a fantastic place to spend the day. The unpainted tank car train was cool. I was thinking about how smooth it was going along, then came along a square wheels caboose. Totally enjoyed the video
Non-Stop action in Marion! You have the best of both worlds there with CSX and Norfolk & Southern crossing each other's tracks with those diamonds! I love these wall-to-wall train videos with constant action! Awesome rail fanning location too! Marion is the place to get great train footage!
Marion train watching never let's me down . I'm grateful to be located close to a great area for railfanning .I absoutley love the train station there . I'm into ho scale trains as well and the train shows they have there is always a favorite of mine .There is also a model railroad club there which is really cool
Marion has to be my favorite railfan hotspot. So much nonstop action it’s paradise, and listening to these big trains pounding the diamonds is sweet music to my ears, absolutely love it. And the train variety is just awesome. CSX & NS put on quite a awesome show in Marion. Thanks for sharing the experience JT, u the man!!!👍🏼🚂oh and absolutely loved the old CR caboose, really miss “Big Blue “.
Your videos never disappoint. Always some good live action. Living in Northern Michigan where trains are not common I can't get my daily dose of trains. Thank you JT.
Wow, a lot of trains! I love hearing the clicks of the diamond tracks as the trains pass, like a rhythm track. Loved seeing the horse take a dip in the lake. Really great video. Thanks, Jaw Tooth.
I wonder if they are old Bethlehem Steel Frog and Switch crossings from Steelton Pa.Frog and Switch division was from 1872 till 1992 when it closed.Cool video. That tower makes for some nice filming. Thumbs up on the video.,
@@thomasdupee1440 Ok thanks for the info. Guy that worked in the mill in Steelton went to work for Progressive in Cleveland I believe. They have a rail welding facility in Steelton also.
The pounding those diamonds must take would be incredible. The engineering that goes into them is amazing to hold up to all that, nonstop, without failures...
Wow a 37min video for a Saturday morning niiiice! Lots of great catches in this one and you snuck in that auto rack at the very end lol. Great work JT, thanks for posting 👍🏼😁🇺🇸
I know I've said it before but I love how you film and narrate the videos so us viewers feel like we are actually there. Always an amazing adventure traveling with Jawtooth..
I was in Rochelle ILL. last weekend, who says diamonds are just a GIRL's best friend ;). A rail train, cool! That looks like an excellent restoration of the depot and tower, wish it could have been done at Deshler. That looks like a nasty ouch in the rail. Those diamonds really need to be re-tamped and levelled. Phenomenal action and the model R.R. layout was a bonus, thanks!
First CSX train was just too big and long. CSX SpongeBob local crossing the diamond. I was surprised the train came. NS intermodal train the double stacks on the train is very big. NS Local crossing the diamond that was a short junk train and we're watching 10 trains oh railfanning is a fun hobby. Norfolk Southern Junk train and I know he's loaded he's going by the usual speed. I'm looking into the sunlight too and I see a NS dangerous tank train is ethanol across the diamond. I see the caboose is looking good. I guess the name radio is for the train dispatcher when the caboose was in service. I'm correct is a conrail caboose is always blue and is a long CSX dangerous tank local. Awesome train layouts and cool junky caboose also amazing details of maintenance away cars
Rail Classics magazine featured an article on Marion Ohio many years ago ( 1979 ) with an excellent article by railfan and contributing editor John Uckley titled.........." The Haunted City " with many fallen flag photos by Uckley of ConRail predecessors. Ex-Erie Lackawanna A.C. tower was still manned at that point.
If there's one thing that I can't stand, it's always those dumb gate runners they are always in a rush to go nowhere. TAKE YOUR TIME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! #StopLookandListen #SeeTracksThinkTrain
In the past, I have visited Marion, Ohio twice! It is a very cool train town. But, I was wanting to mention about another big train town that you might want to check out sometime. It is Rochelle, Illinois, which is in the north central part of the state. I’ve been up there a few times. Always well worth the visit!🤠🚂
Live action son, at the diamonds !! Very busy spot, don't have to do any train chasing there. 👍 HEY what's that ?? A caboose on the end of that train... Yup, a NYC caboose too... nice catch !! 👍 Got a lot of trains in this video son, nice nice !! 👍 Super Duper Video, 👍👍👍
That's a busy place! Lots of live action. I like the clacking of the diamonds. The CSX and NS locals was a great catch. That model train layout at the end was really cool too. Great video!
At least the tagger was very neat on that freshly painted hopper. That has to be maddening for the company to spend money or purchasing a new car, only to have some dilweed pop up and paint nonsense on their property within hours.
The way that station is situated at the intersection of three rail lines, there was probably a time when you could catch a train there that would take you almost anywhere in the country.
Back in the 50s, 60s and early 70s my dad worked for the Columbia Gas of Ohio. His repair area included parts of Marion so if I was riding with him a short stop at the depot and the diamonds. Industry was still booming with businesses such as Marion Power Shovel. It seemed like there were miles of gritty industrial buildings. We moved away to Florida in 73 and in there the Dayton branch of the Erie Lackawanna closed and removed. I often wonder if that line would have stayed had the Honda plant had been finished. Oh well, good memories anyway. Cheers Terry
It so nice to see your pets your house took a bath in your pond that was so cool to see thanks again JT ❤❤❤
Glad you enjoyed it
Nice

Guten tag to you Sven Okas.
Hello from The United States
Keep warm this winter!
CORRECTION: MSC is a Swiss shipping company headquartered in Geneva..
Thanks for watching my videos!
LOVE the rhythm of those long articulated container cars crossing the double diamonds!
Also that long string of tankers later in the video!
🤘🏼😎🤘🏼
That’s a busy place. 👍 Very nice HO(?) scale layout!

Good morning from New Orleans la 🌞☀️
Good morning!
The last train sure was smooth and quiet, also looked brand new , new engine and new tank cars , very nice!
I love hearing the train go over the diamond. Music to my ears. Marion is a very busy place. Lots of live action. Have a nice day
Don't see that every day, in fact I think it might be about the second time watching a train on a diamond.
Cheers from down under.

You trying to break a record of most trains in a video? Lol. That was slot of trains. Very awesome video. Great work
Watching from England. Can’t get enough of this. It’s Awesome. 😂
There's really a lot going on in this video. Plenty of interesting railroad action. Thanks, JT!
One of your best videos JT, thank you for posting.
So cool! You can hear the different sounds of the articulated intermodal cars vs. the coupled cars.
Awesome catches
Hey Jaw love this spot keep up the great work on the vids
Those tank cars that haven't been painted yet still have to display reporting marks and reflective conspicuity stripes per FRA/DOT regulations.

Good morning nice Diamond action have a nice weekend Jaw Tooth 🌅
Thank you! You too!
When those intermodal trains hit their destination, if each container gets taken away by a truck it must be incredibly busy there.
Loves those locomotives Looks like I am going on, to Marion yeah 👌👍😇🇺🇸
First - good morning Jawtooth! Let’s see some live action
So your first? What do you want? A gold medal? Happy 😂 to oblige 🥇and a trophy 🏆 as well
I love that elevated view from the signal box. Another great video, thanks JT👍
Trains Galore! I would imagine those diamonds require constant maintenance. Thanks Brian.
Very true! I see them tightening bolts every time I go there
Great location the diamonds great freight great video thanks jaw tooth
Thanks 👍
I love the rhythm of those diamonds!
Always enjoy railroad diamond music! Very cool location and so many trains. I would camp there for a week :)
You and me both!
An amazing sight, the horse and bath!

Nice combination of trains locals and long through trains plus the station complex nice trip
Thanks a lot 😊
Great video! That town is hopping! And I love that the town invested in an observation tower for rail fans - wish we had one where I live. Thanks JT!

One thing about it those crossing are noisy
I'll say they are
The diamond frogs have been replaced at least twice since 1992. They're likely from Progress Rail Services.
@@thomasdupee1440 Ok thanks for the info. Guy that worked in the mill in Steelton went to work for Progressive in Cleveland I believe. They have a rail welding facility in Steelton also.
Great 👍 👌 nice 👌 to start the weekend like this the Dimonds pretty great place 2 see the trains 🚆 😀 👍 👌 nice caboose
Thank you very much!
Impressive video of the diamond action in Marion. Love the shots from above. Nice job !!!
Why don't you the people that put on the video count the train cars and compare them with other trains
Nice to see some of those sea land cars on the first train also nice YN2 leader on that rail train caboose and CNW hoppers
Found your homestead on google maps..You all are blessed.. beautiful place!!!!
Excellent catches! I would love to see that shoving platform while it's working.

Glad you enjoyed it
Love centerbeam cars; 7 full 4 empty, a few cryotrans and caboose! No DPU icu, horse loves water and hidden Norfie!!🥰
Did you catch the one that had the canvas straps rather than the usual wire rope that holds the load in place that was in the mega eb frt?

Those tank cars looked like they were headed to the paint shop a minute mark 28:19. No Keystone XL, then the railroad gets the business.
