I love achievement hunting, but sometimes I see achievements like this and I have unbelievable respect for someone like yourself for getting it. Let alone attempting it more than once. I could never. My patience would be lost probably on my first death. So you sir are an absolute Chad for that alone. Edit: I just noticed it was only 10G. What an insult to all those injuries lol
The 10G for this is nuts. I think its like 30G for beating normal, so it feels like having some fart flavored water when you're dying of thirst, definitely not cool lol
I completed it my first go and man. The nerves really get to you😭. The i interpret the 10Gs being symbolism for Max doing such a great feat that even if he didnt get a reward for it; but the accomplishment and joy after going through that gauntlet.
My favorite part of this channel is not that you hunt achievements, but when you try to play games on HARDCORE difficulty! It reqs some STEEL balls. And ofc the fact that you explain everything that happens in the story :) Mad respect!
Bruh you did this on a gamepad holy shit, Good job, you achievement channels are insanely inspirational and informative. Much better than a long play I'm currently grinding Score Attack and that shit is making my chest hairy.
Congrats on getting the achievement, you played well and fought hard. I remember when i did this challenge but on PC. Which is easier with aiming but it tends to crash a lot. I have played Max Payne 3 so many times that i began to discover many exploits, spawn manipulation and shortcuts. One that could have been more useful for you is the rapid fire exploit. Max doesn't have any reload animations while shoot dodging so you can empty a magazine and fill it mid jump. But thats not all. While in a shoot dodge you shoot slower, right? But if you reload it resets that sort of cool down. Meaning you can shoot one shot reload and shoot again and if you are fast enough you can pump out a insane amout of lead. Very good for armored enemies but you deplete your ammo faster. Sort of a risk vs reward exploit.
I wish I could've used a mouse and keyboard for this, but if it was crashing, I would've been so frustrated, so I'll stand by the decision lol After I finished this challenge, I watched some speed runs, and I definitely noticed some rapid fire going on. I just assumed it was a mouse and keyboard thing, but I didn't realize it was intentional. The one thing I definitely could've done more was use the shoot dodge, but I just felt like I'd get smoked with my controller aim 😂
It is ten-thousand times worse when you're doing attempting something challenging and you don't succeed not even because YOU failed, but the GAME did. Mad props for this Achievement!
My Proudest Hardest Trophy/Platinum I Earned was The Evil Within (Pure Evil, Platinum) all because of the Akumu Difficulty (You Asked for it , Gold) where Every Enemy No Matter How Big or Small they Are Instantly Kills You In One Hit and Less Ammo
Akumu mode sounds so savage. I definitely want to try that at some point since I've never played the game before. Congrats on the crazy platinum, that's a great one to have in the collection
Passo's isn't an ex cop. He at least didn't even know Max. During the yacht mission you go to Passo's room and spot a post it note with Max's name on it and where he lives. The information he was given by Victor, presumably. Also, De Silva said to Max after Max said we knew each other at the academy, "Did you really?" Max was so drunk and fucked up during the whole thing that he couldn't even tell people were head hunting him to be a fall guy. Just a few details most players miss is all. It's amazing how many people think that Passo's knew Max. He didn't.
I'm fairly certain Passos is an ex cop. It's been awhile since I played through the game, but I just double checked on the Wiki and it confirms that. So I think you might have that detail wrong, but I think you are right about the first time they actually met being much later than the academy. It's been so long since I've played the game, so I can't really remember the fine details

5:54 I encountered that glitch on the final level of hardcore. I got into last stand and I freaked out because I almost missed that window to kill the shooter. Luckily I hit it and got back up to finish the run as my first time doing it. This game was not built to speedrun😭 Congrats bro! This is no little feat!

Nice luck being able to do this with only few attempts, and nice skills being able to do this at all. I struggled a lot more, and gone through quite a few attempts that ended with a bug or game crash, these are the most frustrating, 'cause it's not even your fault, the game was just having a bad day. One of the most challenging achievements, for sure. I grinded the hell out of MP3 and knew it by heart, yet, the random glitch or insta-death scenario were the bane of my existance for that achievement. PS: Max can swim - but as some cutscenes imply, falling in the water with armed goons around you kinda means you're dead.
The fact that you can't skip them is brutal haha. They suck less in this mode since between level ones ont happen, but not being able to skip them is dust

Attempted to go for this achievement as a completionist back in 2013. Furthest I got at the time was the 2nd flasback sequence where I got one shot taking cover by a grenade launcher. Eventually moved on to other games but even to this day I still have my copy for 360 and intend to get around to getting this done. Just finding the free time to relearn the entire game again, especially with such a constant building backlog. This achievement was no joke.
13:46. So I finished this today, got to the hotel twice . First time killed myself with the Grenade launcher. Seeing you recommend and use it is giving me ptsd.
I'm pretty sure I had this achievement from back in the day. Great game, I really loved the gunplay in it. The multiplayer was really good too, unfortunately I was quite late to it (most people had moved on to GTAV) and couldn't get all achievements.

This brings back memories... I managed to die to every QTE, the UFE APC, the second gatling gun guy... and a million bugs that aren't in the main game. I never finished it 😢
4:45 to be fair that was kind of self defence. Those idiot gangsters were waving guns around and threatening people in addition to smacking the woman. I don’t think it’s unreasonable to shoot someone simply for pointing a gun at you and/or other innocent people.
My favorite 100% was test drive unlimited. The map was modeled after a real-life Hawaiian island. In an era where not every piece of a game is uploaded to TH-cam i watched a real life drive of trail instead. I was mind blown it worked.
Took me dozens of attempts. Not sure what version you played, but this was a 2-disc long physical copy, swapping when you get to the office level. I started making a daily journal of my failed attempts on TA to keep my sanity. So many bugs. Got to the final sequence and had to take a breather because my shots kept missing the plane. Cried from the shock* of almost choking and finally finishing it.
I bought the game digitally, so I didn't have to swap discs at all, thankfully lol. I had actually read about someone's failed attempts due to glitches, and I was so scared I was gunna have that problem too. I wouldn't wish that on anyone, cause god damn that would be frustrating You had some insane dedication for doing it that way and muscling through the bugs. Congrats!
It took me about 20 tries to do it. I got to the final hangar shootout and died 2 or 3 times..it SUCKED!!! When I finally got it and had to hit that airplane.. my heart was absolutely pounding!!! When I got it... it was more a relief than anything. The adrenaline rush lasted for about 5 to 10 minutes.
My proudest achievement is the Auld Lang Syne trophy in Bioshock Infinite, I initially went in as a joke thinking I’d get decimated in the first enemy encounter but it was surprisingly easy, that’s when I realised I can do it. The worst part was the good time club level, it took me THREE DAYS to get past, there were times where I’d get frustrated and take a few hours off the game to play MGS1. I did it within a week after the game launched, I was so happy and that got me fired up for any challenge just don’t get me started on FFXIV’s Feast of Famine quest😅 I also got the Scavenger Hunt trophy on the same run, it is very easy to get. I relied on scavenging for stuff in levels and accessing secret rooms for extra goodies.
These are some fun picks! 1999 mode wasn't too bad if I remember it correctly, but there were definitely unfair parts. I haven't played FFXIV in a long time, so I have no idea if I did that quest lmao, but it sounds like a doozy
The infamous quest is Feast of Famine, a level 50 fishing quest that is unlocked after completing the quest, The Beast of Brewer’s Beacon. I did this quest post HW launch for the new skills and my god the RNG is horrific lmao. The quest requires you to catch six rare fish in different spots of the ARR locations, each with a spawn requirement depending on the in game time and weather but you have to pray hard to RNGesus to get them as it goes wild here. Completing the quest nets you, aetheryte tickets, bait and the Imagine Dragon achievement which gives you the title “Of Dragon’s Deep” for completing the quest.
11:03 My proudest achivement is Queen Hatschepsut in Serious Sam 3 BFE where you need to best the final level, on the hardest difficulty (Serious) without dying or loading a save. It is not as impressive as your perma death runs since the level is only an estimated 80 minutes long but the 1500 enemies + Final bossfight still made this challenging for me.
It is, my game also crashed if I paused it for too long, so I couldn't take brakes. Finished it after like 10th try, took about 2.5 hours, but I was really proud of it
I'm not even sure how I did it. I just did. And also I get a bit tense at the zipline bit in the Panama stage due to an instance of getting downed and stuck on the rope forever.@@morgansbasement
My proudest achievement in gaming? 100 percenting the achievement list on RE3Remake. Very proud as well that I have 3 left to go in RE2 REmake. Got em, Lore explorer, and hell of a sheriff and the tofu runs left to do.
The devs from Max Payne 3 thought: " GTAI V is nice but nobody actually needed cover or struggled in that game. Lets change that" :) Imagine if that game had randomized enemiy spawns or even more difficultie. After that Achievement you truly feel max pain :) I tried to replay this game last year and also encountert some game- breaking bugs, thankfully I wasnt even thinking about Permadeath runs.
Dude if I couldn't download the enemy locations after playing the game twice to unlock this mode, I would've died so many more times LOL. I've never played Max Payne 3 before, nor am I an avid achievement hunter, but that frustration was so familiar. See, my brother and I had a specific term for sequences present in all Rockstar games - we referred to them simply as 'Rockstar Moments'. This was kind of a catch-all term for extremely frustrating points you could find in pretty much all of their games. Whether they were ridiculous difficulty spikes in otherwise easy games (PS2 era GTA games were great at this); vehicle/escort sections that sucked because of janky, undercooked mechanics; arbitrary but punishing time constraints; random, mission-ending glitches; poorly placed save points, or really anything else that made you go "that's some bullshit." The effect of the Rockstar Moment is always the same and it can be observed clearly in the video. For the first few seconds you are in disbelief as you get the lingering feeling that the developer broke an implied level of trust between you and them, then you grow frustrated and wonder why you're even playing this piece of junk in the first place, but the next day you realize you must soldier on because conquering this game is the only thing that'll make the nightmares stop. Nearly every death you suffered was a certified Rockstar Moment. So, mad respect.

I've finished this thing a couple of days ago. Took me 15 tries. 🤣 And the 14th run was the most frustrating, cause that time I've died in the luggage area in the beginning of the final chapter.

The game and story are really good. If you're not an account completionist, I highly recommend picking it up. The available achievements are still fun to scoop up
My proudest achievement is in max Payne 3 and it’s a license to kill which you get by unlocking all the golden gun parts and I did this on my pc and on my Xbox and it took 3 days of grinding
Once you know the enemy layout of each of the levels its not too hard.I asked Rockstar support about the difficulty level of New York Minute Hardcore,and they said it has the Medium difficulty level.

I'm pretty sure I had this achievement from back in the day. Great game, I really loved the gunplay in it. The multiplayer was really good too, unfortunately I was quite late to it (most people had moved on to GTAV) and couldn't get all achievements.
I wish I had gotten to play the multiplayer. I definitely would've grinded it out if I had played it on release

I tried couple times, but after I faced a glitch on the graveyard scene that the car didnt render and I died because I was "ran over" a non-existent car, I finally gave up...
This brings back memories... I managed to die to every QTE, the UFE APC, the second gatling gun guy... and a million bugs that aren't in the main game. I never finished it 😢

My favorite 100% was test drive unlimited. The map was modeled after a real-life Hawaiian island. In an era where not every piece of a game is uploaded to TH-cam i watched a real life drive of trail instead. I was mind blown it worked.

Took me dozens of attempts. Not sure what version you played, but this was a 2-disc long physical copy, swapping when you get to the office level. I started making a daily journal of my failed attempts on TA to keep my sanity. So many bugs. Got to the final sequence and had to take a breather because my shots kept missing the plane. Cried from the shock* of almost choking and finally finishing it.
I bought the game digitally, so I didn't have to swap discs at all, thankfully lol. I had actually read about someone's failed attempts due to glitches, and I was so scared I was gunna have that problem too. I wouldn't wish that on anyone, cause god damn that would be frustrating
You had some insane dedication for doing it that way and muscling through the bugs. Congrats!
It took me about 20 tries to do it. I got to the final hangar shootout and died 2 or 3 times..it SUCKED!!! When I finally got it and had to hit that airplane.. my heart was absolutely pounding!!! When I got it... it was more a relief than anything. The adrenaline rush lasted for about 5 to 10 minutes.
Because of the all the glitches I read about, I was so relieved to finish lol. You and I are in the same boat haha

My proudest achievement is the Auld Lang Syne trophy in Bioshock Infinite, I initially went in as a joke thinking I’d get decimated in the first enemy encounter but it was surprisingly easy, that’s when I realised I can do it. The worst part was the good time club level, it took me THREE DAYS to get past, there were times where I’d get frustrated and take a few hours off the game to play MGS1. I did it within a week after the game launched, I was so happy and that got me fired up for any challenge just don’t get me started on FFXIV’s Feast of Famine quest😅
I also got the Scavenger Hunt trophy on the same run, it is very easy to get. I relied on scavenging for stuff in levels and accessing secret rooms for extra goodies.
These are some fun picks! 1999 mode wasn't too bad if I remember it correctly, but there were definitely unfair parts. I haven't played FFXIV in a long time, so I have no idea if I did that quest lmao, but it sounds like a doozy
The infamous quest is Feast of Famine, a level 50 fishing quest that is unlocked after completing the quest, The Beast of Brewer’s Beacon. I did this quest post HW launch for the new skills and my god the RNG is horrific lmao. The quest requires you to catch six rare fish in different spots of the ARR locations, each with a spawn requirement depending on the in game time and weather but you have to pray hard to RNGesus to get them as it goes wild here. Completing the quest nets you, aetheryte tickets, bait and the Imagine Dragon achievement which gives you the title “Of Dragon’s Deep” for completing the quest.

11:03 My proudest achivement is Queen Hatschepsut in Serious Sam 3 BFE where you need to best the final level, on the hardest difficulty (Serious) without dying or loading a save.
It is not as impressive as your perma death runs since the level is only an estimated 80 minutes long but the 1500 enemies + Final bossfight still made this challenging for me.
Serious Sam games are pretty SERIOUS, so that's a great achievement to be proud of!
It is, my game also crashed if I paused it for too long, so I couldn't take brakes. Finished it after like 10th try, took about 2.5 hours, but I was really proud of it

My proudest achievement in gaming? 100 percenting the achievement list on RE3Remake. Very proud as well that I have 3 left to go in RE2 REmake. Got em, Lore explorer, and hell of a sheriff and the tofu runs left to do.
You have to play through RE3 like 4 times to get them all, that's a pretty good completion in my book. Well done!
The devs from Max Payne 3 thought: " GTAI V is nice but nobody actually needed cover or struggled in that game. Lets change that" :) Imagine if that game had randomized enemiy spawns or even more difficultie. After that Achievement you truly feel max pain :)
I tried to replay this game last year and also encountert some game- breaking bugs, thankfully I wasnt even thinking about Permadeath runs.
Dude if I couldn't download the enemy locations after playing the game twice to unlock this mode, I would've died so many more times LOL. My short term memory is so good for these types of things, and if you take it away I'm screwed lmao

I had to look that game up, and I think it looks really cool. I'm a huge fan of the aesthetic. I recently completed my first difficult platformer, and I'd say it's my favorite completion too
I've never played Max Payne 3 before, nor am I an avid achievement hunter, but that frustration was so familiar.
See, my brother and I had a specific term for sequences present in all Rockstar games - we referred to them simply as 'Rockstar Moments'. This was kind of a catch-all term for extremely frustrating points you could find in pretty much all of their games. Whether they were ridiculous difficulty spikes in otherwise easy games (PS2 era GTA games were great at this); vehicle/escort sections that sucked because of janky, undercooked mechanics; arbitrary but punishing time constraints; random, mission-ending glitches; poorly placed save points, or really anything else that made you go "that's some bullshit."
The effect of the Rockstar Moment is always the same and it can be observed clearly in the video. For the first few seconds you are in disbelief as you get the lingering feeling that the developer broke an implied level of trust between you and them, then you grow frustrated and wonder why you're even playing this piece of junk in the first place, but the next day you realize you must soldier on because conquering this game is the only thing that'll make the nightmares stop. Nearly every death you suffered was a certified Rockstar Moment. So, mad respect.

It's a shame the multiplayer achievements are unobtainable but still looks like a great game to check out.
The game and story are really good. If you're not an account completionist, I highly recommend picking it up. The available achievements are still fun to scoop up

Once you know the enemy layout of each of the levels its not too hard.I asked Rockstar support about the difficulty level of New York Minute Hardcore,and they said it has the Medium difficulty level.
