I love Inquisition but the first chunk till you get to lvl 10 and get to Skyhold is such a slog, especially on nightmare. The hinterland suuuuucks but it's just absolutely necessary to do everything for every little scrap of XP in order to survive.

Even when your camera battery runs out, you still have a weaker version of the nightvision that costs no battery. It's been a while since I played, but I remember using that a lot during my playthrough, because on higher difficulties, I was afraid I'd run out of batteries when I most needed them. I remember I got a lot of mileage out of that and I think I only recharged because I found more batteries than I could carry. Couldn't you still use that for the achievement?

DUDE! You should totally play Wolfenstein Old Blood on Mein Leban difficulty. Its not as hard or long as Wolfenstein 2 New Colossus but its still a challenge!!

It's called "Mein Leben" difficulty because in the original Wolfenstein 3d game from the 90s (which I used to play) when you shot the SS officers they would shout "Mein Leben!"

Well, I mean... there's a speedrun tech that allows you to skip almost the entire game by clipping through some corner outside of the building early on and fall into one of the last rooms of the game. I think that could've made this significantly easier if you know how to pull if off :P (Yeah, I know that would be missing the point of this challenge)

Nightmare is only hard if you make it hard. What I mean by that, is more than any other mode, nightmare isn’t forgiving to all builds. And all NPC’s for that matter. You really have to be deliberate with your choices. I’ve run builds where it was like pulling teeth. But then you have builds like the Artificer Archer rogue which are absolutely broken. I’m just trying it now with almost all trials on. I only used Walk Softly for the dragon fight that comes with the achievement because frankly I’m tired of fighting without Varric who is always dying, and the only time I’m going to use Even Ground is for the other dragon fight achievement. That’s just for annoyance factor. I don’t mind fighting equal NPC’s if there is value, but it becomes so tedious and slow to have to kill oversized junk mobs like nugs. The game is already too grindly with the over reliance on search and collect quests, I don’t need to exponentially increase the time I spend on the game because it’s going to take me several mins to kill something that should take one basic arrow. The biggest boon to any nightmare run is the Golden Nug. If you’re a purist who needs to play with level 1 crap, all the power too you. But when I’m in haven you know I’m building the best items I can with iron and nug skins. And then progressively making better versions as the game progresses. I’m just sad there isn’t a schematic for the trespasser weapon that causes bees because I would totally make that run happen in nightmare for the fun of it. Imagine that and the Wedge of Destiny. Could have been a lot of fun. But in then end nightmare is 100% dependant on how you set yourself up. You should already have planned your progression to get to specific milestones as quickly as possible. My artificer archer for instance before I got the specialization had a lot of trouble with basic mobs early as one would expect. But once I hit the combo pieces necessary to really make her shine, she started to absolutely wreck content she had no business beating. I went down to the deep roads Descent DLC for fun to get access to the shop, and then proceeded to destroy almost all of it as a level 10. Next best tip, always have a sword and board warrior in your party with the ability to generate tonnes of guard. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve been in major drawn out fights and it’s just me and Blackwall because my other DPS party members won’t stop dying, even with top gear on because they’re not intuitive enough to get away from dangerous attacks. But Nightmare isn’t forgiving to random specification choices and it seems like some builds just aren’t as viable for survivability. Yet there are definitely builds that can absolutely wreck the content. For instance I just killed some level 20 dragons with my level 12 AA with very little effort. Side note: fair weather friends is much easier than it looks. 1) Side with mages (templars are a bit more difficult for some party members to stomach) 2) get to Skyhold as quickly as you’re able 3) don’t collect spare party members until you have to. Varric, Solas and Cassandra will never leave the party. So try to roll with them until you complete. 4) don’t judge prisoners until completed. 5) when the Wicked Hearts mission pops up on your map, collect all remaining party members. Go to the door before the table and save. 6) start the wicked hearts quest and go to the palace. As soon as you complete the opening conversation, you’ll get the achievement. Don’t worry about your level being too low. That’s why you saved first. Once you have the achievement you can back track your save and go back to the palace when you feel more comfortable for the content level. But at least you can turn off the trial at that point and never deal with it again with your achievement in hand.

You should do gta or red dead 2 those are a challenge, but I would love to see you do them

After watching the base game 4 fails... I can see why it took you between DLC 1 and 2 17 fails, as you said you were a bit rusty, but the 3rd DLC was just an easy 1st try with the knowledge of the game stuff in your hands again, not to mention that attempting to have always the high ground really makes encounters a bit easier. I enjoyed those two videos.

Nightmare isnt that hard... i got the Platinum, BUT, i never managed to beat DAO on Nightmare

I would never play this game on Hard, let alone on Nightmare. Main reason, the combat is pretty trash at times. I have had so many moments(i'm still playing it) where allies freeze like this 5:42, dont do enough damage, get stuck or simply dont follow my command. The enemy A.I is relentless in this game and dont make the same mistakes our characters do and will scale to your level which makes it even more difficult. To complete this game on Nightmare, you must know which enemy is where, who to bring, what to forge, where to find it designs and each and every enemy's weakness. That's a lot of hassle for a normal gamer so guy's dont bother doing it.

This is the type of achievement hunting I like to see. Getting millions of gamerscore on easy games that take 30 minutes to complete have seemed to taken over the popular community uploads.

I never played Inqusition in other difficulty than nightmare... It is not the hardest game... I don't play Souls games because of that but Inquisition no problem (of course I died several times...)

This game compared to veilguard is just sad. Veilguard looks like it was written by AI and there is almost no character in that game. Inquisition got alot of hate from og dragon age fans but tbh I would prefer another Inquisition to the trash that is veilguard
