Well I think Ford screwed up but can fix it for the refresh model. They nailed it with the looks and the power, but they need to get rid of the GT’s manual once and for all and give us a proper manual transmission. The infotainment/gauge cluster needs to be less laggy, but I like the idea. The steering just needs to be rebuilt by Ford from the ground up, like just build a better, more responsive, and more sports car like steering system. The last thing is that whatever price each new V8 Mustang is, reduce it by 10-15 grand and the thing will sell like hot cakes.
@@crazymonkey60123 Ford tends to save the real updates for when they refresh their cars. The 5.0 in the 2015 mustang was pretty much carried over from the previous gen, but for the 2018 refresh it was updated. The 2024 mustang GT didn't change much, so I'd expect big changes when they refresh it

Ben you are right on with your assessment, it comes down to price and numbness of the driving experience. The gt350 and gt500 are better cars especially the GT350 it’s a pure drivers car.
Why do you need steering feedback when driving at legal speeds on normal roads ? It is only useful when pushing the car to its limits on track, to be able to detect those limits. On normal roads there should be enough steering feedback to know the car is going straight just by feel, without having to look if it keep the straight lane, because that gets tiring (that's where BMW 2-series fails miserably). And nobody complains about that aspect of new Mustang's steering, which tells me it is acceptable for everyday driving.

If i had to choose on outside design base mode. The mustang 2019 gt looks bulky, rough and tough. Front end looks much better than the refresh version of the 2021 front end. Even the gt500 2019 model looks better than the 2024 gt500 mustang. The 2021 mustang gt looks ok, but the front end looks out of place. The 2024 looks less aggressive and reminds me of a camaro base model ss.
The price is insane, the manual GT with the mt82 should not even exist as others have pointed out. F bodies got a tremec in 1993 🤣🤣🤣 The dark horse package is offensively priced...its tires, brakes and some appearance items. The only real upgrade is the tremec 🤣 the infotainment sucks, the weight is outrageous, build quality is awful. Pretty sad that this the only v8 manual besides the ct5-v. What an awful death to a legacy.
I don't see myself buying the new generation because of the screen(s). It's not just Mustang, but a lot of car manufacturers that are jamming in screens as an afterthought to compete with tech of evs. It would just cost too much or maybe it's not technically/mechanically/financially feasible to properly integrate it into the dash? Anyhow, i'm trying to find a 2022/2023 model for now, Maybe they'll make the Mustang a true electric vehicle in the future and not the bastardized version the Mach-e is, but the way that's selling and the ev market as a whole currently, i don't see that happening. If it does happen, it'll make the Mustang unattainable to most.
This is now the only American muscle car in production since the discontinuation of the Camaro and Challenger. But be grateful, Ford insists in keeping the Mustang and its V8 in production and will keep fighting with the government to do so. If it wasn’t for Ford, American muscle cars would’ve been feared to go extinct sooner or later. Also, the Charger was the only American 4-door muscle car and Ford has officially considered a 4-door sedan variant of the Mustang with the same powertrain; just a much longer body and rear doors. This means American 4-door muscle cars could be resurrected and stay alive as well for those who want both performance and room for the family.
Price. The Mustang is a wonderful car. But like so many, it has been loaded up with tech, racing levels of power, braking, and suspension. A far, far different mission than the original Mustang, built off of the Falcon platform to be an AFFORDABLE sporty car for the masses.
7 manual 2024 GT’s sitting at my local Ford dealer for weeks-months…the 2024 is a flop IMO…I test drove one with the recaro seats…I agree Ben on the comfortability of them…I ended the test drive early bc I was squished lol. I previously owned a widebody scatpack challenger shaker manual. I’d get another challenger before I’d get a Mustang hands down…and the irony of it all. Ford raised prices on the 2025’s…
That was my favorite year model too. My husband traded mine in on his Shelby and bought me the crappy 2022 model. I just traded the 22 for the dark horse and compared to the 22 the dark horse is way better. The only thing I would love is if the dark horse had the 20's steering.
@@amyflanagan2896 how's the insurance? Mine more than tripled over night for no reason. Perfect driving record for over 20 years. My 20 was almost perfect. @BluRadoZ71 I have owned one or 2 Mustangs for the last 5 years. I had not owned anything other than a mom car since I sold my 88 Mustang GT when my first child was born in 98. One of my Mustangs is a 20 Shelby. My insurance went up approximately 70 bucks per month when I changed from my Mustang from a GT premium to the Dark Horse. You don't know how to drive the Dark Horse. I've got the 2024 Dark Horse Premium and I've smoked Dodges and imports over and over. The 10 speed makes a difference. You have to know how to configure the car to really get the most out of the car. Try the handling at 140mph!
It costs too much new and these things plummit in price after about 5 years so you can now find a 2019 for maybe 30k. So it makes no sense to pay 60k for that.
You guys act like Ford throws competitive pricing to the wind and just throws numbers out there. They are aware of the competition and price accordingly. If the get it wrong, wait for the rebates and 0% financing.
Because it's not tunable. The mustang is a hobbyist car. People want to build them put headers put e85 take then drag racing. Without it being tunable it's just another car that isn't any better then any other car and cost more .
I am a mustang fantic. Always loved mustangs but dislike the 24 plus. It looks too much like the camaro and the iPad dash kills it for me. Maybe ford will realize this and make changes
It looks like they copied the outgoing Camaro Gen6 styling in terms of the exact hood mounted heat extractor and quarter panels. Has a great exhaust note, not a fan of the huge screen. More to go wrong over the long-term. For the price point I would prefer a new Corvette C8 1LT.

The car market is about 20% overpriced. Let’s see what the market looks like same time next year.
F bodies got a tremec in 1993 🤣🤣🤣
The dark horse package is offensively priced...its tires, brakes and some appearance items. The only real upgrade is the tremec 🤣 the infotainment sucks, the weight is outrageous, build quality is awful. Pretty sad that this the only v8 manual besides the ct5-v. What an awful death to a legacy.
if you use those emojis you're like 9
@@EnderEnergy even at 8, I knew the mt82 was ass. On my ninth birthday I wrote this comment 🤣
I usually hate clickbait titles but its kind of true. they are sitting for 6+ months at lots of dealerships.
I hit 140 with ease in my GT last week...i guess stability is now "numb"??
I don't understand why Ford only gave that car 500hp. 650 would've made a huge difference 😊
It's a shame they don't disclose why it was traded in. Some hidden gremlin in there that you won't notice until it is too late.
Owner got bored of it
@@BenHardyCars I guess they should have bought a Bugatti - That Mustang would be like being bored of owning a Hellcat.
I call bs,no one gets bored after just 1000 miles@@BenHardyCars
1000 miles theyd lemon it to get 100% of the money back vs trading it in
Imagine that dash screen after a few years, scratched, smudged with dead areas.
There is no comparison to nyc best city in the world nice reveiw
Price. The Mustang is a wonderful car. But like so many, it has been loaded up with tech, racing levels of power, braking, and suspension. A far, far different mission than the original Mustang, built off of the Falcon platform to be an AFFORDABLE sporty car for the masses.
Such wheels or very similar on Amazon, $300.00 +/- each.
Yep! That is crazy inexpensive. 🙄
i love my GT Performance 6M. going to get a ford performance super charger for it soon - 800hp 😀
That’s sad that you wanna be slower with a cheaper interior , nothing is more worst than uconnect 3 😂
Most people hate the new Mustang? Pulled that statistic out of your arse.
Price, and the big ugly screen is the problem with these new mustangs!!!
Hey nobody hates them
I miss my 2020
That was my favorite year model too.
All blacked out, lowered with track suspension. Only thing I didn't like is I bought the auto just so my daughter can drive it. Never again lol.
Now, when my husband and I bought the Shelby, that was the sticker shock for us because it tripled then. Being a kid free home now, I don't have to worry about having a teenager on my policy. I can't imagine what I would be paying if I had one on my policy. 😬
@@amyflanagan2896 insurance is ridiculous. I really miss them. I had a 16, 19, and 20 GTs
Pre owned still at 60k is insane.
Ford mustang is a cool sport car l like it
Great price on that spec!
S550 looks better than this generation and looking to getting s550 mach 1
DH is a bad ass machine. with a wipple SS its a greater machine.
You don't know how to drive the Dark Horse. I've got the 2024 Dark Horse Premium and I've smoked Dodges and imports over and over. The 10 speed makes a difference. You have to know how to configure the car to really get the most out of the car. Try the handling at 140mph!
Everybody hates the Mustang? So all the people who do like the Mustang, secretly hate it? Interesting.
Wrong. Click bate. Not everyone hates the DH.
It costs too much new and these things plummit in price after about 5 years so you can now find a 2019 for maybe 30k. So it makes no sense to pay 60k for that.
Id buy that car it's so bad ass I'll take it .
You guys act like Ford throws competitive pricing to the wind and just throws numbers out there. They are aware of the competition and price accordingly. If the get it wrong, wait for the rebates and 0% financing.
I'm curious on what they traded for.. 🤔
Because it's not tunable. The mustang is a hobbyist car. People want to build them put headers put e85 take then drag racing. Without it being tunable it's just another car that isn't any better then any other car and cost more .
The funny part is that the car I wanna get 🤣 but I need to the funds 😂
I hate the back-end. Looks weird. And digital gauges are just cheezy.
Bad ass car!!
