I'm morbidly obese and I watch Natacha for the science and motivation. I have tried her recipes, workouts, the abundance idea (meals with high volume but low calorie) and I started going out for walks nearly everyday....in two months, I'm down 16 inches mostly from my waist and 25 lbs. This woman knows what she is doing! Once I'm leaner or when I plateau I plan to try her Cut program. PS Her lime, maple syrup water is great. I suggest putting the limes in the water overnight to boost the flavor (lemons work too)!

    Dear Natacha,
I wanted to take a moment to express my deep admiration for you as a person and for your unwavering dedication to pushing women-based research in sport and health. It is truly inspiring to see someone like you fighting for equal representation and shedding light on the significant gap in studies conducted on men versus women, with only 6% focusing on the latter.
Your commitment to this cause is commendable, and it gives hope to many individuals who have long felt overlooked and underrepresented. I am grateful for the positive impact you have made on my own mental health. Whenever I find myself feeling defeated or spiraling into negative thinking patterns, I turn to your content, and it never fails to uplift me and make me feel better.
I want to specifically thank you for being a tremendous source of inspiration in my journey towards overcoming anorexia. Your strength and resilience have helped me shift my mindset from a place of sickness to one of fitness. You gave me hope when I needed it most and taught me to trust in the process of healing and self-improvement.
Your work and your message have had a profound impact on my life, and I will forever be grateful for the role you played in my recovery. Please continue to be the beacon of light and motivation that so many of us look up to. Your voice and advocacy are making a significant difference, and I hope you realize just how much of a positive influence you are in the lives of countless individuals.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
    Sincerely, Skylar

Skylar 🤍 hello my friend (: what an incredible soul and personality you have. I want to start with your recovery and to tell you how proud of you I am, because you should know that without a shadow of a doubt. Healing and believing in yourself enough to go through the messy, heavy journey is a big thing. Even just believing it's possible is a testament to you: not everybody does.
Fitness and self-improvement from a place of exploration and love are just some of the best gifts on the planet and I'm beyond happy that you've found them. You've done an incredible, inspiring thing for yourself and I know you're on the way to growing into the natural next step and the most fulfilling part: contributing to something bigger than yourself and helping other people through tough times that life dealt them through no fault of their own.
You have so much to contribute and bring to the world now. So much talent and perspective on how tough things can be! I hope you live that life to it's fullest!! So much love 🤍

Dear Natacha, it's easy to think, not to write a nice comment, because there are so many people saying similar-ish things. But on the other hand I know, what feedback means so I just wanted to let you know, what a huge inspiration and motivation you are for me.
A couple of weeks I started watching your videos, watched probably a couple hundreds and I enjoyed every single minute of it - even the science, which isn't so much my thing 😅
I feel its hard finding people on social media, who share so authentically and honestly, with so much passion and joy what they stand for, as you do. You inspired me, to sign up for my first half marathon, setting myself a goal that I never thought I could or would want to reach, since I thought all of my life, that I'm not a runner and not even a sports person at all.
I implemented quiet a few tipps from your running videos in my training and I feel they've been the most helpful out of all the things I've watched.
I'm totally rooting for your own 100 miles journey, I'm sure you'll smash it and I wish you all the best for it!
Thanks for your amazing work ❤

hey my friend 🤍 I take time to read each comment and to take on the things you like and don't enjoy as much, so thank you for taking a second. The feedback really is very valuable, you're totally right.
What incredible and inspiring news about your half marathon!! That is such a mental transformation you have accomplished. I hope you keep that close and remember it any time you ever tell yourself you can't do something elsewhere in life. For me, that's what fitness is for (: I am so proud of you and never would have doubted you for a second: you would have faced very strong resistance if you ever told me you're not a runner 😂
I hope you just go out and have fun. Whether you finish or not, whether your time is what you wanted or not, all that matters is that you had fun and believed in yourself!! 👏 Thank you for everything and for your support. I'll be thinking of it on my run!

Side note; the smiling section of the video reminded me of Phily Bowden! I always considered myself someone who couldn’t run and didn’t like to run but thanks to your videos I recently was able to run 1.75 mile which doesn’t seem like a lot but for some one who could barely run for 2 minutes straight this is a huge accomplishment. I’m hoping to continue and work my way up to running a 5k by the end of the year. I’m also grateful for the fact that you’re spreading awareness for endometriosis, last last month I found out that I have it and it’s been really painful and stressful. Anyway you’re an amazing role model and I hope you know what an inspiration you are❤️

Your encouragement and “can do anything” attitude got me to attempt my first every ultra! It was a 50k Saturday. I didn’t get to complete it bc an aid station worker mistakenly told me I was past the cutoff and in my foggy “22miles in” mind I didn’t argue I just said ok and cried. That cost me my goal but I still set a PR for distance and left with grit to hit the trails again! It won’t escape me next time and I have learned a lot from that experience! Especially about being more confident in my abilities and standing up for myself. Thank you!

If I could tell you one thing to help, it's that progress and change come from the quality of your movement and not from the volume. Resting and eating unlock quality, and without them you'd be pumping out quantity that isn't valuable to creating the adaptations you want. I believe in you, every little small challenge against that guilt is a huge step and you will be free of it 🤍

Another AMAZING video!! You hit on some of the reasons I love ultras... it's possibly the only sport where women can compete equally with men, often in the top 10 or even winning outright. Many top performers are in their 30s and 40s. It's fun to get out and explore, like being a kid again. And while you'll rarely ever see people training for a marathon stop to smell flowers, admire views, or chat with a stranger, these things are completely normal in the ultra world! It's such a serious challenge that we work hard for, but we don't take it so seriously as to strip away the enjoyment. Camille Herron is incredible, and gives such motivation to those of us "average" ladies who still want to consider ourselves athletes in our 40s and beyond. And carbs, of course... it was great to hear the physio talking about the importance of carbs in training/ performance. I think they made a great choice in presenters... you truly represent women in such a wonderful way, with strength, beauty, determination, and intelligence. Well done in your presentation. Fingers crossed you beat your brother's numbers, and everything crossed that you go ahead with the 100!! Glad the bears didn't ambush you! 😂

I just found amazing stories in the comments, inspirational and motivating. Even though I don't know any of you I feel so proud of each one of you girls. That made me also want to share the beginning of mine.
So, today is my penultimate day in rehab. I had surgery on my feet 7 years ago and they gave me implants due to structural problems. Sadly, they did not work very well for me and I developed fibrosis apart from the fact that one of them fell out of place. They were removed about 2 and a half months ago and I have been in rehab for 2 months. I'm starting to exercise at home and from time to time go swimming. I have always liked exercise but couldn't do it because of my feet. Now, I want to go little by little, testing my limits but also pushing them a little more, without fear. For the first time, I am going to a gym and I want to try different disciplines. Thanks, Natacha for the inspiration. Been following since 2018-2019 aprox, don't actually remember BUT 100% sure that was before pandemic lol

always happy to see you win in life, Natacha❤ could you please do a science video for starting training as an overweight person? People who gain a considerable amount after an illness or other conditions just get shamed and are told to stop eating. Usually, the scientific approach is limited to people who are not obese, leaving out or only lightly touching on issues like joint health, mobility, and basic proprioception training. Also, starting out with exercises optimized for smaller bodies can do serious harm, but there is so little information widely available about appropriate starting steps.

I am really grateful for your request. Everything you’ve said feels really important and it’s really valuable that you’ve raised it. I have thought about this a little and I think you are right, but I’ll really have to take some time to understand it as fully as I can. In the meantime, I think resistance training on machines could be a really amazing start, as well as some light dumbbell work for your upper body. Intuitively (not based on data, just my current understanding) cycling, rowing and swimming potentially feel like good cardio options: a mix of the two (concurrent, so the resistance and cardio I mentioned) could be a great start. I wouldn’t do much unilateral (one-side only) lower body unless it’s on machines just to be nice and safe.

Hi Natacha, awesome video as always ! I wish you well and wish you'll be able to compete the 100 mile run. Also, I'm a French hypnotherapist and fear of public speaking is a topic that you could tackle very easily with hypnosis :) especially to work on the physiological aspect (shaking, sweating...) because it means the autonomous nervous system probably links this kind of events (public speaking) with an emotional charge in your subconscious that is being blocked and constantly re-triggered every time you have to speak in front of people. If the emotion is released through the body when being hypnotised, the danger alert triggered by your nervous system will disappear and you'll be much calmer when doing conferences and so on ;-) (nb : hypnosis is NOT about not remembering things, or losing control, I work via visio (yes it is possible !) and usually simply talk to my clients who are very aware of what is going on and answer back to me. I prefer talking about being "more conscious" during hypnosis than comparing it to being asleep, because that's how I work :) ) Thank you for your qualitative content again ! x

I can't even finish the video yet without saying, Natacha, you're freaking awesome. What an amazing human being you are!!! Mario as well. You're younger than me but I look up to you guys. You're the best.
