@@1koolkat700 During the late 1970s, the Israeli aircraft inventory was basically the same as the US (F-4s, A-4s) during the Vietnam War. Both the Vietnam War and the Six Days/Yom Kippur War happened in the 1967 to 1973 time-frame. The same analogy can be seen between the Arab armies and the North Vietnamese in terms of equipment, with MiG-17s, MiG-19s and MiG-21s.
The North Vietnamese had about 16 aces throughout the War while the US only had 3 aces. At the same time Egypt had 5 aces and Syria had 7 aces. Israel had 49 aces. Don't forget the Israel-Arab and the American-Vietnamese battles happened while having the same aircraft and equipment.

@@LeonBelmont1000 Didn't the US broker a deal promising aid if Israel returns Sinai back to Egypt? Every time when you see the US sending "aid" to Israel annually remember the "aid" is the US paying Israel for returning the Sinai peninsular back to Egypt. And this also means Russia/Soviet loss influence in Egypt. The Sinai peninsular is worth trillions of dollars. The US $3 billion aid annually is a discount, even after 300 years, the US wouldn't finish up paying.

Israel enjoyed decades of facing only third world countries who could barely read and write.
That was never going to last. All its neighbors now are developing countries, but still field significantly powerful militaries.
By the time they become developed in the next decades Israel will no longer have its qualitative advantage anymore.

But are hurting to be retired. Eygpt just bought Rafale for political reasons. But will they actually get a good fighter? Maybe the west will let them have good misiles. And base them where they need to. Western countries mainly the US maintain too much control over the aircraft. The russians let you have the freedom to do what you need to with the aircraft. But in the past the russians have given away intelligence on how to defeat the aircraft they've sold. France has also given freedom to nations. But only if big papa USA approves. So to sum up rafale would be a decent air to ground platform. But without access to meteor it is useless in air to air. MIG 29 being better in this case.

Beside these there are also Kizilelma(Red Apple) Anka-3 & 4 Programms for jet powered UCAV. Once these Project reach their serial Production Phase and Jet Engine Developments are Successfull, it's likely they will be exportet into Middle eastern Countries. These Systems in Inventory of the middle eastern States can pose a serious Challenge fir Israeli Air Force.
It's also important to mention the Air Defence Missile Programms from Turkey like, Hisar-A + & O + and Siper long Range Air Defence System. They can likely be exported in the middle East.

Any country can buy a plane, but it takes the right environment for training and decision making, something that many countries with modern weapons lack.
More importantly the airforce must be part of an integrated military system, because an airforce alone can't win the battle, that includes a good intel system and experience is also a plus. Now tell us again, who has the best, most effective airforce in the region?

I don't think that our Navy alone could handle a swarm like that. Too many computations to interpret in a short amount of time. My most recent time overseas demonstrated to me, that nearly everything landed inside the perimeter after it was shot down which led to unintended consequences.

It's hard to be a goliath of any realm of combat if you focus too much on technical capability over numbers, technical capability doesn't mean much when you can only field a very small portion of that force due to the maintenance downtime making readiness take a nose dive, even in peacetime let alone during war time.
There's definite benefits to having a technically less capable air force, but having a huge number of aircraft available, not only do you have that immediate benefit of having a large fleet, but also if they're technologically simpler, they'll be simpler to maintain, which means a higher sortie rate.
Also if the aircraft are simpler, training of both aircrews and ground crews is going to be easier and cheaper to do.
Being the king of the hill from a technological standpoint is a trap that is easy to fall into, everyone wants an X-wing rather than a Sopwith, but that X-wing doesn't mean sh1t if it's always in a hangar.

      @markymarknj 17 วันที่ผ่านมา

That's one lesson we can take from Nazi Germany in WWII. They had simply THE BEST aircraft! They had the first operational jet fighter. The Me262 was LIGHT YEARS AHEAD of anything the Allies had! It was 120 mph faster than the P-51. It was better armed; it had four 30mm cannon vs. six 0.50 cal machine guns of the P-51; and so on. However, they only had, at most, 70 of them in service, so the Allies simply overwhelmed them with a far superior number of inferior aircraft. If Nazi Germany had had even a couple of hundred Me262s during the war, we might be speaking German now.
I'm concerned that the US is repeating the same mistakes. Yes, we have the F-22 Raptor. Yes, it is simply THE BEST fighter out there! However, we only have 187 of them total, with perhaps 140 or so that can be mustered for combat operations. OTOH, China has at least 200 J-20s in service, and they're adding more every day. Russia has the incomparable Su-57 that is the most agile and maneuverable fighter in the skies today; in a WVR environment, there's nothing better. Thankfully, they only have like 32 in service right now; if they ever produce meaningful numbers of the Felon, we are SO SCREWED!

    • @danielmolinar8669
      @danielmolinar8669 17 วันที่ผ่านมา +3

@@markymarknj No, Germany did NOT have the best aircraft. The allies already had their own jet fighters being made at the same time and were arguably better than the German ones in some areas. Hell, The meteor probably became operational before the me262. The me262 had a plethora of design problems even if the engine was perfect (It was absolutely not). But the difference was that the US and UK had no need to send their best tech out, but Germany absolutely did. No, more me262s wouldn't have won Germany the war, it would only mean that Berlin would've been likely flattened and even nuked beyond recovery. Dresden 2.0 if you will. Don't forget that Germany's Bf109s got their asses kicked in the Battle of Britain by hurricanes, despite outnumbering them something like 4 to 1. The Bf-109 was good at the start of the war but got run out quickly as the war progressed as the Allies just simply had better aircraft. And perhaps even better tech overall.
Speaking of numbers, how many F-35s are there? And if you want to bring up "combat readiness" like a reformer, I'm sure the number is still high.

@@danielmolinar8669 there are key things you have to remember about the Battle of Britain. One, like the Spitfire, the Bf109 was a short range fighter; it was designed mainly with point defence and interception in mind. By the time the 109s got to Britain, they could only stay there for 15 minutes. OTOH, the Brits were on their home turf. They not only knew the skies; they didn't have to go far to fight. The fact that they were literally protecting their homes, families, and friends below them no doubt gave the British pilots extra motivation to do well; their backs were literally against the wall. Secondly, the Brits had radar, which was a game changer.
Secondly, I am familiar with the Me262's problems Its engines weren't durable or that reliable. However, they were the first of their kind, so that can be forgiven. The 30mm cannon on the 262 had nasty habit of jamming; that's not good. Even so the Me262 was far better than the P-51 Mustang if it was 100% functional.
Thirdly, I am familiar with the Gloster Meteor and the Lockheed P-80 Shooting Star; we had two Shooting Stars in Italy as the war wound down. We'll never know how they'd fare against the Me262, as they never met in combat. Given the spec sheets on both, particularly the Shooting Star, I think either fighter would've done well against the 262.
Finally, we have a few hundred F-35s in service with more on the way. That doesn't count our allies, who are also buying a lot of them. Even so, I wish we had more Raptors though; it's a world beater.

@@markymarknj I actually understand those nuances. I was responding to what seemed to a simplified description of WW2 production and was just saying that there was more to it than just numbers. A whole lotta shit in tandem with each other that even I don't fully understand yet.
But not, I see that I was mistaken in implying that you took the words of reformers based on that comment and I apologise.
As for the raptor, I too think its the best fighter out there, Period. But with how expensive it really was to maintain and how you can't really export that (and kinda outdated), I can see why it's production stopped, which was what the F-35 was for. And seeing how modular the F-35 seems to be, and given how abundant and modular it is, I can see the F-35 being a modern air Sherman or something like that.
But maybe if I get the USSR running again, the F-22 may be revived lol. Who knows?

Thanks for the update, good job, just a couple additions I'd suggest.
I think you're giving Iran too much benefit in Pilot training and quality as I'd grant the lead in those aspects to the Israelis and the pilot is the determining factor in 4th Gen fights. 5th Gen it's the systems, and oncoming 6th Gen will be AI and swarms of drones or AI penetrators. Iran would most likely lose their entire attack force if they tried striking Israel with their fighters, whilst Israel could strike Iran with probably minimal losses. Just saying.
I'd add concerning Egypt is that Egypt has a peace treaty with Israel and isn't a threat which is why the US is supplying assisting and training with the Egyptians.

The bottom line is Israel, Turkey, Greece and Egypt are the only viable airforces in the region. 2 are NATO members and two are NATO affiliated (Egypt and Israel). Iran, Syria, Libya etc who have old soviet era planes (even if they are getting some upgrades) can't really compete.

iran only need this fighter jet for dogfights with enemy fighter if it was necessary but not fo it own operations
Why are fighter jets being used in the first place?
Why don't we use land-based missiles instead of fighter jets for precision attacks?
There are two kinds of missiles: cruise missiles, which are accurate but lack range, and ballistic missiles, which are almost limitless in range but have very poor accuracy.
Fighter jets are used to deliver precision attacks with air-launched cruise missiles.
But why did they have to be air-launched?
Cruise missiles can't be long-range due to a problem known as "the tyranny of the rocket equation." For range, you require fuel. Fuel increases the weight, which decreases the range. So the answer they came up with was to move the missile close enough to the target with an aircraft, then launch the cruise missile. and for longer range they made aircraft carrier to move the fighter jet closer to target
But why don't we make ballistic missiles as accurate as cruise missiles to eliminate the need for fighter jets and aircraft carriers?
The ballistic missile that could go long range had a problem of its own known as "REENTRY PLASMA EFFECTS" which happens When slamming air particles into each other as fast as a reentering object does, the extreme heat from all this friction raises the temperature of the air so high that the gas becomes ionized, forming essentially a cloud of plasma around the outer surface of the craft in the reentry phase that interrupt the radio communications between a vehicle and ground station.
In simple terms, you can't guide it. Therefore, long-range ballistics are only used for nukes that lack of accuracy isn't an issue.
So obviously, when Iran announced that they somehow developed ballistic missiles with pinpoint accuracy, everyone dismissed it as propaganda. Even after Iran released the footage of a ballistic missile hitting the target with pinpoint accuracy,. Iran was accused of Photoshopping, despite the lack of any evidence to suggest the footage was altered. But after the attack on the US air base that all missiles achieved bullseye, everyone had to accept the fact that, just like the Persians were the only ones with Damascus steel technology, now they repeated similar unachievable technology. Uzi Robbin, the father of Israel's missile defense, said this in reaction to Iran's pinpoint ballistic missile . "By pushing a button, they were able to accomplish a task that we need to risk the lives of pilots and costly fighter jets to do the same. and they probably were under air conditions when they pushing the button"
Conclusion: iran doesn't need any aircraft or aircraft carrier to diliver precision attacks
