The poem the eagle is not a mere presentation of an eagle. Do you agree?
*The poem is a description of a bird perched on top of a rock, a presentation of nature as well as a symbol of authoritative people in society.
*The eagle is a rare bird who is powerful,strong , dangerous and swift. All thesequalities of an eagle can be seen in authoritative and powerful men
*The poem brings out many elements in nature such as eagle, sun, mountains, sky and thunderbolt
*Masculine personification brings out power and authority
*alliteration of hard /k/ brings out cruelty and danger
*powerful people are also dangerous just like the eagle
*the eagle expands power in the szure world
*the eagle isso high up in the sky
*hyperbole- high elevation and power and unreachability
*metaphor - power and strength of the bird
*the eagle is more powerful than sea.
*Ordinary people cannot reach or access powerful men easily.
*authoritative people associate with other powerful people as well as they don't have close friends
*Their lives are solitary , just like the eagle's
*mountain walls - metaphor
*brings out agility and royalty of the bird
*it is seperated from rest of the world
*eagle is like a thunderbolt- simile

Teacher can’t we say the last line, I mean “ like a thunderbolt he falls “ in a other way? Because before watching your video I understood this line in a other way. I understood this sudden falls from powerful people. I mean sometimes powerful people falls unexpectedly. For some instances financial falls, business falls like that. Sometimes it could be happen. Most powerful people can suddenly falls anyway. For examples Alexander emperor was a most powerful, popular emperor but he dead suddenly by severe fever, Julies seasor was a most powerful Roman emperor but he dead by a stabbing of his closer friend like that. Before watching your video my idea was that. “ If you are an eagle or if you want to be an eagle you will be very powerful but no one can say what will be the end of you “ As my thought that is the massage of poem. Am I right madem? Please tell

That idea totally changes the intended meaning of the poem. if you are an O/L student, the expected answer at the exam would be the power and danger of the eagle. and if you are an undergraduate you can argue it as the way you have mentioned above. but then you have to prove your point stating that the fall is not deliberate but it happened automatically or as fate allowed it. But for o/ls we interpret it as a deliberate and intentional fall of the eagle so that it doesn't mean the 'fall' that you have mentioned. plz note that this video is made for o/l students.

It may. But if you are an O/L student you are advised to use eagle as a symbol of supreme power. If you are a undergraduate then you can argue about impermanence of power
